View Full Version : Did Naruto change anything in your life?

Ok, so I was wondering...I know many of you can find similar personalities within few Naruto characters, but I wondered, can characters change those personalities?

For example (what Naruto changed in my life):
- I started believing that I can do what I want
- I started being a fighter, before, I'd just say "Who cares?" if I got stuck in the problems, but now I say that I won't give up until I solve them and I do what I say
- I spent my life thinking and Naruto changed it, I started using acts, not thoughts :)
-I sometimes just wouldn't give up on anything, not even on the smallest thing

Many more...
Basically, Naruto Uzumaki changed it most (in a better way), but there are other characters, too.

So was your life changed somehow?

P.S. I meant Naruto manga/anime, not Naruto like Naruto Uzumaki, even tho it can be a case...
P.P.S. Sorry if there was a similar thread like this one before, cause I didn't find any (I didn't even try to search :sweatdrop) and sorry if this is posted in a wrong place...

Naruto influenced my life heavily.

He made me fall in love with my supposed-to-be 'brother' and rival, who has serious self-esteem issues, is broody, anti-social and emo and ditched me for power and a perverted man who's about 40 years older than me. :hurr

And even now I am still fighting to get him back.
I'll never give up! :iria

LOL, kidding.

It did in the sense that it got me into this forum, which changed my life quite a lot.

just not giving up, this was strongly reinforced by taking Muai Thai which the philosophies are basically identical to Naruto's, whenever i'm tired and don't feel like doing anything it's just like "you know what?! i never give up!!" it's really great

I think about the aspects of it, such as the importance of bonds and willingness to fight for the things that mean most to you- but I don't follow through and feel any of these things, even if I wish I could.

Pretty much this :byastars

Naruto itself didn't change my life, but I can honestly say that NF and some of the people here have definitely changed my life and I won't be able to forget a lot of memories/friends I've made here. So whether it's for good or not, Naruto did inadvertently change my life. :awesome

Naruto made me addict on the on animes hahaha :D It also taught me that friends are the one that you can't let go these friends help you when you need them and they can help you with all your problem. This anime also taught me to control myself you should plan before you do such things think of the consequences that might be the effect of what you have done because once you do it you can't take it back.

I was starting to go insane from bordem, and I would basically start twitching a lot.

Because I had been on Deviantart snce I was 11, and hadn't really gone to any other site, I thought Naruto was this shit anime that only 12 year old girls liked, because thats what the other users said.
On DA there would be two sides: those who didn't like naruto, and those who liked it (this was around 2005/06) and people would complain and try and get the admins to forbid people from drawing naruto fanart, because they would get about 100,000 pageviews and stuff.

I was then bored one day and found out theres a part 2 of the naruto manga, (before I was skeptic about these twelve year old kids having superpowers) and they were about 15/16, which in manga, my favourite characters were usually older.

Bascially, it steered me away from being an idiot online (I was in the DA version of /b/)
And it also gave me someting to look forward too each Tuesday (spoilers come out), Thursday and Friday.
It made me a lot happier though -
Although now people have started liking the show too, that I know, and for some reason I feel really angry when I hear them nattering on about it. Maybe because they didn't take the show as serious as I did (if I hear one more 'believe it' joke I am going to snap)

If I wasnt into naruto, I would... I dunno :awesome being a hacker or something.
oh no im rambling. Sorry!

Uhm... because of naruto series I had to buy a new internet connection... for downloading ^^ *haha* But I would have done that anyways sooner or later I guess...

Hm... and yeah... today I failed a test at school, because yesterday watchin' the kizuna movie seemed more important than studying... -_-"

But generally I'm not the type who's life get's influenced by some special comics/TVseries...
Animes generally changed my life, because it became a new passion of mine, and it is a part of my life since many years now.... but that's got nothing to do with naruto...

I found a lot inspiration from Naruto but also from Hinata, because I was (but still to some degree) a very shy person with many insecurities and very low confidence. But after seeing the Neji v. Hinata fight and seeing how she decided to still keep on fighting even though she seriously hurt and close to dying...it inspired me to change and have more confidence in myself. :cry

Yes, in a negative way in one case, but I can't talk about that here, it's personal.

