I have 3 heros, and then 3 villains:

Heros:
Cloud Strife: FFVII
Solid Snake: Metal Gear Series
Squall Leonhart: FFVIII

Villains:
Sephiroth: FFVII
Akuma: Street Fighter Alpha
Revolver Ocelot: Metal Gear Series

Why: Cloud is just simply the greatest hero ever. He was impartial at first, then extremely confused, but in the ned he was there for all his friends. Solid Snake is the most badass, calm, collected, ass kicking, Spec. Ops. member. Squall is basically me personality wise. He's an asshole and a loner, but he comes through when it counts, especilly when he finds love....

Sephiroth is Cloud's nemesis, and the greatest game villain IMO. Who doesn't love demi-gods? Akuma is an awesome character for an awesome fighting game, and really brought Ryu and Ken to life as charaters. Revolver Ocelot is Snake's rival and an excellent marksman. It really is fun to see the classic Snake-ocelot matchups in several of the MG games.

Why: He's the reluctant anti-hero. Saves his city and still finds time to rip people off. Always has a cynical barb up his sleave. He can also sneak like no other.

Why: Kick Ass Character. The Last Ninja Gaiden game was awesome both gameplay and visually.

Game: Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, possibly upcoming games
Why: He's survived through years and years of combat, has a voice that'll make u piss in ur pants, over 7 ft tall, best sniper in the history of forever, blew up and entire planet and killed an entire Covenant Armada single-handedly, extremely cool......etc etc etc. Killed off the Flood forever, finally killed Gravemind, destroyed 6 planets in one move and survived the explosion in which he was trapped in... i could go on and on. He kicks ass. He's the sole reason I even bought an Xbox or 360 and then got Live. And I'm still happy with my decision. Nearly 1k to play as him is an extremely good deal.
