In the latest episode the new filler arc started, this time we'll witness the adventures of Team 8 (Hinata, Shino, Kiba) and Naruto during their search for the legendary bug: Bikouchuu. It seems that said bug would be able to follow a scent even miles away, so Tsunade plans to use it to finally find Sasuke's location. The little expedition started and soon the Genin, with the guidance of Shino, found out the location of the Bikouchuu Forest. Though in the darkness, still unspotted enemies are planning behind their backs. Will the Genin reach the Bikouchuu? Will the enemies reveal themselves? Will this be the last filler arc?

I believe Hinta will be the person to look out for in this one...Naruto will see her growth during this filler arc and look at her with a new set of eyes so to speak...on a side note i really like how the weaker nins...ie sakura and hinta are getting tired of being in the shadows and starting to work harder to get stronger...it will be interesting to see how naruto view hinta three yrs from now but it looks like we may not know until next summer possible at the rate things are going on the manga side...

To get back on topic...I am actually looking forward to episode 149 since 148 was probably the first decent filler that I've seen(101 is funny, but there is actually a short story manga that it was based on). I like seeing more of Team Kurenai so I have high hopes. Hopefully the villains won't be lame considering the fillers have a bad record for that.

This will not be the last filler episode for this arc...Pazuzu has summaries all the way to episode 150 and the filler doesn't look like it ends with 150. The last two filler arcs, if I remember right, have been 6 episodes long. So this one will end, by going on this idea, with episode 153...which is coincidently the season finale.

First of all i would like to say that hinata is a great character that doesnt get very much play and i wish to see more of her and that technique she is working on must be the shit because even neji was like damn, and neji is like above the others except garra, sasuke, and naruto, i think, because if you read the manga you would see what i mean, anyway neji is a big deal and has extreme power and for him to give hinata a double look for what shes cooking up is big since he has that 128 move jutsu, also shino is another in the dark character mostly because he doesnt talk much unless things need to be said. they might show him doing some interesting things like he did with Kankurou but even during that battle it seemed shino was vulnerable and he is anything but, he just needs to shine somehow, and this is his time to shine, but someone that i really think they need to show more of is Ten-ten because only rock lee and neji in that team are the ones who are shown and exploited more, but ten-ten needs more cover, they made her seem like shes the weakest of all of them when shes the master with kunai(metaphor so dont kill me for this) and well to end this the rest of the fillers should be promising and they better hurry up and show the manga because fillers seem stale to me sometimes, like there is no life popping out of the characters, in what they do, how they act, or what they say, and also naruto should use more than that cloning technique all the time he knows more stuff hell make him pop out a damn frog here and there instead. anyway ... im done....................... naruto rules

Yea I said I wanted to see her new move...I just dont like her as a character. She is too quiet and she is annoying. Thats my opinion. If you don't agree then oh well. Don't cry about it lol. (I am not talking directly to you but in general to anyone who bashes me for not liking hinata)

Hinata is just the annoying little quiet girl that has a crush on the annoying little loudmouth boy. Also there is no such thing as a "sex-appeal" to a girl without pupils, in my opinion. Temari, however, is absolutely hot.

Being a girl, this might not mean much, but Hinata is not the hot type. She's a mousy looking girl. She's cute and sweet and that's her appeal. But... hot?! What?! That's not even close to her character.

I would also like to reiterate the fact that this girl, along with Sakura and Ino, are in fact, twelve. That's illegal for many a people here.

This filler was a good one, compared to the ones before. I like the Sasami arc, but the Idate and Mizuki arc made me want to bash my head repeatidly on the computer moniter. This one was cute and enjoyable. But at the same time...

I don't like the fillers changing the characters too much. For example, I cringed when I saw Sakura rip the mast of the ship. Sakura is not strong. Not then. Nor do I believe after the arc [exlposive strength is different]. Ino I didn't mind too much of, because that move we all knew she was going to learn.

But Hinata pulling a naked Sailor Murcery on us was kind of... cheesy. This is a shounen manga, not a magical girl series. Flipping through the manga, there was not one scene that was remotely like this. Hinat becoming better at taijustu is one thing, another to do a pretty water dance with a SUPA KEWL JUTSU! is another. I do admit I would like to see it but... we don't even know where Hinata's character is yet.

