This is the last fanfic in my KakashiXMagiwa trilogy.I hope you enjoy the prologue.Please do not take offense to any of things in this fanfic.It is a made up story.If you do have a problem,please do not neg me.:)Use the PM system.

Prologue


Hearing their proclamation,Pein stood up and said

"We will commence the killing in exactly three hours!Guards,take him away!"

The two Yuugata members walked over to me and each put a hard hand on my shoulders,dragging me back to my cell.They pushed me in,leaving me sprawling on the floor and slammed the cell door.I sighed and went over to the window,watching the citizens of Konoha trying to rebuild the town.Suddenly,I felt hands on my face and saw Magiwa's head resting on my neck,her arms stroking me tenderly.

I smiled,and lowered myself down to a sitting position.She let her hands go for a split second,then wrapped them about the back of my neck,her lips pressing into mine so forcefully that I fell onto the floor,breaking the connection,laughing quietly.I lifted my chained hands up,and she crawled on top of me,her arms around my back and our lips pressed together,giving off a tingling sensation throughout our bodies....


She sighed,her arms squeezed tightly around my neck and remarked

"I think I better get out.It is going to be time soon."

I nodded,saying

"I wish this didn't have to happen.If there was only a way..."

She smiled and said,turning invisible,

"The white chakra will protect you,honey.It won't let you die,I know it won't."

I sighed,watching the guards come back into my cell,then felt her lips again on mine,her way of saying goodbye.They dragged me back outside,rain dripping down my face,and forcefully pushed me over towards Pein,sending me kneeling on the ground.Pein unhooked my arms from the chains and twisted my head,forcing me to look to the left.A huge rock,about 300 pounds,lying down on the ground next to me.

"A rock?"I thought,confused

Pein smiled,knowing my discomfort and dragged me to the rock,rope in his other hand,and tied the huge rock on top of my back,making me nearly fall over from the sheer weight.He said

"You will carry that rock to the top of Hokage mountain.You will receive no help from anyone whatsoever and will not be able to use Ninjutsu to help you."

pointing to the top of Hokage mountain,a barbed wire fence around the top of it.I looked to where he was pointing and sighed.It was a long way up from there.

I know it is short,but I wanted to see if I should make them shorter and split them into parts or have them as one long big chapter.

Chapter 1-Anguish,Part 1


I lifted my foot,preparing to go up the mountain.It slowly moved up,the weight of the rock on my back,making my foot shake and ever so slowly went back down,a few inches away from where it had started.That whole process of moving my body took me one and a half full minutes,for only one foot!It took me three hours to get up to the mountain.

As I walked,people pointed and sneered at me,laughing at my pitiful condition.I was like a starving dog in an alleyway,thin,wet,uncomfortable,and unclothed.I slipped every now and then, the mud in the road splattering me and sending me tumbling sideways,onto the dirt path.Pein helped me up and then stabbed me in the chest a few times with his black chakra blade.

I ignored the pain and insults,though,only wanting to get to the top of the mountain.When we finally made it,I was miserable.My body was covered in sweat and rain,mixing with the many wounds on my chest and stinging me,causing me pain.My hair was wet and plastered to my face, obscuring my vision.Pein untied the rock from my body and quickly pushed me inside the fence,offering no explanation.

I soon figured it out as I saw myself surrounded by a crowd of people on the outside of the fence,pointing and jeering at me.I tried not to let them show I was affected but I blushed anyway,my face burning and turning a bright red.Was this the real reason Pein led me up here on this mountain?To get taunted and humiliated before I am killed?

I looked around and saw about ten rain ninja surrounding me,waiting for something,weapons in hand.l figured out the real reason Pein had sent me here before he had even announced it.I was to fight to the death here and hopefully be killed.

Chapter 1-Anguish,Part 2


I heard Pein's voice say to the crowd

"Now it is time for me state the rules of this 'execution'.Our challenger,Hatake Kakashi,otherwise known as the Copy Ninja,has to defeat all the opponents we send out to him.If he wins,he will not be killed and has to exit the village,alone,never to come back.If he loses,he will be dead.Also,he cannot receive any help whatsoever.If he does,that person will automatically be exiled from Konoha.Now let the challenge commence!"

