Shino's Angry Eyes Fanclub

In the latest episode of Naruto (148) we got to see Naruto set off with Shino, Kiba, and Hinata to find a bug.

However, Shino seems to be scowling at something through the course of the entire episode...his expression -never- seems to change. Apparently he only brought his Angry Eyes on this mission.

Thus I'd like to announce the formation of...drumroll please! The "Shino's Angry Eyes" fanclub!

Wasn't he just angry with Naruto the whole time? I think he was saying something like "Naruto, I am the team leader on this mission..." and kept telling Naruto to stop contradicting him.

No...He never once stopped scowling, even before Naruto. Come to think of it, I only remember one other time when Shino didn't have "The Scowl"--when he was shocked by Gaara's brutal killing of the Rain Genin during the Chuunin exams.

I think Shino's always looked like that, LOL. XD Seriously, I'm looking at Google's image results for Shino and Shino Naruto, and he's angry-looking in all of them! Look! He's probably angry because there's a bunch of bugs crawling around in his afro.

To be honest, I can't think of how Shino can look angrier. Maybe if his eyebrows went vertical. XD I guess you could have those ugly veins popping out of his forehead. And have his sunglasses crack, revealing evil glowing pink eyes dripping with bloody bug guts and maggots.

There is exactly -one- scene I believe in which Shino does not have angry eyes and that would be when Gaara kills the Rain ninjas in the Chuunin exams.

Yeah, I think Shino just realized that his angry look paled in comparison to Gaara's psycho face, which would make him look silly, so he figured he'd give his eyebrows a rest.

Just going by memory here, but I think Shino has a momentary "surprised" look on his face one or two times during the fight with Kankurou. I think one time for when he was stabbed in the head, and then when the giant poison cloud appeared.

He quickly reverted back to his angry eyes though, I'm sure. >=]

That was a bit freaky, lol. However, we only saw one eye - from a side view! Maybe he only has one eye, and the other eye is... a rainbow-colored eye... of DOOOO-OOOOO-OOOO-OOOOM.

I think I went a little overboard with the banner, so I made up for it by making a simple and very blunt button. I was going to just say "Shino's Angry Eyes FC" in it, but that seemed too predictable.

LOL, that is awesome! You're right, he does look quite a bit angrier. Pretty scary... The bunched up bits of skin above his nose really add to it.

I guess that's what you would call his angry face... and his seemingly angry-eyed face is actually his normal face.

IMO...yea I agree it is just the way his eyebrows slope. However, if you look at it, they aren't THAT angry because if you look at where his eyes should be behind the glasses based on their position...they just look slanty then. See what I mean: (I had some fun with photoshop):

Two versions to show him with normal eyes, and (the more likely version and what I think is true) with no eyes and just blank eye sockets. (So he see's through the eyes of the kikaichuu).

I do have a picture of him looking straight at you w/o glasses that's from the anime, but I can't figure out what episode it's from. It's not 149, cause I just watched that, and you don't see his face full on w/o glasses.