And she's twelve. NO twelve year old has a figure like that.

If they are going to change the dynamics of the Hinata-Naruto relationship in this filler I'm not going to be pleased. That is something I want Kishimoto to do, and without the shoujo-y cliche.

Well this turned out to be the low point of the fillers for me. Having achieved *nothing* for virtually all the episode =/

Well at least there's no more bug hunt after this now that Hinata needs saving \o/

The only thing that got me was why did everyone ignore Hinata when she saw the three followers, saying that Akamaru would have smelled them isn't something I find plausable -__-

Anyway, this episode makes the other fillers look great IMO :sad

If anything they screwed themselves. Kishimoto isn't gonna change his storyline for them. Just look at how he's still drawing Chouji with blonde hair and Gaara with brown hair, let's not forget the memorial of Konoha's heroes, even if the anime differs, he's going on his own way.

I had some expectations for this filler episode considering how 148 was going in the right direction...however, this episode did not meet those expectations. There was another fanservice, with Tsunade(at least she's older..but its going from 12 years old to 50 years old)...what's going to happen next week...a shizune fanservice. Again, like all fillers arcs, the villains come off as very lame. Oh why did they show one of Shino's eyes...the animators screwed themselves over when Kishi reveals what's behind those glasses(for all we know Shino may not have any eyes, the bugs tell him where to go). Though Hinata fought, she was still shown as week and it kind of broke down all the improvement that she has supposedly done. Hopefully she will show this improvement later on since this filler won't end at 150. The only thing about this episode is that there was more team kurenai and that's all I asked for. Compared to the other filler episodes...it was better than most of them but it doesn't take much to do that, but again like true filler fashion the villains are lame, the animators screw something up, and characters are shown to be weaker/stronger than they actually are...at least it has been two episodes in a row where Naruto has not used the Rasengan...:D

They just freakin' stood there when Shino walked right in front of him. How stupid are they? Really now... and they still followed Naruto around after being duped like that HOW MANY times?:P *sigh* And to think they can take on the Genin who are secretly Jounin of Konoha.

It'll be nice if this coming episode is the conclusion to this filler though. I don't want to consider just how long they would be able to drag this out. Come on, Kakashi Gaiden.

I loved this episode! It had humor, action, everything a good episode needs. I was so happy for Hinata when she found it and even happier when Naruto hugged her. I know this isn't part of the manga, but I wonder if Kishimoto has something to do with it. He probably just told them what she'd be like post time skip and they started to develop her. For the first time since she fought Neji!!! ^_^

two great filler episodes back to back? this new arc seems to have been sent from the heavens. though i was a little annoyed about how easily hinata was taken down by those bug rejects. but i guess she was pretty tired after all that bug searching used up all her chakra. but the part when naruto gave hinata a congratulatory hug was heartwarming :)

There was a mistake in translation by Dattebayo. According to Nihongaeri's translation, what Hinata actually said when she was trapped was that she had run out of chakra a long time ago, so no escaping.

That said... it's all fillers. >.>

Thats what I thought was going to happen. Taijuu Kage Bunshin seemed to be the quickest way. But I see Hinata is the star of this arc.

I like this filler arc and im probably going to keep it unlike the last couple of terrible filler arcs. Its fun to watch a little comedy find its way back into Naruto. Hopefully with this upcoming battle with the enemy bug clan this filler arc won't go down hill as it seems thats where the weakness lies in the anime creator team.

'coz these shudn't deviate too much from the main story line... and he long b4 might have decided what the climax wud be... like pairing of characters... if kishimoto is willing naruto to be paired up with sakura or some1 else... then the anime team can't make a filler in which hinata was made pregnant by naruto... just kidding...

Actually, Hinata and everyone else are 13 now, according to the data book. It's been at least a year since their adventures started.

Hinata has also always had more of a figure than the other girls, go back and watch other eps/read the manga. The irony being, of course, that she's the shyest and covers herself with that huge coat.

I hope we see Naruto do some Summoning action for once. It makes sense: summon a giant frog to eat all the enemy bugs!

