Well, we're at the penultimate episode. Next week will be the end. Just to recap.

- Ribbons is now bonded with Veda and can transfer his consciousness between bodies.

- Ali shot and killed Regene.

- Billy created Trans-Am kamikaze suits that are pretty pathetic.

- Patrick went boom. :uwah

- Lockon starts fighting against Ali.

Was an ok episode, but overall I didn't think that much of it. I'm a bit tired of the 00 suit, even though that new ridiculous trans am was pretty cool. Seraphim was pretty cool aswell.

Lockon 2 vs Ali really sucked compared to the epicness of Lockon 1 vs Ali. Ali and Graham(same goes for the majority of the cast) seemed so pointless in the second season. Still was an alright episode.

I'm really gonna miss this series, but i wish they could have done more. I bet if the series was longer, they could have made it so much better.

Interesting episode. The part where 00 Raiser goes Trans-Am Burst mode reminded me of the scene in Char's Counterattack when Amuro & Nu Gundam single handledly move the asteroid. I was hoping Ribbons would get a GN Nu Gundam for the boss fight between him and Setsuna and not a Guntank. I kinda liked the Ali vs. Lockon 2 fight, but I wished they would stop cutting away from it. If they should the full fight it would have been awesome. Man, I was hoping Allelujah would do more this episode. But fuck dude, they seriously wasted him the entire season so far.

Just watched the raw version, so I might not of understood anything but, that was an awesome episode, it was very touching. Now one last thing, kill Ribbons and i want Sestuna with Feldt!

Wow episode had action, but really lame way to start to end it. Let's not finally give this series pilots a chance to prove themselves in battle.

Let's shutdown their power source. The pilots don't have the skills to defeat their rivals.

2 of these series most interesting characters Graham, and Ali got no justice down the stretch of this series.

Glad this series is coming to a end. Gundam needs a real reboot. Something different needs to happen. I been having this emptied feeling with the past 2 shows. Hope the next director goes some where different with Gundam.

Ali gets what deserves, Setsuna reminds Ribbons that he's just a bitch, Louise will finally shut up more, Andrei is currently crying like a little bitch at how much of a douche he is, and I'm further made happy with the knowledge that I'm still watching an actually good Gundam series...

Setsuna also showed why I've always loved him as a main character, I prefered when he wasn't special, but I guess the GN particles effected him in such a way.

Yea, Tieria's with Veda now so its not like he died or anything when Seraphim got blown up. I think the others were just shocked because they assumed that Tieria was in Seraphim since it just got up on its own.

Like 'Invaders', which was the concept of the Aeolia plan entirely. Aeolia was convinced that Humanity would be taking their petty conflicts out into space, and thus started the Innovedo forces to become that force that would make Humanity realize they are not alone after Celestial Being essentially unites the world. Of course, the major flaw is that the Innovedos were corrupted into Innovators by Ribbons, and a fair deal of the plan was corrupted entirely by Ribbons' bullcrap. And no, Aeolia wasn't planning to have Mankind fight aliens - he wanted them to meet them peacefully. It's blatantly explained in the episode.
The fact that most, if not all, of the plan was described to us makes 00 as a whole far better than shows that don't bother to explain their major plot points (Seed, Destiny, Code Geass...).

In fact, this episode was rather good overall compared to... say... Destiny 49. Why?

1) This episode carried through with the theme that 00's second season, that Humanity simply needs to understand one another in order to bring out peace. This has been a theme of Gundam since the original series and echoed throughout the Universal Century and even through G-Gundam and Gundam X, to say nothing of Turn-A Gundam. The only difference is that, rather than super-magical-Newtype-brain-HAX, we get a technological answer powered by Setsuna's desire to stop the fighting. It's also a wasted chance in that Marina's song could have been used perfectly here to echo throughout the minds of Humanity to unite them in one moment... but I guess they didn't think that far ahead when planning the show (however, the show's far better planned than Seed or Destiny, as 00 has only had one single clip episode that still gave us new information).

2) Ali finally died. Sure, he was somewhat entertaining as a villain, but there was absolutely nothing to him aside from "I kill things for laughs" and "I like killing things." Even Yazan had character development beyond the initial "I'm a Titan and I kill things" that Zeta gave him. When a franchise builds itself upon relatively complex characters who aren't stereotypical villains, guys like Ali really don't have a place anymore... no matter how entertaining they are. Further, I think his death was actually fitting... albeit it would have been better at the hands of Tieria or Setsuna. Either way, Ali dying outside of his suit with a bullet to the head with a wild grin on his face is rather fitting - he's a wild dog, and deserves to be put down like one.
And it doesn't hurt that it gave Lockon-II the development he needed to finish off his story arc for the season, either.

3) We got an awesome 'White-Base-Fighting-At-A-Baua-Qu' moment before Setsuna activated the Trans-Am Burst. We see everyone risking their lives as they fight off their respective enemies, slowly being dwindled down - complete with Setsuna playing Amuro's role of seeing them all nearing death in their own ways. It was a great nod back to the original series without being horribly, horribly blatant. Such as the 0-Gundam being painted like the RX-78-2.
Also, the power indicator of the 0-Gundam was another nice nod back to the original series, as that was the same power indicator on the RX-78-2 back in the original series... though it was for the beam rifle and not the unit.

4) Billy isn't such a jackass, he just wants a hug. Which can be said of a lot of humanity these days, and it was rather a nice scene. Hell, we even got to see his motivation for what he did, even if it wasn't a fantastic reason.

5) Saji and Louise's storyline was resolved in a way that isn't horribly depressing. Admittedly, it was assisted with the 00-HAX, but if this was back in Zeta Gundam, it would have been solved with Newtype-HAX. So don't complain.

6) The Seraphim Gundam had a point once again. Thank fucking god. Shame it was taken out so soon, but ah well.

But yes, Ribbons basically fucked that all up by having his own ideas.

Ribbons was an innovade that didn't care for the plan and decided he would give humanity the power to destroy CB and then he would take over humanity and turn them all into innovades with he being the sole innovator and ruler.

I think Ali's death was alright. His main motive was connected to Setsuna and his struggle not to kill anybody (damn filler children and Marina :notrust). It was suitable for Lyle to end his life and exact revenge for his family.

As for Setsuna I liked how the 00 actually managed to do something really epic and influenced the battle on a global as opposed to I-pwn-two-MSs-so-you-can-be-saved scale. This at least gave some credit to the statement that 00 will change the world.

I hope we get a nice ending where Setsuna destroys Ribbons. But what I am more interested about, which may sound peculiar is Aeolia's plan. I think that is the first Gundam I've seen where the story matters more to me than the actual fights.

And what is this news about a movie. I haven't seen anything like that. Could someone provide a link.

I bet Ribbons' Gundam will have all the tech of the previous Innovator suites like bending beams and electric coil things(Regnant), beam claws(Garazzo), solid GN sword(Gaddesu and Arche) then Fangs and Trans-Am. And since it has more GN drives, it could probably use Trans-Am more than once in succession.