Two of the ninjas charged me,kunai in hand,thinking they could win.The crowd went into a frenzy,screaming and hooting wildly.Sadly,I had nothing to fight with,no armor or clothing to shield me from their attacks,and I had also done back breaking labor before I got up here,making me exhausted and nearly out of chakra.I jumped out of the way,only to be faced with another ninja at my back.

"This is really bad!I need to think of a plan...."I thought,relentlessly dodging enemy attacks and ninjutsus.But I saw nothing that would help me here.No advantages that I had over my opponents,no weaknesses that I could exploit.I sighed,resignedly and ducked out of the way as another ninja swiped at me with a kunai.I kicked him under his trailing foot,sending him falling to the ground,and quickly smashed his nose with a one-two punch,feeling the cartilage move aside and watching the blood drip down his face.The crowd hooted,jumping up and down waiting for more action.

The other ninja in back of me sensed that I was off my guard and tried to plunge a kunai my back leg.I turned around, avoiding the hit and accidentally slipped on the wet muddy ground,spraining my left ankle and leaving me spread eagled on the ground.Quickly,I tried to scramble to my feet,but I took a stinging hit on the side of my right leg,from my thigh to my knee,leaving a small trail of blood running down onto the ground,staining it a dark brown color.

"Shit!" I swore,seeing that I was wounded so early in the fight.I pivoted on my left leg,it swaying dangerously,and gave the man a roundhouse kick to the face,stunning him momentarily.My left leg buckled,forcing me down to one knee.I saw out of the corner of my eye,two ninja preparing to charge at me and I rolled sloppily out of the way,coating part of the left side of my back and ankle in the mud.

"I need to be careful...conserve my chakra,can't use too many ninjutsu, and watch out for the enemy.This is going to be difficult but I think I can handle it." I said as I saw the two ninja try to attack me again simultaneously.

This whole fight is going to be mainly taijutsu with a few spurts of ninjutsu here and there,so don''t expect much.

Chapter 1-Anguish,Part 3

I waited until they were three feet from me,then I tucked my knees under my body and jumped up.My legs uncoiled like a spring and kicked them simultaneously in the face,making them fall backward on their butts.I sensed the other ninja behind me preparing to charge again,so I curled into a fetal position,and he tripped over me,bowling into his two stunned comrades.I chuckled and stood up,my left leg out at an angle.

Better make it count...This is all I can do."I thought to myself,making the hand signs for a Raikiri.I dashed toward the three dazed ninja and quickly killed them with a few well placed thrusts,ending their lives.I looked around and saw a couple more ninja come at me,slower than the first group.Also I noticed that more ninja were filling in for the ones I had killed,about five more.

"Agh...I can't keep this up forever." I thought as I saw a ninja make some hand signs.The rain stopped suddenly,then became small drops of hail,about the size of a quarter,and they were all aimed in my direction!I dodged and rolled around,trying to avoid the hail while taking care not to push my injured leg.I did alright,considering my condition, and took a few stinging hits on my arms and back,blood oozing down my body and mixing with the rain on the ground,making the mud a redish-brown color.

Panting,I ran toward the ninja who had just cast the jutsu,hoping to attack him and disrupt the flow of hail.I lunged out with my fist,trying to hit him with a right cross,but he stopped the jutsu,taking out a shuriken adn threw it in my direction,thinking I was too close to dodge it.I slid underneath the man,my legs straight out,the mud speeding my momentum,and kicked his legs out from under him,sending him sprawling to the ground.I turned over and rolled on top of him,my legs finding his neck and squeezed,trying to stop his airflow.He kept resisting,punching me in the stomach and other places,but I did not relent,and waited until he lay limp beneath me until I rolled off of him,bile in my throat.

I puked on the ground,panting.The crowd kept cheering,but I ignored them,trying to pick out the voice that I so dearly wanted to hear.I couldn't hear it,but I did hear Naruto and Sakura,egging me on.I turned around and saw that two ninja were being detained by a floating sword and a boy,about sixteen,his twin katanas weaving and twirling in an grand demonstration of swordsmanship.He wore a black jacket and pants,similar to Naruto.Then it hit me!It was Codi,so much like my student,Naruto.I don;t know him that well,but I had assigned him missions,back when I was Hokage, and have been on a few missions with him also.

A saw him quickly dispatch his opponents,trails of blood splattering on the ground,and saw him walk over to me.He extended his hand,and I took it,thanking him.I asked

"Why?We barely know each other...why would you do this for me?"

