The guys at souten scans are serious people, they translate directly from the japanese manga. A translation of a translation woudn't have the same quality.

Well, the voting for January is already over.

So we'll have to try February next. It works quite simple, at the end of a month the mod of the section opens a thread where you can nominate manga series. The ones that are nominated the most (usually the top three) are taken to an extra voting thread with poll and everything and there all members of the forum can vote for the series they want to win.
