laskan Gov. Sarah Palin will not cooperate with a "tainted" legislative investigation into the firing of her public safety commissioner, the McCain-Palin campaign announced Monday, accusing supporters of Democratic rival Barack Obama of manipulating the probe for political motivations.

Former Palin Press Secretary Meg Stapleton told reporters in Anchorage that the power probe has been "hijacked" by "Obama operatives" for the Democratic presidential nominee -- namely, Alaska state Sen. Hollis French, the Democratic lawmaker managing the investigation and an Obama supporter. Hollis has denied working on behalf of the Obama campaign.

The Obama campaign described Stapleton's charge as "complete paranoia." It has denied sending campaign staff to Alaska to work with the legislative committee's investigation.

Tell me how the hell can an investigation into Palin's criminal behavior, that began before she was nominee for VP, suddenly be a democratic political contrivance meant to win Obama the presidency?

This is a mockery of justice! This is the equivalent of a basketball coach complaining about the refs because his team is playing horrible, in hopes of winning some sympathy from refs.

This is evidence that Mcsame and palin will continue 4 more years of bush's refusal to answer to anybody. She won't accept responsibility for her acts while she's governor, she'll be just like bush and cheney and pass the buck when things go wrong in the white house.

Well you see it's all obviously all a liberial, left winger, hippie, freedom lover, defender of the consitution, bleeding heart, neo facist communie plot!!!!! :dupe

in all seriousness I'm not surprised, of course she's not going to cooperate, she doesn't want people to know she's vindictive and unethical.

If that's the case, I want my Spy Gal dress-up kit. :cool ...although technically I'm an independent.

I still haven't seen anything that would convince me politically I would want the republicans in the White House for another four years. Palin is just another attempt to put the focus on religion rather than politics and the presidency isn't a religious office. But hey, it worked before, right? :nuts

Pretty much anything that inconveniences the republicans these days is brushed off as liberal democratic bias, meanwhile they steal their campaign themes from those same liberal liars.

If McCain wins - it's very easy to say Obama lost because OMGREPUBLICANSCHEATED. It's very difficult to take responsibility and admit that it's because of the majority of voters aren't on board with him politically.

Operatives makes it sound communist. How dare they confuse that with what is really good old socialism. :zaru

I guess it would be more prudent to refer to McCain's election-officers as Black Shirts now, or would that trigger race-card comments?

So in other words not being able to dispute that Palin is breaking her word you're reduced to 'hey look over there!'?

Wait, shes refusing to answer things shes accused for? OH NOEZ

But seriously all she is is McCain's attack dog....or pig...basically his fucking tool to use as he wants. She thinks she has all the cards but McCain has that bitch on a leash whether she wants to believe it or not. I can't wait for when McCain has used her up and tosses her aside like a condom. Oh well...atleast it will further prove male dominance in the world.

Aides to Gov. Sarah Palin won't comply with subpoenas issued by state lawmakers investigating the firing of Alaska's former public safety commissioner because Palin "has declined to participate" in the probe, her attorney general says.

"As state employees, our clients have taken an oath to uphold the Alaska Constitution, and for that reason, they respect the Legislature's desire to carry out an investigation in support of its lawmaking powers," Attorney General Talis Colberg, a Palin appointee, told the investigation's manager in a letter released Wednesday.

"However, our clients are also loyal employees subject to the supervision of the governor."

The chairman of the bipartisan panel that commissioned the probe said Colberg is breaking an agreement his office made a week ago.

"I feel like Charlie Brown after Lucy moved the football," state Sen. Kim Elton, the Democratic chairman of the state Legislative Council, wrote back to Colberg.

You can see she really is ready to be the next VP or pres from the republican camp. She's already exercising her executive privilege and is basically above the law :zaru

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's husband has refused to testify in the investigation of his wife's alleged abuse of power, and key lawmakers said Thursday that uncooperative witnesses are effectively sidetracking the probe until after Election Day.

Todd Palin, who participates in state business in person or by e-mail, was among 13 people subpoenaed by the Alaska Legislature. Palin's lawyer sent a letter to the lead investigator saying Palin objected to the probe and would not appear to testify on Friday.

wow, this get's better everyday. She is new to national politics, but already a grade A student in the republican art of evading justice.
