First and foremost: The Thief Series. This has me body and soul. Immersive, Gritty, Fleshed-out story set in a steampunkesque magical pseudoLondon. A fan base making wicked-awesome missions.

Along the same lines, I've loved the Splinter Cell games. Not as swoon-inducing as Thief, but hella good.

Throw in the usual Zelda, maybe FF, the Total War series, Command and Conquer, and what series Half-life has made for itself. I'm probably missing something.

My favourite hobby is teasing people who say they're die-hard FF-fans but won't pay for FFXI. Not counting the ones who can't afford that, of course xD I'm not that mean ;3

The MGS-series also had quite the impact on me but I haven't managed to play Snake Eater yet because I don't have money to buy it. Oh well, it should be cheaper soon ^^

MGS: I started a lil weird with MGS 2 being my first taste but now i cant live without Snake and pals
DMC: Brilliant games both in atmosphere and gameplay, camera is resident evil like but the game moves like a demon, DMC 3 also remains one of the single hardest games i own
Zelda: Always love the Zelda series as the games have caused me many sleepless nights, i could never tear myself away from a difficult puzzle because I knew a new item would be round the corner
Pokemon: Simply some of the most addictive games ever, Gold and Silver being the best and most addictive, I couldn't put it down even at ridiculous times like 4am
Golden Sun: While only being two games (so far) it's a series that I really love, the concept is brilliant and the gameplay is like a dream

CORRECT. Same for me.
But in all honesty, nowadays I might be able to live without Mario games. I wouldn't be that bummed if they stop making Mario games. I don't play them much anymore.
But I could never give up Zelda, ever.
But if we're talking about like, erasing their existence from even the past, I'd have to say Mario would have to stay, and I'd add Sonic on.
Oh, and also, sadly, Kingdom Hearts for me.
