if the "little" kids run around with their fake or maybe real forehead protectors i'm gonna carry around a wooden bat and hit them right in the forehead whenever i see one. i know it sounds kinda harsh but it's the only way to knock sense into kids these days. we were here first, i dont think they should be able to ruin all the fun for us.

It's life, I'm sure most of you were glued to other cartoons. You watch it too so its basically the same, its cartoons. Their kids, let them have their fun. Hell, I see teenagers wearing Headbands!
How is it ruining your enjoyment to see a kid enjoying it too? If a kid is enjoying the same hamburger as you are are you going to go throw it in the trash?

I doubt I will be able to restrain myself from spoiling those guys. Heck if the go to fansites or even forums like this one they will be spoiled automatically. Luckilly not all of them take it as seriously as the anime only viewers.
Wearing head protector in public....... das not cool.
But I can see kids having toys, bags, pencil boxes, etc., but definately not head protectors. Imagine the humiliation. Unless for some odd reason kids find it cool to be pretend ninjas in public, school, outside of their playground. But if that day comes, expect kids to be wearing cosplay costumes as well.

I just wanna get a big ass Akatsuki coat and walk around kicking the kids who wear Kohona forehead protectors in the face... Because, it will get them involved in the series, and it will be a great stress relief to me.
Plus the Akatsuki coats are all kinds of badass.

You know, I'd be more compelled to hit a teenager wearing a forehead protector rather than a little kid. Seriously, aren't you guys a bit too old to be obsessing over a cartoon so much to the point of wearing the merchandise (which is more targeted for children anyway) in public? Loooooosers!
I mean, sure Naruto is pretty cool. But not that cool. No matter how you look at it, it's still a cartoon.
And please, don't give me that "otaku" bullshit.
Hot Topic has an exclusive contract for Naruto merchandise. Do you honestly expect that the main target of all the merchandise is going to be aimed at kids? Some of it, sure.
Besides, you need to lose the stereotypical view of 'cartoons' that too many Americans hold.

Okay. I understand that some cartoons are pretty hardcore. Princess Mononoke and Akira come to mind. But we're talking about NARUTO here. It pretty much embodies the whole shonen genre, much like DBZ did. One looming and threatening bad guy, whom "NO BODY HAS DEFEATED BEFORE!!", and a main character who has to use his will power alone to defeat named bad guy. It's just mindless entertainment, really. I like it not for the story, which was done a million kajillion times, but for the great animation, fighting, and general kick assness.
Naruto isn't trying to make any statement other than the whole "boy who everyone thought couldn't do it could!" schtick.
And whoever gives me a neg rep needs to suck it up and leave their screen name. That way I can talk to him/her mano y mano.

It is a cartoon.
Anime is just another way of saying japanese cartoon, am I wrong?
Personally, I can't wait for Naruto to hit the shores, I have very high hopes for the dub. I think the people behind it know how rabid the fanbase is and are aware that the dub will be scrutinized a whole lot (no matter how good it turns out to be). And what the hell, getting all pissy if you see a kid with a forehead protector and a kunai? I think it would be pretty cute and amusing, actually... :amuse

As Collette (http://rts.lunistice.com/part3/3_19.html)would say, "d'aaaaaawww!"
And as I recall, anime is short for animation. And animation is another word for cartoon. So cartoon is an appropriate word.
Anyway, back on topic, I don't think you guys have to worry about a bunch of kids running around pretending to be Naruto. You guys complain about kids running around pretending to be Pokemon or Yu-gi-oh, but I gotta tell ya, I really haven't seen such kids. Plus, give them more credit. Most children these days know that doing something like that isn't all that "cool".
Jiminy Cricket! There's like 5 different threads with different names that are basically the same thing. "WAT DO U HAT ABOUT NARUTO LICENS LOL?"

yea, anime stands for "japan animation" thats exactly why its not the same as a cartoon.
Anyway, its pretty funny to see you guys complain when the average age around here is 14-16 years... doesnt matter where you buy the merchandise, it will look geeky, no matter of youre 8, 15... or 26.
Yea, I do wear a forehead protector to a con here and there.

So I wonder why kids running around having fun would be such a big deal?

good rant I stumbled across (http://azusa.leamonde.net/animerant.html)
Hmm, a good example of the sort of thing I'm talking about would be... try going up to the average anime fan and casually referring to sa's favorite show as a "cartoon." Nine times out of ten, you'll get to see the wheels in their head creak a little bit before the veins in their forehead start to twitch and steam starts coming out of their ears moments before they treat you to an extensive, violent rant on how anime is NOT cartoons, you stupid ugly American, it is a high form of art, unlike the half-hour toy commercials produced on this side of the Pacific, and to refer to it as a mere cartoon is to spit upon, pillage and violate all of the elite aesthetic glory that is anime.

