My friend recently got a Acer H213H monitor. When he plays LittleBigPlanet on it and moves right, the screen scrolls and it gets blurry to the point where he can hardly focus...does anyone know what the problem could be? He plays other games like MGS4 and Valkyria Chronicles fine with no problem. So it is more like a LBP problem.
Here is the monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009157&Tpk=Acer%20H213Hbmid%2021.5
Sorry that I don't have any screenshots or videos of the problem.

That's... really weird, have you checked if the disc is clean ? Though I doubt that is the problem. My friend has the same TV and LBP works fine on it.

Yes, he has checked the discs. He keeps all his blu-ray discs clean. Could it be a defected copy of LBP? Or something wrong with the monitor?

I really don't dare to say, besides that if it's a problem with the TV you should get the same trouble playing another PS3 game, but if it is only when playing LBP my guess would be on a defected copy.

Possibly, but just to make sure we are on the same page, your friend has the exact same monitor as the link that I posted? Because it's a monitor not a TV. I'm not sure how much of a difference there could be with a TV and monitor in terms of blurring or graphical problems for the PS3.

It's one of those monitors you can use for TV and PC right ? In that case yeah it's the same model, it looks the same at least.

No, it's just a monitor. It should have "H213H" etched on the top right of the monitor if it's the same thing.

..Maybe it's the games use of motion blur?

Yes, I thought that myself too. However, my game doesn't get terribly blurry on my HDTV. If you were to look on my friend's monitor while playing LBP, it looks too blurry to even focus on the game and it does not look right at all.

I am not in a place where I can look up the resolution for LBP compared to the other games. But, could it be a scaling issue? If it is a 720p game that may cause issues with speed scrolling and what not if the signal is being scaled to the 1080 resolution that is native to the monitor you posted.
EDIT:
Also look at the horizontal versus vertical refresh rates, try maxing them out to see if your problem goes away.

Would you know of a way to change those settings? A program or something?

Never experienced any blur problems with my TV.
It's probably something to do with LBP if he doesn't experience it with any other game.

If that was the case (referring to scaling issue), while he is playing LBP, if he goes in the monitor menu and then info, it says its playing it at 1280 by 720 which is 720P. If it was a scaling issue, wouldn't it say it was running at 1920 by 1080?
