Anyone else get a look at this new series? So far one eps is out but it really made an impression on me, its a little different than most stuff out now and has a pretty good soundtrack so far.
Whats everyone else think of it? here's a link to the synopsis and torrent.

Okay, i like the story, I like the music, i like the overall style of the show. I find it very origional and fresh to the anime world
What i don't like is the use of English. If they can't do it right, they shouldn't use it alt all. It's hard to explain, you sorta hear the english, but it sounds literally like a bunch of retards. To top it off, they curse a lot in english... So so far the anime has portraid americans as retarded monkeys who curse like sailors. There was even a black guy and the only thing he said was "what the fuck!?" I was like... wow, that makes black people look really great. Not many blacks in anime and when they do have one hes gotta be a moron.
Aside from that huuuuuge gripe that will turn most people away, beck is an interesting story so far.

Yeah the English dialog was wierd at times, I think some or all of them were drunk. Its definitely not the worst English speaking parts ive heard though.
I really liked it. I hope to see more of it. When everybody started to curse in English, I started laughing my ass off. It sounded so funny. Anyways, I hope Beck has some really cool music. It had better, seeing it is an anime about a rock band... At least, I think it is... X_X
I like ti especially cause its sumthin a bit different. The reason y i downloaded it was cause i jus got an electric guitar but im to lazy to elarn how to play, so hopefully this anime will giv me sum inspiration

... Maybe it's because, I don't know, they're Japanese? The Japanese language and the English language are polar opposites. If you speak Japanese, it's a lot harder to speak English. If you speak English, it's a lot harder to speak Japanese.
To top it off, they curse a lot in english...
OH MY GOD! NO WAY! ALERT THE PRESS! SOMEONE'S CURSING!
So so far the anime has portraid americans as retarded monkeys who curse like sailors.
So, because the anime has a lot of cursing, like a lot of the mature ones do in Japan, it's because they're intentionally attempting to portray as idiots? Oh! But you don't stop there! Because they're not native English speaking people, they're RETARDED! So, well, they're naturally portraying Americans to be retarded sailors! I sure am glad they've got Sherlock Holmes on the case!
There was even a black guy and the only thing he said was "what the fuck!?" I was like... wow, that makes black people look really great. Not many blacks in anime and when they do have one hes gotta be a moron.
Holy shit, now you're going on an anti-racism tirade. You're good - you get to the truth of the matter (that is, Japan's secret hate for America), but you also have time to figure out that the Japanese are all racist towards black men! WOW! Do you secretly work for the CIA? YOU SHOULD!
Give me a break. You throwing around the word "retard" every five minutes like it's going out of style, is more offensive than there being a black man portrayed as an idiot. Have you ever seen a movie in Holywood? How about recently, such as Resident Evil 2? The black character in that movie did nothing but spout out ridiculous "BLING BLING HOMIES" crap that has been stereotyping black men since rap became a mainstream genre of music in the early 90s. What this anime is doing, is absolutely nothing in comparison to some of the movies being made on the soil in the "Good Ol' US of A." But I guess America's allowed to make a complete mockery of the race in every movie, whereas Japan can't happen to have a stupid character whose skin is black.
Geez, you're an idiot.

Beck? hmm, I guess its not what im thinking about... Beck is also a couple of movies about a police solving murders. The swedes know what im talking about.

It's also a music band. I figured the anime would be based off of them initially, with such crap as the t.a.T.u. crap coming out. Or already out. Whatever it is.
But it's just about music in general, though I've got no motivation to check it out whatsoever.

wow, what the hell? Why do you care so much? Sorry but whether you like it or not, i was just stating what i saw. I like the anime, i think it's cool. You're the one here that's stating the obvious. aside from the first comment you made about the voices in general, every single one following that was pointless, stupid, and obvious. Again, what the hell, are you my mother? There was no other way to describe the voices in my opinion. Haha, maybe i should just use synonyms for the world retard, because i care SO much about what some ass nitpicks about my post. Really guy, my problems with the show were the voices alone and how they used them. Everything you talked about (after the first comment) wasn't even what i was concerned with. You might as well have been talking to somoene else.
You spent WAY too much time writing something so trivial.
About the first comment , because it seems that is the only one worth answering: I know that it's harder to speak english as a japanese person, that's why i said they shouldnt have used it at all. Can't you read?
Obviously, in resident evil 2, the black guy was meant to be comedic relief... in Beck? nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

