cool sig tutorial

hi yall this is my firt tutorial but bare with me i got inspirtation from another tut so here it is (for photoshop)

1.make a new image with the settings Size 400x100 - colour mode RGB - Ttransparent

2.time to make a backround do the following things in order
Filter > Render > Clouds

Filter > Styleize > Glowing Edges - Edge Width 10 - Edge Brightness 13 - Smoothness 5

Filter > Brushstrokes > Crosshatch - Stroke length 3 > Sharpness 19 > Strength 1

Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation - Tick colourize > Hue 0 - Saturation 69 - Lightness -6

k so FONT TIME
type w.e u want with in that font make sure it 1 line

3 go to blending options for teh font
use theese settings
check Outer Glow and use > Mode = Normal > Colour = Red > Spread - 17% > Size - 8px

check Bevel and Emboss and use > Depth = 31% > Size = 4px

4 make a dark background behind the text. Use the rectangle tool. Make sure that the color is black. Make a rectangle the width of the sig, but the height just as large as the text size also MAKE SURE opacity = 40%

5 go to the blending options of the rectangle check Stroke and use these settings 1pixel > Colour = C90000

well im playing around with PS atm, not really using your idea but using it as a guide.

how do you do borders btw? i forgot a lonf time ago.

Nice one but, the best tutourial is to show how stuff works.. Like how to add an blend effect or somthing like that.. Not how to make an complete image..every ones will look to similar if you do it that way ^^

Pretty cool. Nothing too advanced but still, pretty nice. I might adjust some of these ideas with some other stuff I'm going to do. Maybe. Just to try stuff~.

k sinse some one asked how to make a border here it is

1.open an image up in photoshop

2 click on a new blank layer and hit ctrl a to select the whole docmnet with the rectangle marque tool

3 right click when everything is selected and hit stroke
and use settings
width is how think uw ant the border to be
X Width

black Color
the color of the border



Leave the rest of the settings.

Hit OK.

thx for my next 1 i will do something along the lines of blending in an image to a backround and adding in text to make a basic sig for beginners i make make an advanced one latter i will work on this 1 tonight pz

fonts? you mean the file? well if it is you just go into the control panel and put it into the fonts folder it should automatically install then it should appear in watever program that uses fonts.

On some level I agree... when I come up with a unique style or texture-effect I don't run around showing people how to do it the same way I do... I have had many people ask for help so I just help them with getting to know Photoshop... I think teaching blending and brushing is the better way to go... therefore we arn't seeing your art in someone-else's hands...

(BTW I like the Sig just clean up the Itachi pic with an eracer... I have OCD when it comes to images in art... IT HAS TO BE CLEAN!)

Danzig, I totally agree. Art should be as clean as possible. But to newer artists, such an ideal might be hart to achieve at first.

I for one, started out with filters too. Had no idea what I was doing.

Blending and brush tutorials are good but I learned brushing on my own. Blending was a good thing to learn but Im still working at it.

Fonts can also be installed to your Windows\Fonts folder. Just another way to do it :)

yea but for someone like me who had no clue where to start i really appreciate the start and now i can generate something else original thanks to him. do not bring the negative if you don't like it, we all have to learn somehow and then improve.
