R.I.P Sergei "Papa Bear" Smirnov, badass pilot, noble man and awesome father figure to Soma Peries. Veteran pilot of the HRL, he was known as the Wild Bear of Russia for his skills. Struck down by his son, he rests peacefully, hopefully with his departed wife.

To be fair, Setsuna is a pretty stoic guy who even now doesn't show a great range of emotions so I can see how he'd give off that impression.

No, but if anyone is going to be complaining about Andrei, or any other character, killing his father/parent, we've got a major incident right at the start of this series of Setsuna murdering his family. So if you're going to be complaining about patricide and apply it to Andrei, there's another character that did the same thing that no one mentions. Hell, they probably even sympathise with the character because that evil man Ali compelled him to do it in the name of God!
And as we all know, believeing in God is stupid and childish and allows you to be manipulated by people.

Setsuna was a minor, Andrei is well past eighteen. Setsuna wouldn't be held legally responsible for what he did at that age.

I got sad. I felt (and plenty other people I'm sure) that Sergei was gonna die, but the way it happened I wasn't expecting. The A-LAWS are full of haters and people who misunderstand.