After I found out about Bleach, I checked it out and quickly realized how awesome it was. Finally, a new anime that I can enjoy as much as Naruto. After realizing that there were other good animes out there I started downloading random series. I ended up finding a few amazing series.
The first one I found was Monster. It is about a brain surgeon that saves the devil incarnate as a child and then tries to stop him later in life. This one is awesome, I highly recomend it.
The next one I found was Beck. It is about a group of highschoolers who try to put a band together. It is only on the 6th episode so the story has just begun. If you like underground music, you should like this anime. I just wish there was a web site dedicated to it so that I could see when the next sub will come out.
The last one I found was Gankutsuou. This anime is beautiful. It has such an amazing look to it. The story is loosely based off of the count of monte christo and set in the distant future. This anime takes some getting used to, but I promise by the 4th one you will be wanting more.
But there is a big problem with Gankutsuou, the studio that makes it is starting to threaten the subbers in America. I do not understand this. If it wasn't for the subbers I never would have found the anime. Up until I heard about the legal action that was threatened, I was anxiously awaiting the Japanese release of the series' DVD.
That's what I do, watch subs, then buy the DVD's straight from Japan (if they have a sub feature.)
Please try these animes. And if you like Gankutsuou, please post here so that we can start some sort of petition to the studio.
Thanks for reading this long post.

I agree, all 3 are great... considering the amount of average/bad anime out there.

Monster reminds me of an old american TV series called "Hunted" (I believe?) they made a movie of it as well... That to is concerning a surgeon who is framed for a murder he did not commit and is trying to get the real killer while avoiding capture...

I believe it was called "The Fugitive"
Even tho there are similarities between those 2, Monster is way way way darker than the american novel. "The Fugitive" is about a single murder case, whereas Monster treats about such taboo themes as Nazism. It was a brilliant story tho.

Just go to anime-kraze site they got it there.
For Beck Ive read the manga and its awsome its better than the anime but the anime is good too becuase now you can acually here what they are playing and how it sounds.
Im a big fan of The Count Of Monte Cristo and love gankustuou,I like what Gonzo did with the animation.
For Monster,I havent seen it yet i might check it out if I have time.

I enjoy Beck a lot. Its probably one of my favorites right now.
I've gave all of them a try when they were first subbed with the exception of Monster. Right now i'm only on Episode 3 of Monster, only saw 1 Episode of Gankutsuou but might give it another try, Beck well I saw a few episodes then read 19 volumes of the manga in 2 days... Bleach well the best of the bunch IMO i've been up to date with the manga for a few months and I just watched episode 9 and 10. They're all good but Monster is quite overrated... but it is very good. The only one I need to give another try is Gankutsuou, I didn't hate the 1st episode but just wondered how things will develop seeing as how I never read Count of Monte Crisco which I was planning to read a while back but I saw parts of the movie.

Funniest part of the anime/ manga for me would be... Erm... I dunno. @__@ So many funny things.
Something that comes to mind was when Chiba barfs on Take-chan's face, and then Take-chan barfs on Chiba's face. Hillarious.
Or maybe... when there was that girl and she was like, "Who's more important to you? Me or that boy????? *crying*" Ray: "Koyuki. Now go away." (or something)
:rofl

And as for A-E's subs. I think they have stopped subbing it. I haven't seen a sub for ep19 yet, and Shinsen is on ep23. And I think Shinsen have very high quality subs.
Right now I'm just looking for a place to get the manga from. If anyone knows a place where to get it, please don't hesitate to send me a PM. :P

I was downloading Naruto and Bleach. I wasn't quite done with bleach, but I ran out of bandwidth. So, what do I do. Of course, I purchased more bandwidth. I finished up through the current Bleach and had a ton of bandwidth left. I thought to myself, "I wonder what this "Beck" is?". I downloaded the first episode. BIG MISTAKE, for sleep that is. I was stuck downloading and watching until 4am through ep 16. I fell asleep in the middle of it (just too tired). It hooked me big time. I finished through ep 20 the next day. I hope NarutoFan gets the rest for download. I am left needing. I want more. LOL

there is no telling how long it will take nf to catch up, they are three episodes behind already, so unless you are opposed to using bittorrent for some reason (like if you have dialup, lol, I did until a couple of weeks ago so I understand) 21-23 of beck can be found at http://bt.shinsen-subs.org/ and a new episode is out every saturday. you can just go there on saturday and get the new ep every week :thumbs Since they are the ones that sub it, you won't have to wait for another site to post the info. I do that for naruto, bleach, beck, lol. Straight to the source; dattebayo, chihiro, and shinsen :thumbs I hang out at their sites for a good 4 days out of the week and hit f5 every 3 minutes or so, lol.

