Haha, I just checked my pathetic DA and saw some activity. But I will go through it proper tomorrow. In a midst of a msn meeting to discuss about our homework.

It's about game theory, and our teacher was nice enough to put in this major typo. Guess I have to redo the whole thing and meet him on Monday to clear some doubts.

Furthermore, this lecturer will be my thesis supervisor if I decide to do a thesis. He is a nice lecturer, but his typos do give me "heart attacks" sometimes.

Hee, I got to go back to the meeting now. Can't shirk off for too long.^^

Most of you don't have to wear uniforms to school right? I had to wear a uniform from primary school all the way till the end of college. No makeup, except for performances.

Oh, and Naruwards is voting for "Saddest Moment (http://forums.narutofan.com/showthread.php?t=282974)", you all know which sad moment to vote for.

I had to wear a uniform in most of highschool until I switched schools. o_o From age 12-16 I wore a uniform.

The problem is that none of the girl characters in Naruto suit him. I do think he's straight and a girl would be good but none of the ones in the story suit him much in my opinion.

Well the one good thing about a uniform is that when you get up in the morning, you don't have to decide what to wear since it's always the same. And also, no one at the school judges you based on what you wear....because they all wear the same thing. XD

So there are good things about uniforms. I just hated that I still had to wear a skirt in the dead of winter.

And yeah, don't feel bad about looking younger than others your age. That ends up being a good thing later on. It means that maybe when you're 40, you will look 35. Although I don't think being 40 is a bad thing. People need to accept aging more I think. XD Who wants to be the same forever anyway? And I've never bashed the looks of old people because the fact is we will all be old one day unless we die young. And I don't consider being old as 'really what a person looks like'. Techniqually what you really look like, your genetics, is basically what you look like when you're a young adult. After that, it's not really genetics or what you really look like, it's just age.

Although I don't mind that I still get carded when I order an alcoholic drink. The drinking age here is 19. Of course I know that in general people just say "Card everyone who looks 25 or younger just incase." I learned that in one of my classes. XD

I think I look my age but also younger.

Well basically the fact is that once you get to a certain age, you basically look the same for like 10 years. Or basically, it doesn't change very fast anymore. Throughout your childhood and early teens, you have been growing constantly. So you could look quite different between even just 1 or 2 years. I'd say once you get to be 15-17 though you basically start levelling off and then people don't change as fast and look more or less the same for a number of years. The change starts to be just much slower.

The worst part about that is that most women actually believe that. I don't understand why that happens, since most people I know doesn't get affected by such things. I don't see any positive things about that... All I see is that it gives people really bad self-confidence.


Youths have been pretty badly treated these past few years. People seem to see young people as bad people. Like everyone that's young can cause other people trouble. The young people are beeing blamed for bad things that happens, when we might not even have anything at all to do with it. Sometimes I just wonder. Where the hell is this world going? :facepalm

At my place at the hotel, I'm one of the few who doesn't have to wear a uniform. I'm a co-op student in human resources there and we don't have to wear a uniform in that department. However we always have to dress nice. Like nice dress pants and nice long skirts and nice sweaters, etc.

So there is still a dress code. And I only have so many outfits to wear. I might have to buy more.

I admit I like free expression though. I love it when I can express who I am. I am kind of eccentric, so I don't really like being repressed. However it's the way our society is in most cases. :(

Well, Deidara usually looks good in the animation. Usually better then the others. Because he's so easy to draw. :amuse

Yeah, I've said that I think it's because of his hair. XD The fact that it covers half his faces makes his face easier to draw because you don't have to draw half of it and therefore his eyes will never look off or anything. A lot of characters sometimes look off because one of their eyes ends up looking off center from the other eye. That can't really happen to Deidara in at least most cases.

I'd say once you get to be 15-17 though you basically start levelling off and then people don't change as fast and look more or less the same for a number of years.
It's rather different here. If you take the secondary to junior college to university path like me, you are subjected to the uniform and no makeup rule till the end of college (18+ years). Most girls in college start shaping their brows and getting better haircuts, but the true metamorphosis happens after college:jk, coz in uni you are given the liberty to dress up.

We've never had to wear uniforms. That feels really nice. :P In Sweden we usually don't need to do that.
I know the Scandinavian countries really value the tenets of liberal democracy. :P Now that I can wear anything I like to school, I do miss my uniform days. I find it a chore to dress up. On most days I am clad in tees and jeans. I only use sunscreen and powder foundation.:laugh

-> 30 chapters to Hidan and Kakuzu, at least 15 weeks. Around 14-15 Feb, assuming that there are no breaks, and that is quite an assumption .

