The reason why ratings differ every epsiode even if it's the same supervisor, because different animators work under the same supervisor sometimes. But the best animators rarely work under the weak supervisor unless it's a very important episode, example ep 405.

I've had that soda before it tasted great. Melon cream soda isn't something you can find in the states it pisses me off.

Great episode, I loved all the cameos and Filler Bark is probably the best possible choice since that arc has such memorable characters that can fit into any situation.

The basic plot is simple in that they are all making parade floats for a summer festival thing and whoever has the best float gets one wish at a giant shrine they also get a million beli or something which is why nami tagged along.

I'm almost kind of sad this is over next episode. While for sure I want to return to the main story since my favorite part is coming up, seeing more of sexy shrine maiden Robin in a kimono never hurts. I loved duval too and the stuff his guys chant when they carry him around.

Last week was an episode people cared about, so they got it out as quick as possible. It was something they really enjoyed, and we reaped the benefits of an early sub. Don't expect them to bend over backwards for Oyabun.

Hmm, it was nice I guess, but not anything special. The only Oyabun special I really liked was the first one. I really loved it back then when Buggy first appeared as well as Vivi.


They now try to squeeze all of the newer characters into it, and it isn't really working very well IMHO. The Oyabun filler is loosing its charm this way.

Despite Some Slows, The Episode Got Comedy And Decent Fun Story

After the most devastating episode, we head to the Historical Arc, where the story is not related to the real One Piece. Does this episode offers some fun?

-Good Comedy
-Nice usage of new characters
-Decent storyline

Cons
-Some slow down
-Stretching the episode for the next part

The Historical Arc is another part of One Piece, where everything is made up and characters have different role. It's not meant to take it seriously. It is more of a fun and enjoyable. That being said, this episode is a good start.

There are pretty good comedy and like the last Historical Arc, new recent characters are in it. They did a good job on it and introduces them nicely. However, it would seem they stretch out the joke and causing this episode to go slowly. Not only that, some of the joke are somewhat used up before and didn't work too well with it.

Overall, it was a nice and relaxing episode. Especially after what we experienced from last episode. Hopefully the next episode, it will be more refreshing from this episode and more fun before going to the original story.