I feel ya TKE. The only reason I joined the Narutofan Premium thing was to get like 3 episodes of Naruto that I didnt have. Yesterday I decided to check out what all came with the premium and found Beck. Didnt sound too interesting but I was bored. Watched 2 episodes yesterday morning and was thinking this could be ok. Last night I couldnt sleep so I decided to watch more.. *sigh* no sleep for me. Started late last night at episode 3, as of this morning @ 7:30am I finally went to bed after watching up to episode 14. And in the past few hours, since my GF used my car to go to work, I had nothin else to do so now im up to episode 20, and currently downloading 21-23 via bittorrent.
If that doesnt explain it well enough, lemme just say this is an excellent anime. The music is great, the characters are cool, and I have to say one of my favorite parts of the anime is the love aspect. The love triangle between Koyuki, Izumi, and Moha. It's played out nicely.
Oh yeah, just downloaded the OST as well.. that goes on my Ipod tonight, lol. Only problem is I dont see the Intro song listed and I really like it. Anyone have a link to download it?

PenaltyLife,
When you say SO far ahead, are you talking about you reading the manga? If so how far ahead is it (i.e. approx # of episodes)?
One of the things I was worried about was that it would end unfinished at 26 episodes (Like the darned Irresponsible Captain Tylor <great series but ending like "Oooh here comes more story.... NOTHING>).

so who liked it ???
i didnt, they had a really great story and the rushed the ending, this series totally deserved a second season, atleast , seeing as the manga wont end anytime soon, we didnt even see ryuusuke play with the band in ther last live in america, worst ending posible.

Yeah, I liked it, but it wasn't anything great. I also felt that they rushed the hell out of the last episode, and they left a lot of things to speculation. I actually feel that episode 25 would have been a better ending because it was much more heart felt and tear jerking.
The first half of 26 was awesome, however.

Gh3y. That's all I'm going to say. I hated it. So sad that they ended such a great anime just like that. Oh well, I still have the manga wich is alot better so I don't really care that much. But I was kinda sad, eventhough the ending wasn't that bad. It summarised the manga chapters quite well in my opinion.

Well, Since there isn't enough chapters, they probably lost a lot of money and ratings so they had to end it. I was thinking that the manga was far ahead but just think about all of the soundtracks they had to have produced and money they had to spend for that.
It was a sad ending but it was along the same lines as Trigun's Ending. The anime will enter my list of favorites but I do hold out for a sequel for when the manga gets back up there in chapters for them to do so. Well, I can dream, can't I?

I felt it was rushed, but it still wasn't too bad for the first half. It was good seeing the band back together and all. And then having them play Slip out at the end which just owns.
Although it would have been good to end it with them leaving, so a second season would commence. :(

Ok, I just watched all 26 episodes of Beck. I was so skeptical about this anime and refused to watch it for a long time because it just didn't look like something I would enjoy, but it rocked! There is a chance for a second season but if there is, it will not be released for another year. I think the manga is biweekly(?) so it takes a while for material to come out to make a season of anime.

I'm not sure if the manga is bi-weekly but each chapter is pretty much an episode... really long chapters. And the manga is already far ahead to make another season.
Mindless
04-19-2005, 02:26 PM
There isn't. So far. I mean, it ended a few weeks ago, you can't expect to hear about a continuation of it after a few weeks. And as Code said, the manga is far ahead so they could probably make a second season on 26 episodes. And the manga is still going on, so this is a quite long manga. Currently it's on chapter 63, and each chapter is like 60 pages, so it's almost 3 normal chapters (Naruto, Bleach, w/e...) in each chapter. So you could basically say that the manga is on chapter 189, if you would make the manga into 20-page chapters.
And making that into an anime would cost money. But I think it's strange, since they had lots of big music companies as sponsors, and they get great promotions trough this kind of stuff. But I guess the anime wasn't as popular as they expected, but people still loved it. Apart from the end of course....

