On topic:

Well personally, Sasori and Deidara are an extraodinary team. Both together with their own ideas, their own taste of art and what they believe art to be like. Sasori loves art which stays for eternity, Deidara loves art that goes with an explosive ending.

I find it ironic that both (sadly) died with their art, Sasori saying he's forever young and will always live like an immortal and his art failed him. Deidara adores his art and I find it so sad how he used his own art to kill himself (all thanks to Sasuke:mad)

The fact that Deidara refers to him as "Sasori no danna" or just "Sasori-danna" (which I like better:love) is a sign of respect, sure Sasori doesn't return that same respect, but that's because he's a puppet with no emotions. Something tells me that he's just playing hard to get sometimes, if he didn't care why would he wait for Deidara when he said he didn't like waiting, yet he did for the blond.

Deidara is this energictic and emotional character, he lives for his art and loves his art. I'd go back to the manga and check out some more things about them, even if they're cannon or not they make an awesome pairing. Deidara as this lovable person as he just glomps and cuddles Sasori, while Sasori being un-emotional, but secretly enjoying his time with Deidara.

I wrote my feelings about SasoDei in my blog a long time back. Very lengthy.

in this pairing, sasori is the seme and deidei is the uke. It makes more sense coz dei looks so feminine, and is younger than sasori. Dei also calls sasori danna which means master (but it also can mean husband!). both are artists too. that’s why in the world of fandom, this pair is rather popular among all the other akatsuki pairings. I really love this pairing too, have recently made it my avatar! However, in the manga and anime, their arguments seem to be rather serious and heated up, unlike the deitobi arguments that are more playful and funny. I also wish sasori would be more talkative, less edgy and less impatient in the manga. Well, at least he talks more than itachi-the-weasel.

Sasori is really an intriguing character. He looks so innocent and childlike, but his art is dark and sick. He makes puppets out of his victims, getting rid of their innards, cleaning them, assembling them, using wood to make them sturdier. On the manga, he seems to get rather angry with dei often, and his anger isn’t like the deitobi kinda anger (i.e. comedic), it is like I am really gonna kill you kind of anger.

Thanks goodness for fandom! In most of the fanfics that I have read, sasori appears to have a little more of a human side than what was depicted in the manga. And the beautiful thing is, prior to knowing deidei, sasori had no feelings, coz he is after all, a puppet, so he cant taste, cant feel, doesn’t eat nor drink, doesn’t sleep, and is immortal. This follows his reasoning that art is eternal. He made himself a puppet in order to be immortal, therefore, he is himself is eternal and is a work of art. However, when deidei came along, somehow, he managed to awaken some feelings within sasori, feelings that sasori thought he was incapable of experiencing due to his puppet form. Sasori of course denied such feelings as much as his could, only to relent at the very end and admit to deidei that the latter is important to him. awww!

I also wrote something about Sasori some time back. I need to find the post. It's about why he didn't manage to avoid Chiyo's final attack on him.:cry

Found it! Wrote it mid last year.

I guess he joined akatsuki to strengthen his puppet jutsu skills, and also to run away from the bad memories that were haunting him while he was in Suna (i.e. his parents’ death, sand’s teachings). He probably saw akatsuki as a way to weaken the last strands of humanity in him, by undertaking more evil missions and becoming more evil in the process.

He did seem surprised when Zetsu told the leader that Chiyo was among those heading to the hideout. But I guess that was just a momentarily sense of nostalgia coz soon after he reverted back to his normal, cold self.

I guess throughout the fight, he was also fighting his inner demons, by not allowing his feelings to surface and affect the fight. He did this by focusing on his main objectives, which were basically to get rid of chiyo and sakura.

However, when his parents came ‘flying’ towards him, his feelings took over and that was when he faltered. That move reminded him of what he wanted since he was a child, to be embraced by both parents and to feel their love. Basically, it reminded him of that scene in his flashback where he was controlling both his parents to hug him. That want was so strong that it took over his senses and caused him to lose his guard.

Hence, I do not think that he just realized this in the last moment. Throughout the fight, he has been fighting to contain those resurging feelings and memories. Why did he choose to fight his feelings? He wanted to prove to himself that he is no longer that needy little boy who longed for his parents. He didn’t want those bad memories to haunt him anymore. However, chiyo’s last move reminded him so much about his deep seated longing for his parents love. That sudden resurgence of feelings took over his senses. At that very split second, he lost sight of his main goal (to kill both ladies), and that caused him to falter. This, unfortunately, led to his demise.

It is seriously the best SasoDei fic I have ever read, and it was this fic that made me like SasoDei. Her other works are really good too, mostly SasoDei too.:nod

That sucks about the whole Yaoi being hated and all, most people can stand Shounen-Ai because it's manly boyXboy romance cause that's what it mainly is about. Shounen-Ai consists of hugs, kisses, and cuddling while Yaoi contains hardcore sex and smutt. I like both though, but it's really irritating that other look low on it.

Which is why I'm glad I don't have friends here in New York City, no seriously I actually don't have friends so I don't really care what the people say. It's my interest and if I like it then I shouldn't let anyone tell me this or not, I can't let their words affect me.

Take it from me, lot of people in forums bash at me for liking NejiHina. Trust me, it's not gonna stop me from adoring it and loving it. If I like it then I'll continue no matter what other tell me or say about the coupling. Sure I get upset, but I also talk back to shut the fuck up.

It was a very good post though, it's just unfortunate how people can discriminate others only because we like a certain pairing of the same gender. I can relate to him though, I wasn't homophobic back then I just found it strange and awkward.

I admit I wasn't a Yaoi fan at first, I used to think that it was disgusting and that it wouldn't make sense. Now that I got involved in and learned about yaoi pairing I decided to give it a chance, what I didn't realize is that I was going to be hooked on it. Now that I am I feel very proud and happy that I did give it a chance rather than ignoring it.
