theres really no official details on this movie but the rights have been given. i read in a magazine about a year ago that it would probably be out by 2006. the time might've been pushed back though. i dont know where an article about it is but if you can find one thats great

General rule of thumb on any movie you might want to see, it ALWAYS gets pushed back, always.

Anyway, I haven't heard anything about it, but I'm sure I'll hear more and more as time goes on. Could be interesting, then again it could turn out to be either terrible or not made at all.

I remember hearing about that too. Having been a fan of metroid since it first came out on NES I am excited of the thought. Although seeing how successful movies based on games have been in the past, I have to worry that if it is ever made, it may be a let down. :sad

Nice find Luffy2692! I wonder why there hasn't been anything else announced since that. Looks like that article was written over a year ago. I just tried searching it out on the imdb and looks like it's slated for a 2006 release, but there is absolutely no more info then that. Hopefully we'll hear more soon. If they make a Metroid movie, it better not be about humans taking some kind of drugs in space, and turning into... ZOMBIES!!

Seriously, Doom was horrible.