He smiled and answered

"Why?I don't need a reason why to help out a comrade,even if it costs me my life."

and turned back to the fight,both blades drawn,and ran toward the nearest group of ninjas,screaming wildly.I nodded,and looked toward the the other swordplayer,to see how she was doing.

She was doing okay,having killed two of her opponents and concentrated on her third,his sword sending up sparks whenever the two collided .I saw three more ninja come up from behind and was about to yell an warning,but she roared and sent a stream of black chakra their way,sending them flying through the air,about ten feet away.The other ninja seeing her distracted,tried to plunge his sword into her chest.Codi was too far away and distracted,having two ninja in front of him to fight and another advancing toward his back.I knew I couldn't get there in time with my sprained ankle,so I tried to cry out a warning,but it was too late.

My mind registered the scene in slow-motion,I was oblivious to everything else.I saw the sword pass slowly through her chest,her scream of anguish and pain tearing my heart in two.Her sword,ever so slowly,slipped from her feeble grasp and fell to the ground,clanging.I saw the man's sword finish its thrust and burst out of her chest,the tip stained with her blood,opening a hole and making blood fly everywhere.Then the sword went back out,the pointed tip dripping with blood that fell onto the floor.Then ever so slowly,Magiwa,my wife and lover,the one person I had vowed to save and have her not end up like all the others,fell to the floor,clutching her chest,blood dripping out of her mouth.

Chapter 2-Despair,Part 1

My mind was focused on one thought at that time as I looked that man,who I believed had just killed my wife, in the eye.Vengeance.I ran toward the man,a Raikiri in my right hand,and thrust it into his chest and through his body before he could even blink.Panting,for that last jutsu had cost me much,I knelt down in front of Magiwa and turned her body over,wanting to inspect the damage.

Her eyes were closed and she felt cold,not freezing,but pretty cold.Her skin was pale and she was shaking.Luckily for her,the thrust had missed her heart by mere inches and went into her lung instead,her chest pumping furiously,trying to get oxygen into her body.I put my ear to her mouth,wanting to make sure she was breathing properly.Her breath came in short,rapid gasps,her heart pumping erratically.I thought

"If her breathing continues like this,she'll die.",and opened her mouth wider with my right hand,my left hand glowing white.I pinched her nose,making her breathing even more erratic,and put my mouth on top of hers,my left hand slowly trying to heal the wound.I timed my exhales as soon as she started to inhale,making her breathing clam down and become less frantic.I sniffed the air,worried,as new smells came at me.

Of course the five enemy ninjas standing nearby weren't just going to let a chance like this pass them by.I was distracted,trying to help my injured comrade and also defenseless,the white chakra blade lying far away,where I would not be able to reach it in time.Also,my regular chakra was nearly gone,leaving no room for a ninjutsu counterattack,and I was busy using the last of my white chakra to help my wife,so this would be the perfect opportunity for them to catch me off guard.

Finished with the healing,I dropped down to all fours,dizzy from the exhaustion and puked again,my body trembling and feeling weak.To make matters worse,the dysentery came back in full force,causing me to fall to the ground and roll of off Magiwa,screaming my lungs out,my bowels on fire,as the illness hit me.The ninja had decided to try to attack by then,two of them coming at me from the right,two from the left and one from behind.

Sadly,I was in no position to fight them off,still clutching my stomach and rolling on the ground screaming.They came closer,waiting to get in a few close ranged strikes,which would be more effective than just throwing ninja weapons.I still wasn't ready,the last remnants of the attack still causing me pain as I tried to sit up.However,Codi,having dispatched his three opponents, was ready.

Chapter 2 Despair,Part 2

Codi quickly made some hand signs with his left hand and made a Rasengan with his right hand.He ran toward the nearest pair of ninja and slammed both of the attacks in their faces,yelling

"Chidengan!!"

The blast from the two combined jutsu,set them both flying away,hair on end,in a bloodied and crumpled heap near the fence's east wall.I groaned and tried to stand up,my legs feeling like jelly,so wobbly that I feared that they wouldn't support my weight.My legs were okay though,and I quickly grabbed the sword and stood next to my wife,getting ready to protect her from any oncoming attacks.