I get great deals on my Naruto dvds on ebay. You just have to wait a week or 2.
I swear the biggest elitists out there are either into anime or pc's. Even wine elitists aren't as bad as us...
Who really cares what kids do when Naruto comes out... you don't like the dub? Don't watch it, you don't like kids wearing merchandise? Look the other way. They're talking about the current arc? Listen to music. Let them enjoy it, it's like those moronic 2k2 ravers in the bay who talked about how it's all mainstream (raves) these days... um shit head, I was partying before 2k... at home depot you shithead, you're not a big shot.
I was talking to my friend about FMA and he was saying he wanted to go post all the spoilers he knew about in the Adult Swim boards.. first off, he borrowed my fansubs and this was recently so it's not like FMA is brand new to adult swim. He was barely at the part AS is at. I was arguing with him over it and I don't understand what the big deal is.... so most kids (i use that loosely) today don't know about all the great animes out there, how most subs are better than dubs, how DBZ, Pokemon, etc are regarded with disdain with most serious viewers. If they enjoy it, let them.
How would you guys like it if you suddenly heard of this new show and started viewing (or in most of our cases, downloading it) and then some pricks who saw the fansub before you started spoiling everything... I mean most anime viewers in these forums get pissed off when a manga reader posts a spioler, it's the exact same fucking thing.
The manga reader is ahead of us, he in a way is more leet, and so is compared to us anime viewers who are ahead of the "mainstreamed toonami viewers". If we bitch about the manga kids spoiling us, how the fuck can you do the exact same thing and then feel proud you did it?
I've been into most kind of scenes before most of my peers and when they were getting into it; via animes, games, punk, raves, partying, paintballing, whatever; I didn't lord it over them that I knew more and was around before them... I helped open their mind to what else was out there.
You guys should really get past that whole mentality and grow the fuck up, really.

I have to admit. Though my dreams of Nicky: Future King of the Leaf were crushed and blown away in the wind for a decent dub...
Though my version was funnier.
I can't wait until it comes out here. At least it won't turn out like Dub Piece, which is one anime that at least deserved better than it's got so far. I mean come on cutting out entire arc's? Especially CANON one's? It'd be like if someone made a Harry Potter anime and went from the first book to the third while skipping the second and making it so that the second book never existed in the canon. That's basically what happened to One Piece. By the way the Harry Potter thing is just an example to clarify what I'm saying here.
At least that's not going to happen to Naruto though. So I'm slightly anticipating it. I figure it'll be ok can't be any worse than Megaman NT Warrior was.
Anyways yeah while anime is in fact cartoons just like we have here it's more about the story and characters and the unique art style's. That's why we differentiate it from the bland art and cliche storylines found in episodic cartoons in America. It has nothing to do with elitism. It's just that anime fans love to see deep storylines and characters they'll grow to love. Which is usually how they play out in Japan.
When brought over here though they just plain butcher it into.... well crap. It loses everything that made people LIKE it. Unless it's on Adult Swim. Heck most of the time pivotal plot points and scenes with high emotional impact get ruined because of stupid editing and merging practices, a billion REALLY stupid puns get added in, and while the dubbing company claims that it takes a lot of money to dub episodes most of that money is going towards ridiculous edits and changes as well as making a new soundtrack when they could have easily saved money by keeping the original soundtrack and keeping the ridiculous edits to a minimum.
That's what anime fans hate about dub's in America. All they expect is a decent dub or even a great dub but when the majority of dub's we get are complete trash marketed towards little kids who are probably more into Dora the Explorer you can see why people complain about it. Maybe if we actually had decent dub's on TV instead of having to wait for non-existant uncut releases we wouldn't complain so much.
Heck at least we're GETTING an uncut release with Naruto. Unlike a certain other dubbing company which promised uncut releases then immediately stopped after ONE Yugioh DVD
EDIT: Oh and about VA's I almost forgot. As people have heard many times Seiyuu's are often respected in Japan just like how Hollywood actors are here. Meanwhile it seems like the dubbing company's just pick up people off the street with no real acting talent. This is also a factor as to why most Westerner's hate dubs. The fact that the dubbing company can't be bothered to find GOOD voice work or worse the one-shot characters get better voices than the actual STAR's.
yeah, then when they figured out they picked shitty ass voice actors, they try to make it all better by selling it to funamation who has even worst voice actors,,,and then call it "SEASON 2!!"

