Final Fantasy: Grand Battle
ALL INFO ABOUT CHARACTERS, EQUIPMENT AND ITEMS CAN BE FOUND "HERE" (http://finalfantasygrandbattle.wikispaces.com/)
Story
The land of Gaia has been in peace for more then a century, heroes these days adventure the lands only to strengthen themselves to participate in the various competitions that arised all over the country and to claim their desired wealth and fame.
You control a small band of adventurers, also travelling the lands for their own reasons.
But no one knew that from the shadows a evil force was creeping slowly towards the once so peacefull country...
Goal of the RP
You control a party of max. 3 players, you are free to transfer their stats to other characters so that story wise you can always fill them up with any character, the only thing that would change is the name. So you can always fill up all three slots regardless of story, so you can filling up characters.
The way you RP with your characters determines how much EXP you will be granted at every saturday.
Gil will be earned by exploring area's, everyday your party is in a area that's not a city, you can receive either gil or a item, this will be decided by a dice done by the GM.
Other ways of earning Gil is by entering competitions or gamble at the chocobo races.
Mechanics
You battle like traditional Final Fantasy, turn based, the one who attacks first is decided by the one with the highest speed. Once you have 100 EXP you receive a level up and can put one point in a stat, every level up you also receive a additional 10HP
Your characters can be any class and equip them with items they bought in the variety of towns, some towns sell other stuff then the other one but you can trade on long distance with players using Mognet Services, giving players the chance to gain profit by trading stuff not available to the other player.
Everyday you can travel to one area further, that way navigating to various cities or fields. Sometimes at some cities there will be events that will be missed out if you aren't there at that time.
But you can fasten your travel speed by various ways like:
Renting a chocobo, making you able to travel three areas further
Taking a boat, making you able to cross the sea.
Taking a airship, making you able to go anywhere, but the cost for this are very expensive.
Battle
When in battle you can use Attack, Skill and Item.
Attack is your normal attack depending on your Physical Strength and other factors dependable on your class, the defense from a Attack is Physical Defense.
Skill are special skills used by different classes, several are supporting and some of them use Physical Strength or Magical Strength.
When using a skill from any kind of Magic user it attacks the Magical Defense.
Items can be used for restoring health, attacking directly by throwing bombs that ignore defense, or supportive items that temporary increase stats.
A example would be:
A knight with 10 Physical Strength(P.Str) attacks a thief with 4 Physical Defense(P.Def).
The damage done by the Knight would be 6 since the defense substracts 4 from the strength of the attack.
But the Knight's attack would actually be even stronger when he has a sword equipped that gives +5 str, then it would be 10+5=15-4=11 damage done.
But ofcourse the Thief also wears a armour and such, but that's all count up into the stats between the ( - ).
When at the end of a battle one or more characters in your party are K.O'd the GM will use a dice to determine if your character will be fine, is injured or dies.
If the dice falls between 16~100 you are safe, if it falls between 6~15 the character will be injured and will not be able to gain exp until a next "competition".
If the dice falls between 1~5 your character will be death, it's cruel but you have to adept to this, when this happens your character can be replaced by a new character which will start at level 1.
You can always "replace" characters by other ones for story reasons, it's level/exp/stats will be transferred to the replacing character.
