Fat Pain is the Preta/Hungry Ghost realm (餓鬼道, gakidō)

Well, you are right guys that it may not be the leader, but i am pretty damn sure that he is the leader if not someone else. I mean, come on, you need a leader to keep everything in the akatsuki in balance, because who is to say that itachi, fly trap guy or anyone cant revolt and kill some of the members. Someone has to keep them in check, so i am guessing he is the strongest member in the group and naruto will probably be the one to kill him. Anyways, can I join?

I'll join, but i personally believe that him being a sharingan user is alot of bs, the only one shown so far that is fit for a leadership position(in my opinion) is Itachi. Even though i don't think that Itachi is the leader, he sure does seem to be the best qualified. The leader has an insane, unbelievable level of power. Once we actually see him fight, all other combat sequences in Pt. II will look as wimpy as all the combat sequences in Pt. I look relative to Sandaime/Oro and Naruto/Gaara. At one point Itachi will rebel against him and he will beat him so bad Itachi will cry. At this point the leader will also reveal the true nature of his eyes, which are WAAAY cooler than Sharingan/Byakugan combined, and are actually equal to the Eye of Sauron in terms of power level. No, I'm really not kidding. I just love really powerful mysterious characters.

The Leader of Akatsuki has to be the most powerful ninja that we know of in all of Naruto. I mean, like Kyuubi Naruto said, he orders 8 S-Rank criminals around to do his bidding. Now, just think of this, the leader has to be more powerful than all 8 of the other Akatsuki S-Rank criminals combined; otherwise they could possibly rebel, or atleast take over command, unless thay are all best friends wich I highly doubt, since the are all cold-blooded killers.

If the Leader is someone we already know then they will probably join the fcs. Thats what I heard from a mod/smod/admin. If its a very popular character then they will keep the fcs separate since they have 2 different personalities.

You just need to think for a little while and you will spot it.

He kinda wants to capture the kyuubi. Ie: cause the death of Naruto. Several people do not want that to happen. One of them being the current hokage.

Sarutobi Shiome: Sarutobi Shiome was born the son of Sandaime Hokage. Older brother to Asuma, father of Konohamaru, friend of Yondaime, and father of Naruto. You see. Shiome is 37-38 right now. Making him 10 years Asuma's senior. He was always strong and Yondaime looked up to him, but Yondaime was a failure. One day, Yondaime went to some ancient shrine and oh snap! he got kyuubified. The demons were released once again. The 2nd Ninja War began. Yondaime was able to harness the kyuubi power and became very strong, quickly surpassing his friend Shiome. Shiome grew jelous and began to train more and more until he too was uber beyond measure. But still, the Kyuubi remained in his way. After the third war, when Yondy was announced as Hokage, Shiome got pissed. He used some seal to release the demon from Yondy. It wrecked havok. In the end, Yondaime sealed the demon back into himself, but the process reverted him back to a baby. Shiome was still angry. He left in anger to kill all demons! Muahahahaha. O_@

Or maybe Shiome had Naruto (illegitimate son) and Konohamaru (legit son). Then he was like I must sacrifice my son. Grrr.

My opinion of the the great Akatsuki leader (no, I did the extra the on purpose). But be forwarned...thar be spoilers! Arh.

The Akatsuki leader would definately possess similar techniques that Orochimaru has- namely things such as Edo Tensei (tensai? I can't remember which), the Immortality technique, and probrobly has more techniques that require sacrifices than the 3rd Hokage's entire aresenal of techniques. That and he would have look more like a dead man or the Shimigami in terms of apperance (reguardless of who you think he is).
