Benehime - Slim, elegant and sexy like it's wielder.

Zangetsu - Jaw sword, but the Ban Kai could have been so much more. Still, Shikai awesomeness ftw.

I'm curious why so many people are saying Benehime, we haven't really seen anything of Benehime, just her shikai form, no abilities or anything. Granted Urahara is by far one of my favorite characters and I have no doubts Benehime will eventually be shown to be cool, but seriously, the sword hasn't done anything yet.

1. Wabisuke- its so original, rather that just being able to release some uber crazy energy attack or have some flashy look to it, it requires strategy to wield it. Rather that just have now some powered up uber sword to attack your enemy, Wabisuke weighs down the enemy every hit it makes on the enemy causing the opponent to be unable to wield their weapon. It also cool cuz it's name is sort of a pun.

2. Zabimaru- very cool looking in Shikai form with an awesome ability to it. Then the Bankai is also awesome cuz Renji gets those things on his shoulders and that huge snake thing is pretty awesome.

3. Isshin's Zanpaktou

My top three and why...


1) Zangetsu, in all its forms. Shikai, Bankai, even the dinky nameless version Ichigo wielded against his Inner Hollow.

2) Hyourinmaru, again in all its forms. You just don`t see ice magic-type weapons kicking ass often enough.

3) Zabimaru, in all forms -- especially the Shikai, which isn`t just a sword-whip but an actual all-purpose weapon that can be used at pretty much any range. His Bankai seems to be medium-to-long range only, in my opinion.

And an honorable mention for Ikkaku`s Shikai, which is basically the bastard child of Zabimaru if you think about it.

Kira's zanpaktou can be one of the best when used strategicaly. I first understood it in the Hollow Arc when he was fighting with Daruku.

In no particular order..

Senbonzakura - What I love about the Shikai form is that it's an omni-directional attack, and when you add sunlight, it gives the opponent the illusion there are more than meets the eye. It's Bankai form is even cooler because you have Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, an attack that the user has no control over where it goes, but it still kills the enemy. It's also cool because it's a second defense mechanism (Though it's an only offensive move) for tougher opponents. THEN you have your Senkei, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi which is that area of all of those swords, and your enemy begins to slow down (from what I remember from the Ichigo vs Byakuya fight) and he totally beat the shit out of Ichigo untill his Hollow mask got on. The last thign I have to say about this was that his last attack (Can't remember off of the top of my head, but it was the last attack that he clashed with Ichigo with all of his Reiatsu since he didn't have many moves at the time) was pretty awesome.

Hyourinmaru - I haven't seen much from the anime, but when I saw the Hitsugaya vs Ichimaru fight, I was blown away by his Zanpaktou's Shikai form. It gives me a new love for ice. His bankai form was also pretty sweet, especially with the wings and tail and all, sucked how Sousuke still almost hacked off his right arm. Though I don't have much more to say for this one, it's takes the cake as one of my favorite Zanpaktous.

Zangetsu - It's huge, it's powerful, and it kicks ass. It's awesome to see Ichigo release a huge-ass amount of reiatsu through it via Tensai Zangetsu and etc. His Bankai form is even greater as his reiatsu is condensed to his speed so it makes him more mobile especially with the mastered form of Shunpo. Don't have much to say about this though, but it's pretty freakin' sweet.

Hōzukimaru-love the bankai, huge destructive swords
Zabimaru-I just like its released state although the bankai is awesome as well.

I like alot of them they all have their own special ability and each seems to be very effective.The ones I listed appeal to me in every way where as some others might be better to me if they looked as cool.I want to see more vaizard zanpaktous.

Hyourinmaru because it's awsome, ice is always awsome but damn! an ice dragon? Awsome

Suzume bachi (sp? well soi fong's shikai), even damn strong bankais take several hits to kill someone but her SHIKAI can kill any enemy within two hits. Soi Fong also has ungodly speed too. Her weapon isn't really made for slaughtering hoards of enemies, it's made for a 1 on 1 but imagine what her bankai would be! Insta-kill?

Tensa Zangetsu, I'm really not a fan of ichigo's shikai, it doesn't have the kind of impressive abilities that I like but his bankai is just badass, it's not some bulky thing like many bankai.

2. Suzumushi (Tousen's bankai is a complete hax, being deaf and blinded by darkness FTW !!)
3. Pantera (Grimmjow's ressurection is very bad ass, the claw abilities and the elbow projectiles would come in handy during a battle)
