Well, Im not sure if this has already been brought up, but what are some of the best "Warm fuzzies" mangas?

Like (already read):
Ichigo 100%
Lilim Kiss
Pretty Face (not really but close enough)
Love Hina

So what are some good ones? Don't ask me why, Im just a weird guy I guess. If you couldn't tell from my s/n Im into romance a bit. And, well, I was almost born on Valentines day.

Open Sesame was a pleasant suprise, i just read it because i was bored and next thing you know i was addicted to it like Ichigo 100% and I's.

Suzuka is another good story but the manga scans are behind in the anime so you gotta wait or just watch the anime.

Magister Magi Negi has romance but also relies on other elements to progress the story so i'd say its not quite as much of a romance as Love Hina.

sorry this is off-topic statement, but I was almost born on Valentines day too :occa
I'm watching Suzuka too, it's a pretty good anime you should watch it.

I wouldn't really recommend Ichigo. It is a really great, complex love story, but I didn't feel good at all after reading it. I actually feel quite depressed because of it. I think it's something to do with Manaka's indecisiveness... or the fact that such an 'average' guy has so many hot women falling for him.

I'm starting to read the Love Hina manga volumes now. It is actually quite good. The anime was terrible, but I'm starting to see why everyone calls Love Hina a 'classic'.

#1 fave: I am SO glad that someone mentioned Maison Ikkoku! :love If you like romance and comedy, you can't possibly go wrong with that one. That is one of the few manga that I have actually laughed and cried while reading!

#2 fave: Kare Kano is another great one. A must read, if you haven't already come across it. It is one of the funniest manga I have ever read, the romance is convincing, and the characters are all great--especially Asaba :D

#3 fave: Marmalade Boy. This is one of the silliest stories EVER, but it is also highly addictive. It is, basically, an anime soap opera--but it is SO good XD

Also, you would probably enjoy Midori no Hibi. That is also hilarious, and the romance, while not nearly as deep as Maison Ikkoku's, is very enjoyable :thumbs

Cant believe no one mentioned Onegai Sensei! that ones an emotional rollercoster of an anime.

Also for those of you who havent read the lengthy Ah! Megami-sama/ Ah My Goddess MANGA, your missing out... really. The anime is OK but the manga is 100 times better.

You could also try Good Morning Call, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (shortened to Hana Kimi) and Lovely Complex, I'd say they're pretty feel-good even if GMC and LC haven't been finished yet.

Negima's also hilarious, although it doesn't totally focus on the romance (yeah, 30 girls...)
Anybody read salad days? It's nice, really

Ai Yori Aoshi has got to be the best out there. I mean, iff you're looking for a feel good anime/manga than this is it. Another one is DearS but that i thinnk has some problems because the Main guy is a jerk.

I second this! :smile-big Rumiko Takahashi's work is always great, and Maison Ikkoku is definitely a feel-good romance with lots of humor mixed in.

Fruits Basket and Ouran High School Host Club are my favorite, dashed with so much comedy, drama, and romance that I could not think of another that would be more enjoyable. And I'm not really into ecchi manga, so no Ichigo 100%, Love Hina, or stuff like that for me.

"feel-good" romance mangas (ones that make you feel all warm or make you say "awww") are:

-Nodame Cantabile (the romance parts, anyway)
-Hana Yori Dango (Boys over Flowers)
-Kare Kano (His and Her Circumstances)
-Hana Kimi
-Karin (Chibi Vampire) (This one has ridiculous amounts of mushy stuff in it for a boys' manga. I swear to god I thought this was a shoujo at one point.)

And there was this one about a shy glasses girl that I can't remember the name of... damn, that one really fit into this category...

Anyway, these all fit into the "mushy stuff/lovey-dovey" category, which is more of a girl thing, I guess. :P

Koukou Debut (Highschool Debut)

As much as I like Hana Yori Dango, there's too much drama to be "feel good" to me.

I AGREE!! i just finished the last chapter, and its soooo good!! and yohs so fit... and its soo sad as well. i nearly cried.
Ouran and absolute boyfriend is good, also tail of the moon,
i would say fruits basket, but its really deep
i would also say hot gimmick, but thats pretty deep aswell

Zoe

Yeah, Hot Gimmick is up there with Hana Yori Dango in terms of drama, not really "feel good" to me.

I''s and fushigi Yuugi come to mind. The thing about Ichigo 100 is that the pairings are really intense and the different supporters are hostile.

Wow, you guys should be ashamed. Honey and Clover to me was just about as possibly feel good as you can get. I mean, its all about being happy no matter what your position in life.

No ones mentioned Flowers and Bees either. The protagonist actually sets out to change himself rather than go be emo in a corner. Beats the crap out of most of those useless romances.

Mysterious girlfriend, I found to be a very enjoyable romance, one of my favorite so far.

I find it so cute, because it represents that wacky crazy time in peoples adolescent years, with their interactions with the opposite sex.

Does mysterious girlfriend show things exactly realistically? No, but it symbolizes them extremely well, the drool is a very powerful symbolization of the weird and crazy bonds we form with those we like and "love", and how we so very much cling to them.

Nodame Cantabile
Kimi wa Petto

Those get the job done.

Don't know if it quite falls under "Feel Good", but Welcome to NHK. I've always been extremely nervous around other people and especially women. Reading this made me realize that what I thought was a unique personality thing to me was really just a problem that I had that could be fixed. Got over it and now I live better.

"Feel Good" in a sense to me because I felt that I could change myself after reading it.

MRain65

Mentioned, but worth repeating:

Kimi wa Petto (there's a fair bit of angst, but there's enough cuteness to push it into the WAFFy category)
Koukou Debut (great heroine)
Ouran High School Host Club (the early chapters are best for the feel-good factor, as the melodrama tends to pile on later in the series, but there's no series that skewers and celebrates shoujo manga better than Ouran)

I love Furuba, but I'd leave it off the list, because the angst is in plentiful supply, despite what appearances might suggest.

My contributions:
Gokusen (I wouldn't call it a romance-romance, but the central relationship is pretty important to the story, and the rest is worth reading)
Skip Beat (this mangaka's works are pretty uplifting in general, actually)
Yankee-kun to Megane-chan (slice of life with a catchy art style, and if it isn't a a romance yet, there are plenty of hints that it's heading in that direction)
Anything by Takahashi Rumiko puts me in a good mood, even Inuyasha (which can get fairly dark at times), and she always centers her works around a love story.

In shounen manga, the romance, if it's there--and no, yaoi fan service doesn't count--is usually on the sidelines, but I find shounen manga are much better mood-lifters. It's not that there isn't any angst in shounen manga, but it's more of a temporary obstacle than a black hole of despair (unless your name is Sasuke or you're in Berserk).