Dude, icoselitham, used the edit button, kay? It's getting real annoying.
And I'm pretty sure the card game will be popular with people here. I personally think those card games are a waste of money. I got into Pokemon in middle school... probably spent more than 500 bucks on it. Now, I just lament the fact that I spent 500 bucks of my parents' money. ^_^
Aethos, I understand what your coming from, but you have to understand that not every show from Japan is as great as people in America assumes they are. Even Naruto isn't all that deep or revolutionary. If you compare it to other shonen manga, you'll find that it's actually fairly cliche'd and stereotypical. In addition, why didn't Kishimoto suck it up and kill off Chouji and Neji when it was highly appropriate? In fact, why is it that nobody died at all? Because he wanted to please the fans. It could have made for some awesome drama in the series, but no. He was afraid of the backlash that would come if he killed off any of his characters.
Ok, you guys can call it anime. But just don't get pissed off when I call it a cartoon. As far as I can see, the word anime doesn't really mean anything besides animation, and the word cartoon will work just fine for me thank-you-very-much.

Well, Naruto IS a cartoon. You can call it anime all you want but it's still what it is, a cartoon made in Japan. Naruto will do well here in the US, the story of naruto isn't TOO deep, but the characters are fantastic. And as long as it doesn't end up like the One Piece dub, it'll do juuust fine here with fans who've read all the manga and watched more than 100 hours of the anime ^_^

Well yeah I know not all anime's are deep and revolutionary but they're a heck of a lot more fun to watch than most of the crap they have on American TV these days. And of course most shounen series are cliched. That's why they're in the same genre. I mean would you expect two Gundam series to be different from one another?
The fact is that there are more genre's to choose from when you compare American to Japanese animation. Sure I have my own list of favorite American made shows but I prefer anime more because it's like... well an ice cream shop with over a hundred different flavor's. There's certain genre's and tastes for everyone to enjoy.
Whereas from what I've seen the majority of American cartoons try to appeal to tween's or preschoolers, have very dry humor, or just aren't really funny at all. Plus American cartoon characters really seem 2-D in their own episodic world where something goes wrong yet get's better at the end of the episode. Whereas the characters in Japanese anime grow over the entire course of the series. They just seem more realistic in that sense.
Well then again from what I hear the Japanese actually LOVE our stuff the way we love their's so maybe it just has to do with personal taste in general I don't know but I'm trying to explain it as best I can.

In my opinion, Naruto is one goddam revolutionary show.
I mean, Look at the characters, what a BUNCH of characters, and all of them are original in both personality and battle styles, I love how the show carefully never repeats (battlewise) and the Battles are Always Clever and original, I could go forever here (Shikamaru battles, Aburame placing a female bug, Kiba doing Harakiri, Sound five, Tsunade vs Kabuto was amazing, blah blah blah).
There has never been another show with so many original battles to quote, the only thing I see close would perhaps be Yuyu hakusho (Dark tournament/sensui sagas, *drool*), and Saint seya (I love the poseidon saga).
well, That is my point of view, I really dont watch Naruto for drama or such, I watch naruto because each battle is amazing, clever and original.
Talking about that, its interesting how people always pick their favorite shows & movies because of their dramatic storylines or clever plotholes, Star wars episode 5 for example.
I mean, I prefer Clone wars any day, because those battle scenes where just superb, fast and clever.

Naruto might be hated by parents just like pokemon was. i remember reading something on not buying the burgerking kids meal because of the pokemon toys. i think naruto teaches certain values, but is mostly great entertainment.
I was just thinking that. In fact, that's the first thing that came on my mind when I read the toonami preview for naruto when it first got licensed. It said something like, 'the demon gives him power.' It made it seem like a satanic show when it's nothing like that.

Naruto can't be compaired to pokemon. I don't enjoy dubs period, they edit alot of good stuff. Yuugioh, Beyblade, Sailor Moon, DB, DBZ etc etc.. all these wern't as children friendly before they came to America. I hate how they change the names.
I hate how they change some charactors. Like the first female villan in Sailor moon was actually a guy but because the American editors figured kids wouldn't understand it they changed him into a he. If they make Haku a girl and call her Stephanie of something equally as lame I'll have a fucking fit.