I watched,mesmerized as Codi killed one of the men on the right with a quick combo from his two katanas.I couldn't finish watching the fight because a sound behind me and to the right got my attention.I heard the soft footfalls of a ninja,along with Magiwa's steady breathing,and I spun around,a ninja holding Magiwa by the neck.The ninja grinned confidently and said

"Now,drop your weapon and---"

he never got to finish his sentence,Magiwa's clawed hand snapping up to his own neck and crushing his windpipe,making his last few words end in a faint wheeze.The ninja let go,promptly falling to the floor,dead, and Magiwa confidently landed on the floor,her eyes searching the room for more opponents.She,or should I say it,since the demon is in control,howled and charged off into the rain,hoping to find something to kill.

I ran and followed after her,worried that the demon had taken total and complete possession of her body,and I slipped on the mud,twisting my already sprained ankle.I cried out in pain and limped on,my worries for her outweighing the pain and humiliation I now felt as the crowd watching me laughed,whooping and hooting for more.

Chapter 2 Despair,Part 3

I gritted my teeth against the nauseating pain from my twisted ankle,every step sending waves of pain up my leg.I saw her far away in the distance,fighting enemies with abandon,black spouts of chakra blowing them away from time to time.I stopped and coughed,the blood on my hand getting washed away by the torrential downpour,and moved on,my vision blurring slightly and my body shivering.

As I moved closer I noticed that Magiwa's appearance had changed.Her ears were pointed at the ends,somewhat resembling an elf from those fantasy novels she liked to read,and they had little tufts of black-ish gray hair that sprouted at the tips.She turned toward me,her eyes boring into mine.And what evil eyes they were!They were not the loving and gentle eyes that I knew and loved,nor the eyes that scolded me when I did something wrong or the playful eyes that sprouted with joy when they saw me coming.These eyes were huge,about the size of oranges,and completely black,save for a small white spot that was slitted,like a lizard or a cat,that scrutinized me completely,laying down every emotion I felt at this moment and showing them out to me.

At this particular moment,I felt fear.Fear that she would be stuck like this forever,fear that the village would fall into total chaos,fear that our children would be poor beggars at Pein's hands or even dead,and fear that I was going to die right then and there.I eliminated my fear quickly,though,and took my gaze away from her eyes,staring at her face.

Her incisors had gotten even larger now,about 2 feet long,blood covering the ends and dripping down her chin,to be licked up by her tongue.Her cheeks were covered in layers of whiskers,where before they had been smooth as a baby's skin.Her nose protruded from her face,and was shaped a little like a dog's,big and snout like.Her hair stuck out at odd angles and streaks of white and sliver appeared here and there.She growled,showing off her pointy teeth and tackled me the ground,sending me flying backwards,her on top of me.

"Is this her or the demon?" I thought to myself,not sure whether to fight back or do nothing.

Chapter 3-Escape,Part 1

She punched me again and again,making my arms ache with the strain of blocking her punches.They were stronger than anything a regular human could throw.I groaned,my body slowly starting to give up under the weight of her pummeling and said,

"Oi!Stop it!OI!Can you hear me!?"

She did stop for a minute,to laugh in my face and say in a grizzly,deep voice

"It's too late!Idiot,your words are futile."

She pummeled me again,making me cough up more blood,my hands limp at my sides.I said

"Please...stop it!I can't....take...*cough* much more of.....*hack* *cough*this...in my con....*hack* c-condition.Please...no more..*cough*."

She stopped,her expression softening,her features becoming more human-like,but she growled again.I knew how to stop her now.I said

"Magiwa...*cough*...please stop it.Why....*hack*....*cough* are you doing this?Don't you...love me?I know....you do...*cough*.Please...I love you...*hack*No more..*cough*Magiwa..."

and fell limp.

Chapter 3-Escape,Part 2

I felt the wind on my face and opened my eyes.Through half closed slits I could see trees moving very rapidly.My tired eyes then began to close again...

I opened my eyes to see a starry sky.I groaned,trying to position myself better and found myself lying in a hole,about three feet deep.I sluggishly moved my arms out from underneath my body and found that I was wearing a new uniform,minus the regular vest,and it was white.I saw that dirt surrounded me,and I heard voices.

"I-i can't believe it!I k-killed him.I actually k-killed him!" The voice broke off into sobs and then stopped for a moment.I heard shuffling and another voice yell

"Don't even think about it!It wasn't your fault he died,anyway.You have nothing to be ashamed of.He died an honorable death,like a Konoha shinobi would."

