Okay guys, assemble your dream team in the Narutoverse, you can make one consisting of everyone or a "good/evil side" team.

I ask you to try and stay clear of super strong guys like Madara, Pein, Yondaime and maybe the other Hokages, and try to avoid taking into consideration things like Kyuubi

Gaara: The amazing Gaara, those Sand jutsus are just too awesome, and can take a lot of people down at the same time. Gaara's speciality is Ninjutsu. Also he could protect the whole team with his sand.

Kiba: You can't go wrong with Kiba, he can track down people, and can one-shot them if he gets a direct hit, I think Kiba's simple jutsus with Akamaru have an amazing destructive power.

Sakura: Oh my dear Sakura, the girl of the team, amazing Taijutsu user and the Medic specialist of the team. We need some spice on the Team! And she's my favorite girl.

Gai: He is THE Taijutsu user, I would prefer Lee as my main Taijutsu user, but I like Gai a lot, and he would be my team leader! Not to mention his weapon of choice are the nunchucks and he has the POWER OF YOUTH!

Kakashi Hatake - bags of in the field experience while not as powerfull as Sasuke or Naruto he makes it up with his intelligence and is a first rate Squad leader

Yamato- Mokuton Techniques add range to the group while I don't think he is close to the other guys he adds more balance when facing ranged fighters

Substitute: Neji(jounin) - 360 vision, chakra stopper, all around skilled.

Kakuzu - ruthless, super durable, stone skin, 5 hearts, all elements
orochimaru - ruthless, super evasive, forbidden jutsu, Manda, kusanagi
deidara - Ranged/Air - misleading/unpredictable with his explosions.
Kabuto - battle exp with orochimaru, better than kakashi, medic, (somehow always escapes death) can summon the dead.

Madara: I mean, well... He's just awesome.
Itachi: Again he's awesome, incredible speed, highly intelligent, very powerful.
Gaara: He has huge Chakra levels, plus with a little bit of sand he can do anything, even make a whole desert!
^ Not to mention the fact these three are all nice bits of eye-candy, never hurts to distract your enemies.
Naruto: Pretty obvious why you'd want him on any team really.

Good Guys

Shikamaru: He has excellent analytical skills, even though he doesn't have variety in his jutsus, he makes every move count.
Naruto: Again, he has incredible amounts of power.
Gaara: Same reason as before.
Neji: You can't deny the usefulness of the Byakugan. Yes, the Sharingan is amazing, but the range of the Byakugan would work better with this group than the Sharingan, which is really a close range ability.

Bad Guys

Pain: He does have that whole 6 bodies thing going for him, and since they're already dead they can take a lot of punishment.
Sasori: With his ability to turn people into human puppets he can basically take his pick of jutsus, and he has the 100 puppet technique. With all of them under his control (same with Pain) the numbers will act as an advantage since they have flawless teamwork rather than getting in each others way.
Itachi: His speed, his Sharingan, he's general bad-ass-ness, gotta have him on any team of bad guys...
Hidan: Immortality is always a plus, even if he can only take out one person at a time, his team mates don't have to worry about protecting him.
