What movies do you think are funny?

I've put my list in the poll. Pick which one of my faves are the funniest to you and list yours below.

Superbad
Clerks
Clerks 2
Borat
BASEketball
Orgazmo
South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut

BASEketball has to be one of the most underrated comedies ever.

Wow, that sucked. I was compiling a list for the poll and it said I was too late. How stupid.

Anyways here's some off the top of my head:

Austin Powers
Joe Dirt
Waiting
Old School
Caddy Shack
The Jerk
Meet the Parents/Fockers
One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest
The Animal
The New Guy
Grandma's Boy
Deuce Bigalow
Animal House

and others. I had a poll of 15 but it took me a while to remember. I'll name some later

Borat was beyond funny. Do you like pubic? :rofl

Space Ballz is a good movie to watch with good humor in it.

easily the best was Clerks, and a really close second is Borat.. nothing compares to those two movies

Beverly Hills Ninja. Classic Chris Farley.

My thought is, that if you can watch a movie more than 3 times and still think its hilarious then its a true, genuine funny movie. For instance, I've seen all the Austin Powers and Joe Dirt more times than I can count. They are all still funny as hell every time I watch them.

Anyone ever watch THE JERK?

^^^Borat was pretty funny, all of the childish quoting kind of ruined it for me though. Not what I would call extremely funny though, kind of what I would consider a "fad".

I've actually never seen Clerks. I'll have to try to see it soon

I still remember the naked scene when I first saw Borat in cinema. The whole place was laughing their asses off, people were in tears and rolling around in the aisle. That's gotta be a sign for a classic comedy. :laugh

Another good few I just remembered is Young Frankenstein, Holy Grail and Life of Brian

Another hilarious movie. Bad Santa. I remember laughing my ass off in the theater with my brother. Oh, such good times.

And also:

R.I.P. Bernie Mac.

^^^ Yes, RIP Bernie Mac :). He was funny. His show was pretty good.

"You should change your name from kicken-wang to Kicken ass!

"Awwwhhh I got the poo on me!"

"Grrr baby very grrr"

"One Swedish-made penis enlarger.
Austin Powers: [to Vanessa] That's not mine.
Quartermaster Clerk: One credit card receipt for Swedish-made penis enlarger signed by Austin Powers.
Austin Powers: I'm telling ya baby, that's not mine.
Quartermaster Clerk: One warranty card for Swedish-made penis enlarger pump, filled out by Austin Powers.
Austin Powers: I don't even know what this is! This sort of thing ain't my bag, baby.
Quartermaster Clerk: One book, "Swedish-made Penis Enlargers And This Sort of Thing Is My Bag Baby"

hahahah

His part on Kings of Comedy was noice as well. Other than Steve Harvey, I'm all about Bernie.

Meet the Fockers

Tropic Thunder

Major Payne

Amnesia
12-07-2008, 02:31 AM
Pineapple Express- I don't know whether it was because I had low standards or the movie was actually amazingly comedic for a stoner flick, but it had me in tears. James Franco was fantastic.

And I can't think of any more comedies...

Philip.J.Fry
12-07-2008, 02:43 AM
Oh yeah I forgot about Tropic Thunder. Apparently you either thought it was hilarious or just ok. I was the kind who thought it was hilarious.
Major Payne was awesome too

^^^ I wouldn't mind another austin powers. If it isn't good, it isn't good. It won't ruin the others for me. Rocky 5 wasn't that good and Rocky Balboa was average at best, and I can watch all the other rocky's over and over again and still love him.

"and I'm the unsilent majority bigmouth!"
"Happy-Birthday-Paulie"
"Dragoooooo!!!!"
"he is like iron!"

A lot of people find Kat Williams funny....I can't stand him. I don't know anybody else who shares my belief though....

Jerry Seinfeld Rocks

Kat Williams. American Hustle was noice. Otherwise, look up Paul Mooney. Beyond funny.

Absurd
12-07-2008, 03:35 AM
Office Space
Rat Race
I Spy
Meet the Parents
Meet the Fockers

That's all I can think of for now. I really need to find more quality comedies to watch, but hardly any of them are any good. Then again, maybe I'm just really picky since of all the movies mentioned here that I've seen (only a handful), I don't find very tasteful or humorous :/

Monty Python.

Otherwise I'm quite a negative nancy when it comes to comedy, I hate a great deal of films which are considered "funny" (cue Scary Movie, Hot Rod, etc)
