So, it seems Lyle and Anew’s relationship was the result of sponsor pressure… I can’t help but feel disappointed. Mizushima and Kuroda, according to what the spoiler guys said, had initially planned on a ███ battle [between them]. Even if the audience didn’t like it, the scenario wouldn’t have changed, but they’re weak against the sponsors. It’s a weakness of the industry as a whole though, right?

Vandread was garbage. Dragonaut had potentional, but it didn't play to it's strengths as much as it should have.

I loved Strike Witches, but I can't provide good enough justification for all the criticism it has had heaped upon it.

Criticism only goes as far as the crotch shots and that was actually a minor point in the series. It might be a little silly that all the young women on the planet apparently do not wear pants or even skirts really, but there's a logical explanation for that. Regardless, once you get past the bare leggedness, you have a good cast of characters inspired by some of the most epic military heroes in history from the world over.

Personally, I like to think of the girls as being their grand children, rather than a geninue case of gender bending. Maybe that's disrepectful, maybe not, but that's what I tell myself when watch it and learn facts about the WWII fighter aces.

And most of all, there aren't any lesbians. A show with a huge female cast and none of them are flaming homosexuals. That right there is enough to make me happy.