-> 35 chapters to Dei and Tobi, around 6-7 March, following the same assumption. Man that’s so long! I want to see my good boy again!

There has never been a single filler on Akatsuki as far as I know. I never watched all the fillers so I don't really know, I just don't think there ever was.

In some ways it might be a good thing though because some of the fillers make the characters look really dumb. I wouldn't want them to degrade Akatsuki in any way. I only want filler of them if it's actually good.

Tobi ventured outside of the Akatsuki lair. His sempai had disappeared somewhere, but he didn't find him anywhere inside. He had noticed Deidara was upset, but he didn't know why, and he was worried about him. I hope he's okay, he thought as he came to the outskirts of the forest surrounding the lair. He stopped between two trees when he noticed his partner.

Deidara was trying to keep the tears from sipping out of his eyes. Why did all those stuff have to happen to him? Sure, he was always playing tuff on the outside, but he did take things seriously, even if it was just a joke. He was tired of everything. He hated everyone, even himself. He just wanted to die. Perhaps he should just blow himself up right here, and not care about the agreement he had with Leader - To stay alive as long as possible. He did not want that anymore. He just wanted everything to end.

And those thoughts made him break down, the tears started running down his cheeks. He couldn't take it anymore, he couldn't hold all his feelings inside any longer. He widened his eyes when he heard a worried voice.
"Sempai, are you alright?" Oh great, Tobi had to find him when he was in this condition. Well, now that that had happened, he couldn't possibly lie. Well, you can join an FC without being active in it just so you can be on the list. And FCs do usually still like people joining even if they aren't active because I think everyone likes to have a lot of people on the list.

And yes, there was a lot of spam here a number of months ago. It was fun for the people doing it but not for everyone else since we had to wade through pages of it to find the more meaningful discussion posts. It also made the list harder for Danny(he was the owner back then) to update due to all the spam. I mean, you have to go through way more pages to find the new members. I think it was around the time that the spam started that he stopped updating the list. And he'd get frustrated and end up just saying "wheeee" in the FC when he came in, adding to the spam sort of. I think the spam is basically why he gave up on this place and why he left. :oh At least that's kind of what he told me.

I just spent a few HOURS scanning on another doujin. I only have 2 doujins so far and scanned the other one a few weeks back. This one I got in the mail a couple days ago. Took a while to scan each page, crop, resize, and then file it all and upload it.

It has a lot of Itachi in it, some Kisame, and then a part with Deidara and Sasori. It might be slightly yaoi but not really. And I mainly bought it for the art. The art is very beautiful.

I have not eaten a pomegranate but it has been getting rather popular here recently, due to it's antioxidant properties. It is being incorporated into many drinks out there, like soy milk, milk, juice cocktails. I have tried it and found it rather strange. It tastes like rose tea. I think drink manufacturers should take it easy with the mixing around of drinks, especially for soy milk. I have tried soy milk with red bean and soy milk with pomegranate juice, and both tasted rather repulsive.

It is being incorporated into many drinks out there, like soy milk, milk, juice cocktails. I have tried it and found it rather strange. It tastes like rose tea. I think drink manufacturers should take it easy with the mixing around of drinks, especially for soy milk. I have tried soy milk with red bean and soy milk with pomegranate juice, and both tasted rather repulsive.

Yeah, I prefer to stay at home, coz going out is rather expensive. I absolutely hate shopping, I think it is a total waste of time and money. I very much prefer to read. Coz I am quite crazy and am very prone to doing silly things unknowingly. Last Friday, my friend and I were in a huge bookstore looking for this book on the Thai King. So we were at the political science section, surrounded by some serious looking people, browsing around. So we searched and searched and when I found it, I just exclaimed, "Ah!" and those serious looking people just turned and stared at me. But my equally crazy friend and I just laughed at our silliness and went to pay for the book.

Oh that very same day, we saw a frog just hop out from the bushes. We were in town and basically, in Singapore, you don't see frogs hopping out from bushes very often. I was so happy when I saw it that I skipped forward to take a closer look and that poor frog scurried frantically back into the bushes.:cry

You don't have to memorize anything.

What I do is I start off from where I was last online and I multi-quote all the posts I want to reply to.

Just hit multi-quote under each post you want to reply to and then go to reply and it will have quoted everything.

It makes it much easier.

Also about the eyes hurting thing....I've discovered that if you have a lot of really bright lights on in your room at the time, it won't hurt your eyes so much. If you are in a dark or dim room, it hurts your eyes a lot more to look at the screen. And also just take breaks and look away from the screen for a few minutes every now and then.
