I've put up a lot of work in the Naruto section of the forums, but now I'm working on a fic over on the Bleach side of things. It centers around an aspiring shinigami in Soul Society, what he goes through to live his own dream.
Name: Teisatsu Shien
Zanpaktou: Mina no Gan. Name meaning "Eye of Everyone", it's powers lie in perception, allowing him to use the senses of everyone around him in addition to his own. There will be more than one chapter devoted to finding the sword's name and learning to use its power. No, he doesn't start with it. I have the Bankai form planned, but I don't think he'll hit it within the length of the fic (unless it runs a LONG time).
Type: Caster. He originally planned to join the Kidoushu, but plans change.
Personality: Very, very observant, and almost always trying to make a joke of things. "If you take a step back and look at your life, you'll either laugh or cry. I don't feel like crying". Often puts together random observations from the environment, and usually gets an accurate fact out of it (though he can and will mess this up on occasion)
I do have a couple of Kidou chants written for use later (he is a caster, after all). The manga and anime have only shown about 20 of them, which wouldn't be enough (especially since he will NOT be casting high-rank arts for a while).
"I am the Fury: burning flame immortal, ember eternal. Crimson skies on jade waters, thus do I burn. Hadou 27: Body of Flame" (Engulfs the caster in flame, won't harm him unless it goes on for too long)
"Six smiths forge five rings for four gods where three roads cross. Two men form one accord. Bakudou 24: Prison of Gold" (Forms a cage of golden energy around the target, acts like reinforced steel. Difficult to break, but not impossible)
Any feedback on these ideas is appreciated, I have high personal standards for my work and I'd like to see it done right.
