I read the new preview in June 05's issue of Shonen Jump of I"s.

Id say its pretty good and funny. Of Course, its a pervy manga.

The graphic novels are out.

Who else read I"s?

I read the first 20 chapters of it them promptly forgot it existed....
It's not that I didn't like it, it was a good manga, but it just didn't appeal to me as much as say Ichigo 100% or Negima. But I can't really think of reasons why it didn't appeal as much, perhaps I'll have to read it again, see if I'll like it more if I just read further.

I've read the entire manga already it's dam good. The manga-ka of I's can sure as hell draw dam well I like the way he draws girls in his manga especially the hair too lol it's prevvvy. :smile-big I recommend checking his other work too Video Girl AI and DNA 2 but DNA2 hasn't been lincensed you can DL from the internet though.

Back with I's I like Itachika's best friend so preveted but thinks his cool too I just like the sadistic expression he does there's some funny ones later trust me. :laugh

BTW If your wondering I's is 15 volumes long. Right now the manga-ka that did I's a few years back is right now doing a manga called Zetman don't let the name throw you off yeah the name is quirky but the manga it's really good only two volumes has been translated there's a total of four volumes released so far in Japan it's released weekly just like Naruto but it's intented for older teens like most of his work that his ever done.

Well to me it doesn't really drag on especially if you compare it to half assed manga like Ichigo 100% where the main character can't even make a decision as to which girl he likes man that series draaaaaggggs on I lost interested in that medicore series a while ago. For I's Itchika does end up with a girl but there are temptations and "obsticles" that makes it hard for him to be happily with the girl that sort is the premise of the manga for the main character not giving up and not taking the easy way out by being with another girl that's basicly a replacement. Overall the series is pretty good but that's just my opinion. :P

I finished reading I"s and i am now reading Ichigo 100%. So far i think I"s is alot better than Ichigo 100%. though i am only like maybe 40 chapters into Ichigo 100%. I"s is alot more serious than Ichigo 100% seems to be. Ichigo 100% seems to have alot more comedy than I"s did.

In I"s everyone knows who Ichitaka likes, even his childhood friend =] I won't say much in case some of you haven't read it all. In Ichigo, Manaka is still unsure although he seems to be finally choosing xD

well it depends what kinds of manga you prefer. If you like action manga more, then of course you will like naruto more than I's.

Well for it's genre romance/comedy I's is damn good but if you only like stuff that has action than I's isn't for you I recommend I's for people who liked Love Hina or Kare Kano.

Seems like your my opposite you have the same exact opinion but it's towards Ichigo 100%. :P

Well I's starts off ALOT slower then Ichigo 100% which is why im kinda hesitant to reading I's cuz it starts so slow. But for me Ichigo 100% I like cuz everytime i read it i think about last year /sigh anyway its all a matter of preference. Just a few questions for those who have finished reading. I just finished reading I"s and had a few questions.

What was the deal with Chapter 143# A and B? They are different endings right? Also I heard a long while ago that the mangaka wrote different endings for I"s so that people wouldn't be displeased by the one ending. Is that true? Thanks in advance.

Personally I think its a great story. Though the ending wasn't that good in my opinion. Kinda a life story of someone. It was interesting to me in that case. Depressed yes sometimes, but thats life and the mangaka was able to capture that. As for horny... well you gotta remember they're cartoons and not real XP

Well I read almost all of it today.

The main character can really annoy me at times... (Don't hate him though. But some of the decisions he make).

I dislike Iori...(which is usually related to where any dislike of a certain decision the main character makes stems from).

I'll say it's REALLY funny and quite pervy (good for guys; awkward for girls) but it's pretty interesting not to mention the artists drawings aren't laid back but very hard-work and looks very nice (if that statetment even makes sense). There's a total of 15 volumes.

Oh btw there's a new OAV series being made it's going to be a total of 6 episodes so I'm guessing there adapating the first couple of volumes like how Video Girl AI was done. There is already a two OAV Ep series but it's just plain bad for one thing it's an original story so it's not really adapation of the manga and basicly everything in the OAV was bad the only thing good was the Art but the animation was very choppy it wasn't fluid.

Anyways if you want to DL the anime get it on animesuki.com but don't expect much. And here's a review:

Yeah saw the OVA it was better than I thought it would be. I was worried that it would be so condense that it would turn up not good thankfully the OVA turn out to be really good. The music was great like the "artistic" opening it had the animation was good too. Can't wait for the next episode which comes out next month.

Eventhough the OVA is only six episodes it's still very good. People who haven't read the manga can check out the OVA series first then read the manga.

I"s was actually the first manga I've read... and loved. Loved it so much that I read it three or four more times after reading it once. :amuse

I haven't seen the anime versions of I"s, but I'm planning on seeing it.

BTW, I'd like to ask since it's been bugging me lately: What was the name of the girl Ichitaka met in the apartment? The one with the mole? Well, to be honest, among the four I-girls surrounding Ichitaka, she's the one I like the most. :P

Took me a while to find this thread since I couldn't search it. Had to browse through 8 pages.

Anyway, since the I''s Pure OVA just ended, and some people haven't read the manga yet and have only seen the series, I'm currently on the job of uploading all the volumes. If you haven't read it, I really recommend it because it is a great manga and one of the only two that I have fully completed. (Other was Ichigo 100% if anyone is wondering)

but this is seriously a great manga
I read through it once 3 years ago and it moved me a lot.
I just reread it again, and played some sad song on repeat while reading it
I must say I got pretty teary-eyed in the last few chapters... the fact that Seto was willing to sacrifice so much for Iori. Nothing new, but it is certainly very moving.

Things I'm slightly going to complain about:

the side girl characters - a bit too draggy sometimes, like Itsuki or Izumi (asou was okay)

the middle-later chapters - the chapters leading up to the actual confession on the subway was great, because the stuff that Seto was thinking was SO realistic, I mean the mangaka really knows what shy love-obsessed high school guys think. But after that things started to fell a bit apart, in terms of how well the plot was put together. Nevertheless still good.

ending - I felt the ending was too short, or perhaps its better this way. Seto wakes up, his friends organize a party, Iori appears, they reunite, the end. That was honestly a bit too hasted. And the fact that Iori wasn't shown to be that sad after the "breakup" was a bit disappointing, though this manga never was shown from her perspective.


I've read both Ichigo 100% and this. Ichigo was GREAT, but I felt for those who prefer a bit more seriousness and realism, I"s is better. Ichigo contains more comedy, fanservice, stuff like that. I"s is strictly realistic, and connects you to the mood of the manga very well.

Ha i started reading this yesterday & finished it just a few mins ago. It was real topsy turvy throughout the manga, but i loved it. I actually felt for Ichitaka. So sad that it's over.