Well, after hearing alot of postitve coments about this, I think i might try this anime out. But what's been putting me off about this anime is that:
I dont like rock music
For most other animes, it really dosent matter if i dont like it because that will juse concern the OP/ED or background music, but "Beck" is all about rock music and Rock Bands so i had no urge to start the anime. However, Ive hear that theres huge character development, very decent story and very intense and interesting characters which all suits my liking.
What i want to ask is that:
1) Does me not liking rock/guitar/metal etc music make me "not" like Beck
2) Does it really have good characters and character development
3) Is it similar to any other anime titles, because i really enjoyed Full moon wo Sagishite which is another anime that is based on music
4) How much would you rate this anime?
Thanks in advance!

04-30-2005, 08:36 PM
1. Not really. . BECK has much more to offer than just bands and music. I was skeptical about it first in case it was just about music but its much more for sure.
2. I'd say so, the characters are just great. Everyone of them.
3. Couldn't say.
4. 8/10 I just loved it.

Beck is basically the greatest anime ever if you enjoy listening to Engrish.
I stick to the Beck manga, since the animation is -really- rough-in-the-bad-way in the anime, at times.
-Beck anime gets 7/10 from me, due to sheer hilarity factor

1) Does me not liking rock/guitar/metal etc music make me "not" like Beck
Nope, as said above its much more than just about music, its about growing up and developing relationships, moving on ect.
2) Does it really have good characters and character development
Yes, the characters a deep and they learn, grow and develop. I think it has more of a better character development than Naruto since it covers ALL of the main characters.
3) Is it similar to any other anime titles, because i really enjoyed Full moon wo Sagishite which is another anime that is based on music
Not that i know of...
4) How much would you rate this anime?
10/10
Dr. Maturin
05-01-2005, 12:05 AM
You have to watch the anime! Great character development and it just draws you in. Enjoying rock music would be a bonus but is not necessary.
1) Not really, that aspect wont make much od a difference
2) Anime, heh, yeah, but not equal to the manga seeing that they cut it just when it was gettign good *rolls eyes*
3) Not to my knowledge
4) 0/10 . Being a manga fan from the beginning, the anime totally ruins every aspect I enjoyed in it. The engrish might be the only plus factor (only due to the countless hours of amusement it provides). The animation is mediocre at best, and the music doesnt live up to what I had in mind.
Moral of the story:
Steer away from the anime and read the manga.

apparently the manga is definitely the way to go with this series. i just finished the anime yesterday and i thought it was ok. my bro and his friend on the otherhand thought it was absolute garbage. i guess episode 26 compressed many many volumes worth of story into one 30 min segment. ive never read the manga but it seems like theres tons more story left in Beck. and no, i dont think theres going to be any more of the anime. cant say that for sure though but boy would that suck.

I just finished watching the Beck series. I have to say it was a nice change of pace from the usual anime I watch. It was cool to see some friends go from simple practice to playing huge concerts. However I have some questions to anyone who has seen the whole series as well concerning the ending.
What exactly happens in the ending? lol. It shows them playing some shows in America then it jumps ahead to after they return and Koyuki talking to Maho? about the trip.
How exactly big of a band did they become?
Did Koyuki end up with Maho?
Anyone know the answers to these?

I suggest you read the manga, it's still continuing. To answer your questions, Koyuki did end up with Maho but their band never really got that big.

The band never really got that big? Did you even read the manga?
They are about to sign a contract with a big company for a new album wich might become their great breathrough.
Enough of that though. I too suggest you read the manga. The end of the anime was made in a really poor way, and left alot of things hanging.
I do agree that you should read the manga after the anime if you want more Beck. (Manga is still going and is far far away from where the anime ended... which was only till around chapter 26 so less than half of what is out now).

Oh god, I honestly fell in love with BECK, its probably the anime the influenced me the most and touched me. I can't find anything similar because I was dying for something similar since BECK was so short lived even though I think it deserved a way longer run. The only thing I could even get close to finding was The Legend of Black Heaven and I couldn't really find a place where I could get the episodes. Any suggested animes?
I too have been looking for some similar ones but none seem to compare to BECK. I loved BECK and the songs that they produced on the show. It was an awesome series and hopefully we'll find a series close to it soon.