I was confused.They were talking about me like I was dead!I felt my body and pinched it in places,the pain telling me that I was truly alive.I groaned again this time,a bit louder to attract attention and their voices started up again.

"What was that?"

I heard more shuffling and footsteps.Then I saw Magiwa's tear streaked head appear over the lip of the hole.I smiled and said weakly

"Can you please get me out of this hole?It is getting uncomfortable in here."

before the words had even left my mouth,Magiwa was already pulling me out of the hole,wrapping me in a tight hug.She shot an angry glance toward Codi,who shrugged and said

"What?I thought he was dead.Not my fault...."

We all chuckled at that,then she dragged me over to their little makeshift camp,laying me down next to the campfire.She laid down beside me and put her arms around me,hugging me again.I smiled and asked

"Where are we?Why did we leave and how?"

Codi sighed and explained it all to me,my eyes falling weary by the end of the tale.When he was finally done,I asked

"What about you now?What are you going to do?"

"Me?I am going to train and become the greatest ninja swordsman in fire country!Then I will go back you with you,if we ever meet again,to help you kill Pein and free Konoha."

I nodded,stifling a yawn,my eyelids slowly closing shut,and let my exhaustion take me,Magiwa still cradled around my neck.

Chapter 4-Renewal

I ducked and dodged,evading my opponent's numerous sword swipes.He growled at me and charged again,this time trying to hit me with a left right,down sword swipe combo.I evaded the other two,then sidestepped the downward swing,giving him a roundhouse kick to his back left leg.He barely moved at all,only a few inches,if anything.He laughed and taunted me saying,

"Was that all you got?I hope not,if you have to face me!'Cause I float like a butterfly and sting like a bee!Now try to dodge this!If you can't...well I'm sure you'll be sorely missed."

He said,activating his chakra shroud.I jumped back as he charged,his six tails flying in the air,and hit him with a thrust in the gut.Then I roundhoused him in the face,barely doing anything,but distracting him for a few seconds.Those few seconds were all I needed.He blinked as I came at him,right hook,left thrust and headbutted him in his face.Blood poured out of his nose,making him very angry.I ignored the many beads of sweat pouring down my face and said

"Do you give up?You know what will await you if you go on...."

He nodded,our stomachs growling and responded,

"Yeah,man,that fight was tight.You actually beat me,the Kirabee!I hope bro has some good food for us,I'm starving!"

breaking out of his annoying rhyming habit.We sheathed our swords and walked out of the dojo,going into the Raikage's house,hoping to find food waiting for us on the table.There was food,lots of food.Suddenly I was plowed to the ground,someone on top of me.I groaned and said

"C'mon,honey!Can I eat before you attack me?"

Magiwa giggled and said,

"Fine.How did it go today guys?Is Kakashi getting better at swordplay,Mr.Kirabee?"

getting off of me and sitting next to me,her arm across my neck.Kira nodded,his mouth full of food.He swallowed,a great lump going down this throat,and said

"Yup!He is doing good.Very good compared to when you two first came here."

and took out a piece of paper,jotting something down.we groaned,knowing it was another one of his rhymes.Being down with my second helping of food,hoping to get out of helping him with his rhyming,I looked out the window and said

"*Yawwwn* It's getting late.Magiwa and I were thinking of going to bed now.See you tomorrow,same time,same place?For one last battle before we go?"

Kira nodded and we walked out of the room,sighing.Magiwa laughed and said

"Even though we've know him for ten years he still confuses me."

I nodded in agreement saying,

"Yes,but the training we have both gotten from him has helped us profoundly.Hopefully we can help free Konoha....."

Shiiiiit, I forgot about this one! School and stuff and my other FF's....... I apologize to those you who have actually remember this/ just gotten into this fic.......Here's a quickie for ya!

Chapter 5- Unexpected Occurrence, Part 1

I opened my eyes with a start. What just happened? Cold sweat trickled down my forehead and the bedsheets stuck to my shirtless back as I rolled over, my feet lightly thumping on the cold wooden floor. I looked over my shoulder, expecting to find Magiwa sleeping peacefully , but she was not there. Hearing a muffled cry, I immediately ran out of the bedroom and toward the sound, my feet thumping as I ran. Skidding into the hallway, I crashed into a door that was open, my body slamming to the ground with a loud thwack.

