Set in a fictional 19th century England, D.Gray-man is the story of Allen Walker, a 15-year-old boy who roams the Earth in search of Innocence. Washed away to unknown parts of the world after The Great Flood, Innocence is the mysterious substance used to create weapons that obliterate demons known as akuma.D.Gray-man is a manga series by Hoshino Katsura. There is an anime adaptation by studio TMS Entertainment which airs weekly on Tuesday evenings (TV Tokyo).

D.Gray-man's first chapter was released on May 31st 2004 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump.

D.Gray-man's first episode was aired on October 3rd 2006.

Both of them are still going strong.

D.Gray-Man is officially licensed by Viz (http://www.viz.com/products/products.php?series_id=451) since July 2005. Volume 1 was released on February 6th 2006. The first five volumes of D.Gray-man have been released in the US as of May 2007.#1: Anything past the latest point in the anime must be discussed in spoiler tags.

#2: Any pictures that are wide enough to break the table (or far too long or both) should be placed in spoiler tags.

#3: Any pictures that can be considered as spoilers must be put in spoiler tags.

That's okay, but now..it seems...I'm going to have to advertised this FC hardcore. I know there are D.Gray-man fans hanging around this forum, I'm just going to have to find them. XDDD

Chapter 54 has been released by Yanime and Timcampi, I'll be uploading it tomorrow! Once the link expires, I'll redownload the volumes again. There's a new high quality volume 3 with more tidbits added to it, so I'll use that for the next upload. ^__~ Chapter 54 is really good!

Well, Bronwen, my friend, I just finished reading all 53 chapters of D. Gray-man that you supplied me and all i got to say is:

WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD CHAPTER 54?!!?!

That was a very good manga. Probably my third favorite in Shonen Jump already. It was full of comedy, nice action, likeable characters, and amazing art.

You should try Death Note if you haven't already, one of my other favourites besides Bleach, Naruto and D.Gray-Man. I also recommend Gintama.

Anyways, bad news or good news?

Viz has licensed D.Gray-Man along with Black Cat and one other manga I forget. Released sales has not been mentioned.

But Timcanpi says that they will not stop translating it.

;_; Thank gods. Damnit, American companies are licensing stuff so friggin fast. Money vultures. Greedy...but I'm going to have to see if they're even worth buying. At least they didn't screw up Bleach so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Just read Ch. 55, pretty good stuff.
Tiki (whose name I adore. Seriously, Tiki Mick?) is quite funny and crazy, I'm starting to like him. He's definitely more charming than the last enemy. Then again, it isn't that difficult to beat a giant flying torso in that aspect ^^

My favorite character is Komui, if anyone cares. With Rabi and Kanda as a close 2nd and 3rd.

Anyways, Yusura! :glomps Thanks for sharing more fanart, I will have to share my share too and I feel like drawing Miranda as she is my favourite character in D.Gray-Man.

Also with the current released of the latest chapters:

Anyone feeling a very nice RabixMiranda vibe? I am, I really am and I love these two dorky characters a lot. The image of Rabi clinging onto Miranda in the chapters that Miranda debuted officially as an exorcist was wonderful.

I'm also glad that Allen still has the essence of his innocence with him, it certainly looks interesting how his innocence expanded throughout his body.

don't remember if ive joined or not, but ghead and put me on the list if i haven't. Is it just me or did the style change a bit in Chapter 58? The one kid with the hammer whos name escapes me at the moment(is it Raffi?) looked taller and more serious and less cartoony like he did before.

anyway, since i finally got off my lazy ass, i decided to release the text translation for chap. 62.

Ok, i can't take any credit for this translation because it's my friend who translates manga for me. (she doesn't really mind sharing the translation, so it's pretty much ok for me to share this)

she also says things in her own words, so it may not be too accurate(she just gets the gist of it)

Page 1:
62nd Night: Strategy

Side: Allen continues his attempts to invocate!!!

Bak: This is why equipment types find it very difficult to control their Innocence. Even if they can synchronize, they are unable to control their Innocence to a high degree. That is why we modify Innocence into anti-Akuma weapons.
Bak: Turning the Innocence into a weapon serves as a link, so that the Compatible User can synchronize easier. In other words, they (equipment types) are capable of invocating their Innocence by synchronising with the weapon.

I really love the concepts of this manga. Guess cause I was always into these sort of themes (demons and the cross of the whole religious idea <3 Chrno Crusade) and it also reminds me of the manga Orion....so good. Can't wait to get through the rest =D

I just found it funny there was a complete lack of intrest for the story while every fanart got greeted by a long wave of attention :)
but it guess it's also normal since a great % of d.gray-man fans are actually female (the tincampi staff are girls :P...or so I heard)

It seems to be rather serious, because D.Gray-man will continue to be on break for at least another two weeks (#50 and #51), and perhaps more. Another source said that she's been hospitalised, and that D.G will be on break until further notice.

Just started reading the manga a couple days ago, and after reading all 68 chapters I must say i'm hooked, great series

Reminds me of a cross between Bleach and Jing: King of Bandits

D.Gray returns to WJ in #3
It's been a while! For those worried about cancellation rumours, the latest news is that D.Gray-man will return to WJ in issue 2006 #3.4 (on sale 12/19 or thereabouts). But, another site says it'll be back in #5.6 (12/26), so I don't know. Once I get confirmation, I'll repost. ^_^

Don't forget, tankoubon volume 7 also releases next month on 12/26! Please support Hoshino-sensei!

By the way, I've been meaning to post this but I keep forgetting. While Hoshino-sensei was on break from WJ, her staff started a "Supporters Club" for fans. It involves sending in postcards (much like polling cards) voting on the following topics. :D

Good news! Timcanpi never dropped D.Gray-Man. It was just a matter of having troubles with the website and they're planning on buying so that it's much more efficient and all.

Chapter 73 script is out! :dance

So anyways it goes back to the ship. Bookman tells Ravi bring it down now. Ravi complies and says the attack name - Wood Sermon. Wood Sermon is not an offensive attack, it actually manipulates nature. The attack moves the cloud apart. Crowley points out Akumas and quickly flies over there - :laugh there's actually only 3 Akumas, (not a billion as I assumed). So Crowley injects his blood into the akumas and they die. It's practically poison to them. Crowley faints. Ravi and crew points out to a big explosion of light where they noted Linalee was. Ravi wonders if Linalee is gone.

:cry Linalee. I'm half expecting Allen to appear for some reason.

Ravi has totally gone wacko over Linalee. Ravi/Linalee fans would be please. Ravi goes over to where Linalee is and find an akuma who seems harmless. The Akuma tells Ravi the crystal caught him and is protecting Linalee. It's actually Linalee's innocence. AND OMG HER HAIR!!! It's really really short now, boy's cut short. But I'm liking the funkiness. Anyways, the Akuma then explains to Ravi that he is a modified akuma made by dun dun dun Marian Cross! Cross is still alive! XDDD

I just remembered how much I enjoyed this series when I read it all... and the the fact I havent read a new chapter in about 3 months now :/

Is it a case of the author not writing much? Or no one scanslating?

I think the last I saw was 69 or so... anyone know where I can get more? I was using stoptazmo but they dont have any new chapters.

No one scanlating really and the fact that it's on hold again! The poor author is injured! Though if it's safe to say here >_> a place of no return does have D.Gray-Man scans.
