Cheerleading coach fired for posing nude

Carlie Christine, a Sacramento, California cheerleading coach was sacked from her job recently. Reason being that her nude pictures surfaced on the Playboy website.

Casa Robles High School reportedly discovered the pictures featuring the coach after the parents of some girls who didn't make it to the cheerleading squad brought them to the principal, CBS 13, a news channel reported.

The school then fired Christine midst backlash from parents, the station reported.

Christine, apparently used her real name, or the same name she teaches under, while posing for Playboy, which guaranteed that the entire football team would eventually stumble upon her pictures, which it did.

But the news isn't all bad for the former coach. Christine is reportedly Playboy's 'cyber girl of the week.'

Right, like most teachers get paid that much to begin with, nevermind if she is just a cheerleading coach. Why would you want to take away someone's job and a contributor to their financial security in an economy like this ? What if she was actually good at her job ? Sure, maybe she'll just start posing nude or whatever, but that's obviously not what they were thinking. It's just a really petty reason to take something so important away from someone.

Our culture teaches children that gun violence is normal or admirable, and pushes Prozac and Ritalin on them, but is terrified to death that a person who is honest about the fact she has tits might be a positive influence in their lives.

So, some parents who were pissed that their kids were rejected from the squad got her fired for this. It's not even like they were legitimately offended; it was just an act of retribution.

But her real name? Really? That's just guaranteeing that anyone who googles her will find the pictures. She really couldn't have come up with a fake name like Titas Grandes or something?

I think they have to fire these people to prevent being accused of endorsing such things.

In all honesty, a person can legally be fired for as little as posting in their blog. Like this woman, here:

but why were the parents going around looking for incriminating stuffs about the coach? if anything, it'd be more likely the rejected girls that would've dun' it :hurr

so, the parents went around looking for nude pics of this woman, found them, showed them to the principle, and got her fired

Beats me. Maybe their parents read Playboy for its great content and editorial materials?

Or, maybe the power of fap > fairplay?

In either case, if the school had not fired her they could potentially have been sued big money. One would think, they must resort to firing if only to protect themselves from the zombie masses of lawyers with nothing to do on any given rainy day.

My guess is that all the kids in the school already knew that she was in Playboy. When the rejected girls got butthurt they told their parents.

I mean, all it takes is one kid looking in the magazine or doing a Google search and the whole school will hear about it in a matter of days.

AFAIK...

In some cases--depending on where they worked, etc, they could get away with it.

Schools are different. In a sense it would be like having a convicted sex offender in a teaching position. Schools depend on maintaining a neutral position in terms of what they endorse and such to protect themselves from accusations of negatively influencing students or catering to the views of any one group.

And so, its possible they can't afford to allow this type of thing.

I think you're right if she had been working at a place with a strong union or something similar, because those types of jobs are almost impossible to be fired from, sometimes. But, it being a school, I think they maintain a position where they reserve the right to terminate someone's employment for any reason imaginable.

And so, there really is no lawful precedent for someone to file a lawsuit against them.

This type of thing is common. I actually know someone who was fired for a reason that was stupid who took their employer to court, and lost... It sucks, but what can you do really considering the employer makes the terms and they are non negotiable?

No, the kids knew about it but they never brought it up with their parents. Kids generally don't share school rumors with their parents.

Hell, maybe some teachers knew about it, too but they were OK with it as long as it didn't gain public attention.

I'm sure some of the parents had seen her spread (teehee) in Playboy but they probably didn't know that chick was the cheerleading coach.

I don't really think posing in Playboy is a big deal. It's not something I would ever consider even if I was super attractive. However, I don't really see it as that bad. They're probably pretty tasteful nudes since I think most stuff in Playboy is not over the top.

I mean you can even still be a virgin after posing in Playboy. It's just the naked human figure. I mean hell, we draw naked people in my art class.

Hmm, I don't get the big deal. She didn't go to the squad and tell all of them to check out her in the new issue of Playboy. It was totally discreet and only way people knew was the people looking at Playboy and recognized her.
I also like the fact that it was the parents of girls, who DIDN'T make the squad, that snitched. Can you say butthurt?

I don't see what the problem is with the cheerleading coach. What she did doesn't affect her job and it doesn't affect her ability to do her job. Also those pics on the playboy website can only be accesed by people who are 18 and older. Meaning none of the students should have been able to get to them. Meaning that none of the students should ever find out about such things.

Basically. Why are the kids looking up porn on their former teacher? Why are kids under the age of 18 getting onto the playboy website?