The elitism in this thread seriously disgusts me, and reminds me just how bad the anime community can be at times.
Think of what you're all saying here. You're all pissed off that kids will be watching Naruto and that they're going to give the Naruto fanbase a bad image? That is fucking ridiculous. Yeah kids are gonna be snobby but guess what, they're KIDS. If you were 8 years old and you just discovered some cool new thing, it's your instinct as a child to show it off. We all did this for Pokemon, Dragonball Z, Transformers, or whatever cartoon you grew up watching.

That's the worst thing I've ever read from a Naruto fan, I think it speaks for itself. I don't even need to break this down.
Memo to everyone here: You are NOT superior just because you know stuff that happens in the anime before all the US watchers do. You are NOT superior for watching the sub version rather than the dub. You have ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT to condemn anyone who follows a perfectly fine choice in their life that just so happens to disagree with yours.
Five years from now, the kids who watched Naruto growing up will be like us, downloading subbed versions of anime. They are the future of the anime community. Give them their time to grow, the last thing I would want to see is the children being turned away from Naruto because an unreceptive fanbase that thinks they're too good for people who watch the dubbed version. They're going to remember how they were shunned by the otakus before them and do the same thing to the generation below them, continuing this never ending cycle of hate towards mainstream anime on American TV.

Naruto wasnt made for people under 10. Most anime wasn't made for children. In japan, Sailor moon, Witch Hunter Robin, Inuyasha, All the DB series and Naruto were made for people over 16.
Beyblade, Yu-gi-oh, Pokemon, those were for children.

When you get down to it, what in Naruto is really so questionable that makes it only watchable for older viewers? Sure there's some blood here and there, but not a whole lot more than what kids saw during DBZ's run on Cartoon Network. There's the Sexy no Jutsu, and even then all the body parts are covered up. I can see an American parent not wanting to let their 6 year old son watch this, but in Japan, where restrictions are looser and the taboo against sex doesn't exist, I don't see how you can say it's made only for people above 16.

Now here's a crazy theory my friend and I thought of. I'm sure its been talked about a trillion times on here anyway. The people who get the Subs from the internet tell all the Dub watchers just to DL it anyway. Why waste valuable time waiting an entire week to watch an episode of Naruto, when you could simply DL the entire series? This is the year 2006. Even 7 year olds could DL it. Also, since CN will only be airing one episode a week (maybe 2 every once in a while) it will be years later when the Naruto Dub reaches the point we are at now. Unless of course the Dubs don't include all or parts of the fillers, but this will still make the process slow.
When it comes to little kids and their attention spans as well, we all know that most of them won't give a damn about the series in about 2-3 years anyway, when the Dub will reach ths point where we are at now.
See, there's a bright side to everything. :tem

Naruto was meant for teens... Kids sized t-shirts??? i dont see any O_o... well, maybe -- (in Japan i dunno what they have there) but anyways -- due to Shonen Jump ratings it was meant for kids.. my age 13+... due to the stuff they have in the show... and as the artofclay put... lots of kids watch things that they shouldn't ^^;;
i mean no offense just voicing my opinion (as everyone else in this thread)
also lots of "kids" my age ( :P) are interested in this show... though i also brought my sister into it and my cuzin, ( sister and cuzin are 9) though they arent has interested as me
naruto also has a -somewhat- "complicated" plotline for kids to figure out to.. so yea, im thinkin it was designed for 13+

My brother was saying that what if Naruto became so uber popular that it was over mechandised and "every kid in every ghetto will be like 'Naruto Aaaahh!!'" and I told him the same thing. Sure there are some younger kids that will be into it. I mean, I was into the more mature anime shows that Toonami used to air but I doubt it will gain a large, younger, fanbase. yea.... lol ive noticed that the majority of little kids who like it like it for violence not for plotline or character development... if that was the case then why even PUT a plotline there XD

Anyhoo, Toonami has always aired various anime for various ages(I know, I've watched it since Moltar was the host). They've aired anime for younger viewers like Pokemon and Hamtaro along with the dub versions of One Piece and Yu-Gi-Oh, anime for teeanagers like Big-O,Tenchi Muyo/Universe,DBZ,Zatch Bell,Yu-Yu-Hakusho, and they have shown edited versions of Blue Sub 6 and the DBZ movies for older teens.Adult Swim airs the more mature anime.

