I didn't realize Vol. 31 was out until I was at Border's, getting a book for an English assignment, when I saw it there on the shelf and spazzed out. Then I begged my dad to buy it for me. XD

I don't mind it when Deidara gets whored out, mostly because he does have quite a few possible pairings. SasoDei, DeiTobi, DeiIta, DeiGaa... etc.

People may see characters in different ways, but Deidara is definitely one of the more masculine characters (like the other Deidara rant said, he got two arms blown off and was more preoccupied with finding them then the excruciating pain I'm sure he was going through), despite his hair and girly shirt, and it's sad that people tend to judge a lovable asshole into a weepy uke. I tend to favor DeiSaso nowadays just because Deidara tends to be way more in character then, but usually they manage to keep Sasori intact also.

I don't tend to like most Deidara pairings, but that's just personal preferences. I don't know, I've read one SasoDei story, actually my favorite one, where they're both really IC for me. Granted, it's not quite sex, but it did a really good job. But yeah, for the most part it's hard to make any of the male ninja an uke without distorting their personality.

Whenever I try to read a shipping I don't particularly care for and I'm in a bad mood, it makes me dislike the shipping more. Honestly, I'm trying to get myself to like DeiSaku, because I love Sakura as a character, and I think they could be great friends in AU situations, but for some reason I can't actually see them as a couple. It's probably the fact that my mind is very narrow, and doesn't accept most pairings besides SasoDei. Except, for some strange reason, ItaSaso and DeiGaa, which I ship also. I already kinda knew that their sleeping arrangements would be different. I always figured that they lived completely separate from each other, based on the fact that when they got together for the first time at the end of part one, Hidan(?) remarked on the fact that they hadn't all been together since Orochimaru left them. :/ So it didn't surprise me too much.

I don't think Sasori can eat, but it would be interesting to see what Kishimoto writes for it.

Although based on what Jiraiya said (the Akatsuki were all a huge group doing small missions but then broke off into pairs of twos), I'm guessing they must have originally lived together. Also, the Akatsuki seemed to know eachother (like when Deidara argued with Hidan-well, ignored him while Hidan made comments- and warned Kakuzu), so I'm sure they had missions together too.

I wish Kishimoto would give a detailed timeline of events (if he himself has one :urahaha). I get lost often, lol.

You can see that Chiyo does not feel the same. There must be a reason for her to feel that praise and celebration is not suited to this win.

We know that Sasori can instantly teleport himself into another puppet. If he saw the attack coming, but still remained in the puppet, it shows that this attack need not have been the fatal blow.

Now look at Sakura's expression. She now understands the circumstances in which they won, and why celebration is not fitting of this battle. She knows now that Sasori could have survived that attack.

This is the mangaka's way of telling us Sasori should have won. It is a clever technique for Kishi to use Sakura's expression and reaction, to avoid explaining, which should be, the obvious.
