Animes there deconstructions of their genres

There are some anime that are deconstructions of their genres that what it'd be like if they existed in real life. For example<i've only seen a few episodes of NGE, but its supposed to be a deconstruction of the giant robot genres and showed what it'd be like if a lot of giant robot cliches happended in real and also deconstructed several anime personalitites.