Yeah, if you are looking for a Naruto T-Shirt or something in the near future you'll know which ones are for your age and which ones are for kids.
it's not quite that simple...when i was about 12 or 13, my friends and i were some of the only people we had ever met who were into dbz. if we wanted dbz shirts or posters, we had to go to specialty stores like suncoast or something. now the only place you can find them is in the 10 and under section at walmart. I'm worried Naruto will become like this. Most americans are still under the impression that if something is animated, that automatically classifies it as "cartoon," and is therefore aimed towards younger children. these people should be forced to sit down and watch akira or somethin. I actually did research and gave a speech for my speech class outlining the factors that separate anime from cartoons. one of those factors is that the target audience varies a lot more with anime than it does with cartoons. most cartoons i've seen are easily appropriate for kids of almost any age, provided they dont' have an obsessive, overprotective parent. most anime i've seen i wouldn't recommend to anyone under 14, or at least not an average person under 14. not necessarily because of violence or language, but because of the amount of depth required to understand a lot of the situations and emotions in some anime. another problem is that a lot of times, anime is "scaled down" or "americanized" to make it more appropriate for the younger generations. if they tried to keep the translations close to the original, that would certainly fix part of the problem. certain "dirty words" are in there to express feelings that other words can't describe. they add to the personality of the characters and the situations.
wow, i'm good at rambling.
I guess to sum up my opinion, there's a certain part of me that looks forward to having more than 3 or 4 people recognize my naruto paraphernalia, but at the same time i don't want everyone to think of me the same way they think of all the little 3rd and 4th graders. i don't want any of my classmates (i'll be a senior in high school, btw) to come up to me and say "hey, my little 11 year old brother has a shirt like that." though i don't necessarily find anything wrong with younger children liking naruto, i don't want to find us more mature, more hardcore naruto fans to be outnumbered 10 to 1 by kids in elementary school who have seen maybe 5 episodes and don't really have a clue what naruto is about, and therefore can't describe it without using the word "ninja."
(so much for a summary...)

Yeah, when I was into DBZ, I still do like it, I loved the show and I liked how even though it had a large fanbase there were still some people who were older and seriously into it, but then like when it got to the Majin Buu Saga everybody knew about the show. It was like when they made the Star Wars Prequels and the Lord of the Rings movies, everybody knew about Star Wars and LOTR and then you had fans who loved the movies but could barely remember the characters' names! Hopefully Walmart won't start selling Naruto stuff;I just want Hot Topic to do that since they have all the rights to release FMA merchandise and we haven't seen that stuff in department stores yet. They should just release anime on DVD unless they plan on making a digital cable or satellite channel with unedited anime that you have to pay extra money for.

i don't really mind all the little kids running around with merchandise. this just strengthens the naruto series. I already have low expectations of the dub just so i won't be dissapointed. I am really just waiting for an english naruto video game.

this forum is going to be flooded with 10-12 year old n00bs. and they're going to want us to put a spoiler tag on everything that hasnt be aired in US already!
noooo..
we have to stop this!
Minutemen, present arms!
Ready and willing!
My life is yours to command! What would you have me do?
</end tired from work and lack of sleep pointless rant>
Well said :P

Not only that, but Cartoon Network is going to take all the fun out of the show (gore, curse words, etc.).
Wait, so you're saying you only watch the show for gore and curse words? :blink
There are PLENTY of shows that have the same thing... why don't you watch those?
I don't think so cause i think they only licensed the first like 50 episodes. I hope they don't a big chunk after that.
Thats cool as long as the fan subs continue im not really fussed about the dub i live in the uk so by the time it reaches here the series will probably be finished.

No, I don't just watch it for the violence. It's just that Cartoon Network is going to remove some parts of the show that add emotion to the whole thing. Oh well, it's not like the subs will vanish from the face of the earth.

I wanted to cosplay for Haloween at school as Haku, but then by that time they will probably have showed one episode including Haku. Now I guess I'll be going as Itachi... Then I shall spoil details... Sad though... I won't be wearing my headband for a while... And say goodbye to my naruto keychains... I shall keep Itachi though. XD I am so glad they only got 52 episodes... Still sad though...

Key chains!!
Most professional drifters keep a good luck charm hanging on their bumper. I want to put a Naruto keychain on mines.

I just keep my graduation tassel on mine...
Although a cute little Pakun keychain would be nice.

I can walk around in full Itachi gear and no one here would have a clue what show it's from since most people here, in Belgium, don't even know about Naruto and it'll probably be a few years before they release it in this little corner of the world.
Not that I do... :|

I just hope the dubs are going to be decent. Most English voice-acting in animes is horrible.