I concur.
I was really dissapointed on how they ended the anime so quickly on the final episode of the first season, and just like whipped up a bunch of stuff from the manga into like a recap version in one episode it was dissapointing. The music was definantly one of the main reasons I was attached to the anime.
Hopefully something similar will, but will lay that as the basis of the story and have it be a realistic matter not some science fiction unrealistic anime. And have characters that a person could connect too not just personality wise, but also with life experiences.

In the manga... Koyuki's voice is more...god-like... and the emotions are way better captured by the mangaka... the anime is good, but cant compare to the manga. I suggest you start from the beggining, way more intense

that sounds like a good idea, i'm sure the manga has a different approach and i guess it'd be better to have that style from the start. anywhere else that i can download from that won't be down until august? even though it's only a handful of days away.

I never read the manga, but minus the ending, I found the anime to be great.
Kinda depressing though for some reason or another... Saitou and Chiba are awesome though....
I think most of you hating on the anime, are simply manga readers. Thats why I tend to watch a completed anime first, then go back to the manga. It works out alot better.

Sorry to break the news but there is not going to be a 2nd season
I was at the AX panel and asked the director if he is planning to make a 2nd season, and he said there will be no 2nd season, and that he would like to work on other projects.
As i thought then. :sad I wonder why the magazine wrote that then =\ meh
Anyway I haven't read the manga. I dunno doesn't tempt me that way i mean the music was the biggest feature for this anime, I wonder how it will come forth in the manga in just lyrics? So i think for me I'll not read the manga.

Little up for that topic :)
As most of the anime or manga that really hooked me up, the synopsis didn't appeal me that much. Not that I don't like that kind of music, but I had some bad memories of an another anime about music (in fact music was more a background thing and the music was crap).
About the ending, in the situation where the studio was (unknown if there would be a second season or not), it was and well done. In the situation, if there is no second season, it give the anime a open ending with still Beck as a band and you have to imagine what their future will be. An ending at episode 25 wouldn't have been faithfull to the manga by the way that there won't be any Beck as a group.
And if in the case of a second season (doesn't seem the case), the slideshow about the tour in America doesn't go too far in the detail. The only major spoiler would be the arrestation of Leon, the reunion of Beck and Ray isn't really a spoiler as you know he would come back into the group soon or later. Most of the pictures doesn't really tell a story anyway. Presents some new characters but doesn't go in the detail of their stories. So a second season can start with the tour in America (or not), it was more a thing of wrapping everything up.
If it had cut to a precise point without doing it thinking a possible second season (that couldn't have happen or will not happen). You're teasing them to something that may never happen. Think to all these tv shows that ended without solving anything because they thought that would have gotten another season but got cancelled. And in the end, the viewer is only left but disappointed. Some show have some cliffhanger as final ending. So there could have been more worse ending to Beck given the circumstances.

Sorry for topic ressurection but I really wanted to speak my mind on this series. I was having a anime craving yesterday so I decided to try something different. I am really into rock music so I figured I would give this a try. All I can say is wow. I was completely blown away by the story, animation and music. I can not believe that there is only 26 episodes. Is the series on hold until more manga is released or is it over for good? Whichever it is all i can say is to me this is probally one of the greatest series I have ever watched.

If there was a ova I think it would come into play after the american tour. The ending to the anime sort of covered that. On a side not after reading the manga recently I really feel that they compliment each other. The anime focusing on the music and the anime the story. When I read the manga I can hear the songs in my head and when I watch the anime I can understand the story even more.

Well I just finished ripping through the series in a few days...I know im abit behind heh.
But it was a pretty good show. Mostly for the music though...The actual storyline was pretty meh and the absolutely horrible english really took away alot from the realism the show had going. It wouldof been ok if they weren't trying to pass most of them as native english speakers, but they did and it sounded horrible. I guess its really hard to find a VA fluent in english in japan or something...
Anyway the music really saved it for me and there was a few scenes at the start of the show that were great, but it seemed as the story went along the music got better and the story started sucking more xD.
So...yea...Great music...blah story...horrible english. :P

I suggest reading the manga, obviously no music, but you can at least get the see how things continue on. After 25 episodes the anime only gets to volume 10, while Beck the manga has 26 volumes out (so far) with 25 translated. The 26th episode tries to squeeze like 3 volumes worth of content into like 3 minutes, failing badly imo.
The english was damn awful heh, but I couldn't stop laughing my ass off, loved the music as well, overall great series.