Assuming that the whatever clan are part of the Stone Nin (I dont remember seeing headbands, but they are confirmed to be from the Earth Country, which would give them likely some connection with Iwagakure.), it may even be a Stone Nin specialty.

Also are any of the manga readers seeing a certain slight coincidence in events with what happened in the Gaiden? It isnt EXACTLY the same, but it -is- the first thing that came to mind.

Depend on point of view, don't know about other people but I really like ep.148-149 (and probably 150, too).
This arc, Naruto and Team 8 Adventure, has a lot of funny stuffs ( I laughed all of 2 episodes) :laugh . I always think of team 8 is quite the most serious and most efficiency in 4 teams (I mean efficiency for mission not strongest for battle; see note below) , :shino :Hinata saw how they were handle with Naruto, the most loudest mount prankster, who took mission with them. That cause them a lot of troubles. :P

(I don’t take filler episodes seriously, for me its just for fun or fill gap. If I don’t like some arcs I just ignored. )

Also that bee clan must be pretty stupid the way they tried to hide from the Genin team. What kind of ninja would stay on the top of some trees looking down at the enemy the way they did(unless the camera angle was really distorted)? Naruto himself could hide better with all his loudness.

First off you took one small very small factor from Gaiden and then instantly started believed based off a lot of nothingness that this is a copycap episode. Please spare me I don't see anything remotely similar to Gaiden in this new arc besides the two small things mentioned. The one you mentioned is probably just a coincidence and that jutsu mentioned was just to possibly build up to Gaiden that's all. Uggh :nerve ! Don't make so much out of nothing! When finished pre-time skip, followed by Kakashi’s Kaiden arc then beginning post-time skip. In manga we rarely have not seen other characters than Shika-kun , Gai’s team (which barely have role now) and the rest of Team 7.

If anime following manga every steps and every details then it could be boring ‘cause we could not see other characters in the near future.

I don't know about you guys, but the quality of the anime Naruto for me has been going on a steep decline. Too many cliches and predictable plots. Don't expect to find out about kakashi's story after this one but rather more of lame ass bad guys that have gay laughs who only get KO'd by Rasengan as well as Naruto saying "I won't give up on finding sasuke." x100.

So far, the arc beats the last arc with a giant ramen noodle. :amuse Good fillers should have good comedy, and this one provided exactly that.

I loved it when Naruto was looking for the bug and, after the first failure, came across a GIANT version of the bug, with an elephant trunk. It was obvious that they didn't find the right one, even before they shown the picture of what they were looking at. We had the shocked look in their eyes (looking at something on a BRANCH? must be pretty big to see it from down there...) and the "Sexy" music? :blink Kinda wrong ...

Some good Hinata moments as well. I think this arc will pretty much be about Hinata and her desire to be a better teammate, for everyone.

Gotta love the cute Hinata when Naruto hugged her. Soooo cute! "OMG OMG I'm soooo close to him! WOW!" :amazed

At first I thought that they would fight Hinata, or rather, a fake Hinata or a "Controlled" Hinata. :sad It showed some legs and the crew in front, shocked and mad. But after re-checking ... Hinata doesn't wear that short of pants/shorts, and the enemy check does. There was a paper talisman attached to her hand or something though... she must have something dumb up her sleeve "If you don't give me the bug, I'll ignite this talisman and the bees will eat your chick!" ... bleh :oh

We could still possibly see Neji coming in and helping, because I'm sure the enemies are "invisible" or will be ... and Neji would be able to see them. Or better yet: Shino working it. :cool

I mean, when he passed the invisible enemies in this episode, it looked like he placed some bugs on them. Thus, he would know where they were if they pull that trick. It would also lead up to a great way for Shino to battle and pull out some new tricks :tem ... only to be saved :huh by Naruto's r... argh, I don't even want to think about it ... bad... BAD! :mad

I think 148 is better than 149, and the characters were badly drawn, but it could've been worse. I wished Hinata would be shyer, because in 148, when shino and kiba revealed her embarassing moment with naruto, she shouted at them instead of being the usual shy person.

I actually like these filler arcs as they are giving some much needed development to characters like Hinata, Sakura, and Shino. In the last arc, I think it was significant because it gave Sakura an initiating action for wanting to train with Tsunade and get stronger.
