The opening is very different from what I would expect for a series of this nature and I definitely would not have chosen this song but with the right choice of scenes and thoughtful placement, it can turn out pretty good. If this is the new op then the ending may be a fast paced, hardcore song.

I dont think all opening have really reflected what was going on on the series but given the upcoming battles you would expect something more frantic.

For some reason the song gives me a happy ending vibe. You know gundam happy, not happy happy.

Hmmm... Th OP has me wondering though. In the Begining the OP the Hot hot nakid girls are reaching for that glowing butterfly, and in the end of it Setsuna reach's his arm back and there's that butterfly with one of the girls hands reaching out. I wondering who it could be that's holding Set's hand... :huh

OP's don't really offer much in way of hints. It's the ED that you should be looking out for. Like S2's first ED...

Tieria shooting the mirror where he and his fellow Innovators were reflected. Check.
Al and Soma, check. Yeck.
Setsuna standing on the 00 Raiser's palm looking at someone in a Gundam Meister suit. And it's just been confirmed or revealed(to people who don't scour the net for G00 stuff :P) that Ribbons was a Meister. Check.

And then at the end of the ED, where the 4 Meisters are walking to the Ptolemy 2, inside a crater. Which has been shown in the recent episode to be the former city of Seel/Siru. The city that was obliterated by Memento Mori.

Lawl, only thing left is Lyle's and those hands. Possibly Anew related. Don't get the blankets though. Perhaps it means a secret since it's covering that persons identity? If it's Anew, I sure hope it won't mean she's a double agent for Ribbons, because I like her. :pek
Marina covering the children while something explodes in the sky. Could be Memento Mori.
Dunno about Louise and that Andrei reflection, and I don't really care to think about them haha. :laugh

But yeah, the ED has a lot of clues more than what you can get form the OP. Ever since Season 1, like Lockon's death. The scissor he was using to trim Setsuna's hair fell to the ground, and the water turned red and washed over it.