In a way it changed my life when Hidan came into the picture, because Hidan has helped me understand what God's love for us must be like. I love him unconditionally and I like to think that's how God feels about people.

No, nothing.
This is just a manga, a really good one, but just a manga. You've got to realize it's just a fictional story of characters who never existed.
It's okay to cry of be happy about a story, but that's about it.

I admit it did have a large influence on my life. Not characters in particular but other means.

I was able to relate to both Sasuke and Naruto although I find Naruto as a kid annoying and corny but I am beginning to like him now. This is mainly because no one has ever killed my family but a good portion of them was ripped away from me by certain circumstances ie Divorce , Jail , Drugs , and Feuding Families. This was mainly due to my father who does love me but has committed so many crimes I just dont want to see him. I was made fun of a lot in school as a little kid at age 4-9 and had basically zero friends(that did not beat me up anyway).

Naruto has not shown me but rather reminded me how important bonds are and how far I am willing to go for someone even if they don't return the favor as often. The first friend(bond) I ever made was in 4th grade at the age of 10 in September 2000. He is to this day my closest friend(beyond best friend level) In a way he is like Naruto(NOT GAY in anyway fangirls!!!!!! We are both straight and peverted over the naruto girls.)to me. We fight , ALOT , but at the same time can finish each others sentences. So Naruto(show/manga) reminds me alot about this.

Other things would include me being more observant and calculative in my life.

And yes like everyone else here I am addicted to NF. I post at least twice a day lol.

To Bullitt: If you think everyone is a fag if they believe Naruto has changed their life in any way, then why have you posted over 1,000 times on NF, and have been a member for a year and a half? leave the negative stuff somewhere else, nobody posted on this thread dissing everyone on the thread. only post if Naruto has changed you life in any way, other than that, live and let live.

not really, though i think it's changed my drawing style a bit and i appreciate the less pretty styles more now, at first i could barely read it since i thought the art was too ugly. i think NF has plenty of interesting theories and analyses that i didn't notice before in the manga, so it's made me appreciate how much thought and attention to detail kishi has put into a manga for 12 year olds. i've also realized how strangely obsessive some people can be over fictional pairings or characters :amuse

i was actually so inspired by naruto uzumaki. the things he went through but no matter what, he was always looking ahead to better things, and always found a way to fix his problems, never giving up. I really admire him for that, cuz he changed my view on alot of things.

once i thought that things around me were bad and now, i think it could be much worse, and i f i have a goal, i'll achieve it in any way i can X3 and sometimes (and im not even kidding) when i get tired, or i dont feel like finishing something (like say, a race, or my exercises in martial arts class) i think about how naruto never gave up, and it got him somewhere and made him better, so when i think of that, i dont quit either :amuse

i know he's just a fictional character, but he can really get to people with what he says and does. His determination rubs off on us XD

Oh, most definitely.

Well, actually, I think perhaps "Naruto has inspired me" would be a better way of phrasing it. Nothing's changed so much, but certain episodes and characters really helped me through some things, and reaffirmed my beliefs. You can argue that it's silly to put so much stall on an anime, but whatever :P

In particular, Rock Lee reminded me to work hard, and keep working hard at the things I love, even if it seems like it's not paying off. And Hinata...reminded me that strength is not when you're unafraid; real strength is when it scares the crap out of you but you do it anyway.

I could rattle off a thousand more things, but I'm trying to curb my tl;dr so I'll leave it at that :amuse

I never thought that it's silly to be changed by an anime. Anime is a work of a human and it carries many important life morals.
Well, it's somewhat similar to be changed by another person's believes and acts.
It's not silly, it's brave. I think it's brave to let something change you and actually accept it.

Probably made me happier

Didn't gain me anything extra curricular or productive though,

Maybe not,
Maybe it encouraged me to take up Japanese more,

I'm not ashamed to say it did :hmpf I cherish my friends more, try not to ever give up and led me to this awesome forum which thus led me to have a more open mind about things. and it also burned a serious hole in my wallet.

He tought me that the original is always better. That americans will take something suck out all the culture or goodness and put it on tv to make money. Plus naruto made me a computer nerd.
