The ending to this was amazing.
It's great to see Gin out of the light for once and put Hijitaka in that oh-so-gar cameo held by Gintoki.

I agree, Hijikata was way too awesome in this arc. All of the Shinsengumi, really, even Itou :cry

I always wondered; was Itou ever mentioned before he appeared? Honestly, urgh. It was the same with Mitsuba, I never heard of the pair of them up until they actually appeared on screen. I don't know, I thought Itou's death was tragic and everything, but I couldn't feel anything for him. It all happened too quickly, and I know he was a plot device but it still bugged me.

Also, oh god, I loved Okita on the train, where he slaughtered the heathens. The quick splatters of blood on the sign was a fabulous touch. :ohpek

There were some glaring miraculous revivals but then it's shounen.

Ive been wanting to check out the Itou arc, but it there anything in connection that hasnt been subbed yet gonna lead up to that part.