Over all this is one of my favorite animes ive ever seen, this show made me take up the guitar, which ive been practicing for a while. Though even though its considered a favorite, they didnt explain/go into enough depth for alomst every single important person/thing. Ryuske, Tiara, Saku, Maho, Kyoki, and Kyoki's ex-friend(that girl that swam alot), and his guitar lesson did not have enough background information, espically the people left out, it seemed they concentrated on his guitar teacher for alot of the show, then he dissapeared and didnt see him for the last 10 episodes.
It wasn't just the characters and plot that wasnt explained, though along with main ideas, such as the dream...what was that all about, picking up the garbage? Don't understand/or make any sence. Plus it didnt state wether Ryuske got back with Beck, which he probally did considering he was the main leader of it, plus he got back lucielle. I had to think of this for a while, but Leon's uncle and Ryuuske had a converastaion that said something along the lines can you help me? help you with what? For those that didnt figure this out something happened at Leons house when he called him, most likely Ryuuske got his ass whipped and Leon called the cops on him.
Im not saying this was a bad show, cuz its in my favorites. Its just that it seemed it should have been a 50 ep+ series instead of 26. If they don't make an OVA in the future about the past or the future of the characters, they wouldn't just be stupid, but rather denyign the fact that most of the viewers didnt get that satisifaction that was there during the beggining and middle of the show. It seems empty, that the show shouldn't have ended there and I want to download more to finish it, sadly I can't. Please leave some feed back if you agree or if you dissagree with what I said.

I know this anime is old now and whatnot, but anyone that has seen it and is a musician or a former musician would know the feeling you get from this anime, even if you don't play an instrument, it will make you want to pick up a guitar somewhere along the way.
That is not the point of this thread however. I remember a long time ago there was an announcement of a Season 2 airing in Japan, however I don't think I have heard anything about that recently. On one of the wikipedia pages it says that a Season 2 would air around May of '07. I don't take information from wikipedia all that serious but it does pick at my curiosity.
So anyone know if this anime is going to get a Second Season?
I think this series deserves a second season. I've heard the manga goes farther but I am not big on Manga (those that know me, know I prefer the anime form of a series :P).
A second season would be sweet. Although the ending of the first season kinda killed the US tour. As well, I've heard that the show itself wasn't really super popular in Japan. Who knows though, if we get another season, I'll be really stoked to watch it.

How is the music better in a book? <.< Unless your talking about the lyrics, which I wasn't a fan of (the only song with vocals that I liked was Slip Out and the ending theme :P). Also I read how they butchered episode 26, I already know about the parts they cut out and a lot of the other things they left out, which is kind of sad... people will never know that
Chiba finally saw that dream
Oh well. I thought it was still pretty good though I could never get around to reading the manga for this series.
Gonna bump this thread one last time. The series finished up yesterday. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the dub. I didn't like the change to "I've got a feeling" too much, but then again, with copy right laws out the ying-yang, I'm not surprised.

I just finished watching Beck a few days ago, and I love it. *_*
It makes me wanna play the guitar, and learn how to play bass. xD
But the thing I don't like is the slideshow as the ending because it was a bit anticlimactic. The ending should've been better. And it didn't tell us about the characters' background, and not to mention the weird conversations in English. But it's a very good anime nonetheless and deserves a second season (even though it seems there will never be a second season). And I think the art is pretty good too.
Slip Out and Face are nice songs, so I'm downloading the OST as we speak. xD

Anyone know a torrent of beck music from the anime? I want an album if there is one.
Also I'm a noob when it comes to guitars and stuff so who is the person that plays the electric guitar in the band? Thanks.
Well, both Ryuuske and Koyuki play Electric, if thats what you mean. Ryuuske is lead guitarist, while Koyuki is rhythm. Unless your asking for the actual person in RL who plays the instrument. In that case, I dunno.
As for music, I can't find anything on the NA sound track. But the JP one can be found: http://www.beck-mcs.org/indexen.php

Yeah, no matter how hard they try, they could never make the music as impacting as it seemed to be in the manga. That's one thing that can't be adapted. IRL, there's no music that makes everyone acknowledge it and get the feeling the characters in the manga got when listening to Beck.

Well I know I would like it. I love music and I can appreciate any genre. But then again, if a band makes that much of an impact on me, It's all good either way. :del
