How I Saw Chapter 458 (Hinata needs to use her Byakugan to find a new haircut)

Editing manga is almost never a chore for me because I'm given so much great material, even if the words weren't there as a guideline to begin with. When the lead of a Japanese mangaka's pencil touches paper, it doesn't draw -- it transmogrifies everything on that page into pure melodrama. Every expression in the Japanese repertoire, from a consternated glare to a blank gaze, is over the top and makes everything unintentionally humorous.

This time I decided to go with Chapter 458. Anyone who's ever read my manga edits, though they be few and far between, know that I usually rip on pairings -- I didn't have much interest in doing that this time around, though there is some commentary.

Let it be known, as an aside, that to me personally, this manga grows more and more hilarious every week Hinata doesn't show up after the world's crappiest romantic interlude. Just watching this Hinata-obsessed forum squirm is enough to make my day a little brighter. Even the mods can't contain their wangst.

Haven't seen the buddy on Narutofan you used to talk to everyday? He probably said Hinata smells like toe jam; everybody knows that's a one way ticket to the stockades, so you better watch the fuck out or the admins will kick you out of their comic book club for an hour.
