I must admit, I knew what was going to happen in the novel but not how it was going to end, and I'm glad I didn't. The finale of this arc was much better than the last one, in music, art, and storyline to me. The only thing I can complain about are there being no true villains so far. Otherwise 10/10.

It may have been all the pain he was in but Touma was badass in this episode, so I'll give it a 9/10

Possibly the best episode so far, Touma had the brains and the guts to defeat Izzard. Plus, it looks like that other girl is fawning over him too!

I guess with a girl with very little emotion and having her smile at you would probably be fawning considering how rare it is for her to smile. And that is just me hoping at the same time too, I can't tell if this is a harem yet.

I still don't get how he figured out to beat the alchemy dude though but I enjoyed this episode.

How'd he use immagination breaker on the following attacks if he didn't have the right arm?

How'd Stiyl get his skin back?

Maybe things went too fast, or I was too impressed with crazy Touma to get it, but they lost me at the end there. If someone could explain with some detail as to how things went down, my aching brain would appreciate it.

He didn't, he just played on Aurelous' fears, which did the work for him.

Technically, it was never gone. Aurelous' didn't change reality, only the perception of it. When he lost his concentration, Stiyl's skin returned. Touma's arm didn't though because he imagined the sword that hacked it off, not the arm itself.

Thanks. That puts things into a bit better perspective. At first, I was thinking something close to what you said, but when it turned out that Touma actually lost the arm, it kinda threw me off.

I hope not, this anime has a great thing going and a great story that I think it needs to focus on. I would hate for the focus to turn to everybody and there mother fighting for Touma and getting into random sexual misconceptions every episode....

Izzard never thought his imagine breaker to be gone. He focused on getting rid of his right arm but never his imagine breaker.

Touma was epic here. Suppressing all that pain just to mind fuck Izzard, thats just awesome :awesome.This episode brought back my interest in this anime again(I was loosing interest after ep 2 :zaru) and finally, mikoto arc begins :gar

Just for Touma's way of handling it all the episode gets a 9. The fun ending was cute, looking forward to seeing how Aisa fits into their crazy household.
