Cirque Du Freak!

I didn't see a thread for this so i decided to make one. I really love the Cirque Du Freak series I have read every single book and I wish they never had ended. . I personally they think they could have done a little better with the actors and less comedy with a darker tone just by judging from the trailer. Come talk about this new movie in this thread that will be premiering on October 23rd 2009

i have read all the Darren shan books and when i found out they were making a film i was excited till i saw the trailer they turn this film into a fucking comedy :apathy

I think it'll be a good take on the series. I enjoyed the books but the movie itself looks good as well. If it was to serious to many people would compare it to twlight. With a nice amount of comedy it could turn out to be a fun movie to watch and that's most important. It's not like the movie will change the books, so why can't we enjoy two takes on it?

They're making a movie out of the books? Excellent news. How are they dividing it up? Anyone know. I'm wondering if they'll combine books 1-3 for the first film since it is a particularly long, but, good series.