Idiot! I need to be more careful....... I berated myself, slowly attempting to get up off the floor. Making sure everything was intact, I ran on, guided by the faint sound of running footsteps. I kept running until I got near the outside of our little apartment, near our living room. I stopped as I saw a figure, their body dimly illuminated by the moonlight coming form a nearby window. I gasped out loud, thinking

Dammit! I thought the white chakra...........What the--

and quickly jumped back as a hand tried to rake my face, nearly missing by inches. I swore, and gathered up white chakra in my palm, charging at the thing. It anticipated my attack however, and lunged out of the way, landing on the nearby sofa. Frowning, I tried again, this time jumping in the air. It connected and creature howled in pain, black smoke rising up from its right arm, where I had slashed it. While it was distracted, I charged up another strike, smacking it in the chest and sending it flying through the window, the panes giving me small cuts on my neck and chest.

I jumped after it, watching it splash as it hit the water. Cold went though my body as I plunged into the small lake, chilling my bones to the core. It was not affected however, and it bit me on the leg, causing me to open my mouth in pain, and forcing me to swallow a huge mouthful of water. I quickly swam up to the surface, my head quickly clearing the surface. I took some quick gulps of air and turned around, when I felt something claw at my leg. I screamed out in pain, the chakra burning my leg and sending dark drops of blood into the water.

It quickly pulled me under again, this time grabbing onto both of legs and slamming me downward, deeper into the icy coldness of the lake. It roared, How can it survive without air? and I felt my lungs start to give way.....then slowly blackness entered my vision.

Ch5, Part 2

I struggled to stay conscious, kicking out with my feet. I need to get out the water! I thought as I concentrated chakra on my right hand,making ti glow with a fierce white light, illuminating the depths of the small lake. I instinctively threw my hand up in front of my face, just as something black flashed in front of my eyes. I heard a hiss as the white chakra connected with it arm, and heard it scream as a black substance, which I now knew was its blood, flowed in front of me.

What the hell is this thing........no, it couldn't be...?Damn! This is really bad!

I quickly jabbed it in the chest, killing it. Quickly, I swam up to the surface and jumped out of the lake, panting. Hearing a shuffling sound, I quickly turned around and sent out a line of white of chakra, lighting up the area momentarily with a flash. I gasped, seeing that there was more of them. I swore as I saw yet another one come toward me form the left, its arm raking the air in front of my face. I stumbled a little, blood oozing out of my cheek where the thing had clawed me.

I screamed as white hot pain went across my cheek, burning my face and leaving me open to another attack from the thing in front. Luckily, I had enough of my wits left to jump over the creature's arm as it attacked. I ran as fast as I could thinking

Now where could it be........? I have to find before--

"Agghh!" My back erupted in pain as I felt something hot as molten metal scrape along my back, sending me flying into the ground, skidding on the soft dirt. I groaned, and quickly got back up, running at full speed toward the thing, white chakra in my hand. Shouting in combination of rage and pain I plunged my hand into the black creature's chest, grimly grinning with satisfaction as I felt my hand go through its chest.I watched it fall down slowly in a puddle, staining the bottoms of my feet black and making them cold with its blood. My smile went even wider as I saw a few of its comrades back away in fear, making me yell

Ch.5,Part 3

"*pant* *pant*.......how many more...about three. Alright, I think I can take them. Then.........." I mumbled in an undertone, forming my strategy, and quickly made hand signs,my hands working furiously in a blur.Pulling them around my chest, I screamed

"Light Style: Shockwave of Dissonance!"

and swung them out wide, a huge blast of white chakra taking three of the newcomers and tearing their bodies off at the mid-section, killing them instantly and spraying the ground with their dark fluids. The shockwave also erupted behind me, taking part of the house with it,making the walls crumble and trees fall. Hearing movement to my right, I ducked in time to see a claw swoop past my head, taking some of hair with it. I rolled out of the way and sprinted toward the thing, making even more hand signs, my right hand glowing a bright,pure, white.

