Well, there were a lot of games where Sena didn't do much until he figured out how to beat his rival, which was usually at the end of the game. I imagine he didn't gain that many yards against Shin or Yamato.

Actually we're all wrong apparently. I re read the chapter and Panther(he's a freshmen, I believe they said.) said he can't believe he's only 2 years older than him despite his appearence. In other words, he's a HS student. I doubt the coach is would only be 2 yrs older than Panther.
