I definitely approve of this trend of showing that even with all his fancy new tricks, Negi still isn't close to the top-tiers of Negima - I was worried during his match with Rakan that Negima was becoming a DBZ-type affair, with the rest of Ala Alba becoming increasingly irrelevant.

I just hope some of the less-developed members like Kaede get a chance to show off their stuff soon...