I grabbed the thing in the chest and started pulling on it with my right hand. Slowly the dark energy surronding the creature began to disappear, showing the telltale signs of a human body underneath its demonic skeleton. I swore, and let the human corpse drop at my feet, thinking

It's worse than I thought. It's coming back for REAL this time! Damn it, of all the times for this to happen!Right in the middle--

"Fuck!" I cursed,putting a hand to my left leg, wincing as I felt a small pain come from the wound. Gripping my leg tightly, I pulled out the thing that had stung me and saw that it was a kunai, covered in dark chakra. I turned around and saw a figure standing there.

They raised a hand and all the demons instantly froze, turning towards the figure. The figure then spoke in a foreign language, in a gravelly cold voice,freezing the marrow in my bones. Raising it's arm and pointing its index finger at me, it said in Japanese

"Fool, you thought you could hide from us forever? No one gets away from the Fading Light! We warned you, and now you pay the price...kukukuku! Now that we have all the---"

His speech was interrupted by a ringing noise. Taking a cell phone from his pocket he flipped it upwards and shouted,

"What? What is it now!? Can't you idiots do ANYTHING for five seconds without having to call me? Damn it, now you've wasted all my minutes!Argh, when I get back home, you are ALL going to get it!!"

Is this guy serious? C'mon.......a cell phone? *sigh*

I thought, watching him continue to shout into the phone for another three minutes before turning his attention back to me.

"YES, because I said so! Now shut up and goodbye, you are ruining my moment of greatest triumph!"

He screamed again into the phone, shutting it off with click and putting ii back under the folds of a black robe. Sighing he put his head in his hand saying

"What bunch of idiots....I need better help.Anyway.....ah-ha! Now that we have all the Yin chakra we need from that blasted bijuu container, we can destroy the world!!"

"Wait a minute", I said "Why only Yin chakra?"

"Because, you idiot, Yang chakra is good chakra, right? We need an army of evil if we are going to destroy the Five Great Nations and start the world anew! Now that there is no Akatsuki, or Yuugata,o r whatever it is called, we--"

"Wait, Yuugata is gone?" I asked, curious about this new development

"Boy, are you out of the loop! They have been dead for three years now. Some ninja tag-team called the "Sliver Moon" and "Dark Light" single handedly defeated them. They must be pretty powerful kids, as I hear they were only thirteen at the time!"

"But never mind that, you won't be able to do anything about it once I'm done with you!"

The cloaked man cried, dashing toward me from his hiding place and drawing a double bladed sword.

Short one tonight!

Ch. 5, Part 4

I quickly picked up the kunai and swung it up in one fluid motion,grinning with satisfaction as I saw sparks fly from the contact of the two blades.

"So, not as fast as you once were, I see? This is what you get for tampering with Yin chakra!" I gloated, my eyes watching to see what move he would make next. He just grunted in reply and titled his blade downward, the upper half heading for my arm while the lower half of the blade was trying to cut my lower left ankle. I jumped back, kunai in a ready position and said

"C'mon, is that it?"

This doesn't feel right........is he....playing with me?

I thought as I looked around, for he had suddenly disappeared. Hearing something to my right, I quickly swung the kunai in a huge horizontal arc, making more sparks fly from his blade. He didn't say anything this time, just grinned and continued to press me again. Slowly, as my feet started to slide backward, a look of cocky arrogance appeared on his face.

He IS playing with me! What new power could he have gotten from before I wonder...he was hard to defeat alone three years ago and I had Magiwa's help that time. Speaking of her, where the heck could she have gone? This whole situation is very awkward.......

"Gah!"


I pulled back, my hand was just pierced through my right palm, leaving a dime sized hole in the middle, causing me to drop the kunai with a loud clang. My opponent took advantage of my weakness and proceeded to stab me again, this time in the abdomen. I screamed with pain, the cut leaving a long scrap from hip to hip, but luckily the cut was not deep. I stumbled backwards, and into the arms of one of his waiting servants. I screamed again, the feel of their claws was like hot metal coursing through my body.

I have been getting lazy.These three years of peace has made me weak....

I thought, gritting my teeth against the pain. I looked up to see the man standing over me, his sword at my throat. He was not looking at me however, but at someone off to the side. I turned my head and saw a black shape there. At first, I though it was one of his Yin demons, but upon closer inspection, I saw that it was actually Magiwa, her body covered in the Juubi's zero-tailed cloak. Her eyes were normal though, and her body not contorted by the chakra, so she must have been using it out of exhaustion, not anger.