Yeah, I know what you mean... I live WAY out in the middle of nowhere, so most people (with the exception of my friends) would even know what Naruto was about.

Like I said, give kids more credit.
They know how uncool acting like cartoon characters can be.
Hell yeah!
I really don't care what kids do these days. If they want to run around in Naruto undies with thier head protectors on and yelling out some made up jutsu, more power to them. I remember back in the day when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was popular and my cousins would fight over who was who @.@
Anyway the point is, if they want to wear thier head protectors, every Saturday night at 9:00 pm in front of the T.V. with their friends, EATING ramen noodles, then let them be. No harm done....until someone spoils it for them OR they watch about 3 episodes and think they know EVERYTHING. ^-^

Yea, cause if they think they know everything, then I'm going to blow their brains out with spoilers.
Astralsky... do you read the manga??

The thought of little kids watching Naruto for the first time when the dub comes out makes me feel sort of happy. Happy in the way that the Naruto goodness will be spread to the younger generation and happy in that I can act all high and mighty with all my Ninja knowledge :cool

I'm just hoping that the editing and dubbing won't make the series so untolerable that most people won't give it a chance and then think "Naruto is the dumbest series ever" because then I'd have to round all of them up and have them watch the DVDs at my house.
I think I'm just going to buy the Japanese Naruto video game... I know it'll eventually be released in English but I would want it to have the original voices.

If I was an evil guy I would go into all their discussions and post spoilers at every single thing they say
"Hey this Hokage guy is cool"
me: "He dies!"
"Wow Neji is so uber-powerful"
me: "he gets his ass kicked by Naruto later"
Man that would be fun.....

*recommends Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3 for Gamecube :thumbs
Although GNT 4 is coming out this winter, so, technically I'd reccommend that...I don't want to even bother with the American Naruto game when it eventually comes out here. :P

DO IT!! THAT WOULD BE SO EVIL! Or you could even do fake spoilers and be like THE 3RD HOKAGE IS ACTUALLY NARUTO'S DAD or NEJI IS ACTUALLY OROCHIMARU'S MINION AND HE KILLS SASUKE.
Muahahahahaha...
dooby doo
Ah, I've been censored... damn you republicans!! Long live liberal media!!
ahh... one of the very few manga spoilers I know... wouldn't it suck to read something like that when you really like a series yet some asswipe who feels elitist decides that you're such a newbie, everything needs to be spoiled for you?
For the few who felt it is wrong to spoil the newcomers, i deeply apologize if you read this. Ah... guess I can't make any stands or free speech here =)
And to the mods, I'm just making a point. dooby doo.

A2l that is sick. the only way im gonna spoil it for someone is if im in a discusion and ill be ch8in as if im in the same place as them and speculating whats going to happen when they disagree bam the spoilers come

Well, it IS inveitable that this will happen. I mean, look at all the other English dubbed shows that have came out and look what has become of them merchandise-wise. We will definitely be seeing Naruto toys without a doubt, but even if they come out with headbands, I don't see too many young kids running around with them. I'm not so sure about Naruto in the Happy Meals or BK Meals, as usually they monitor what toys they are giving away.
Then again, BK came out with Revenge of the Sith toys and a family/child protection group got mad at them as they were giving out toys from a PG-13 movie. I guess it really depends on what is shown in the anime, and that will factor for the fast food toys. Ah, say they do endorse Naruto toys and parents pick up a Shonen Jump and see the REAL Naruto...more family activist groups anyone? If they make any toys, how about Kakashi pull-string fist that pummels right through Haku or a Come Come Paradise coloring book? Sheesh....

The show will endure either way. Just like The Simpsons.
If people actually watch a show they will see its very valid and moralistic, rather than disgusting or reprehensible. Much more so than most of the popular shit on network TV. That reality crap?

My parents dont have a problem with it my little sister runs around pretending shes Ino ^^; kinda cute really my parents really dont like sitting through it but they watched it with my little sister because she was.... dressing like Ino and calling herself Ino so yeah... they did get a little worried, but i think its kinda cute, they rather her watch Naruto then other nonsense like ed edd and eddy or rugrats, but i think here in ludington mi. there will be alot of kids dressed up as Naruto characters I know my sister is going as Ino this halloween and her friend is going as Sakura and her friends little brother is going as naruto, and being that my little sister goes everywhere with her ninja head band on i think it might catch on to alot of the younger kids interested in it....
