Topic Topic what to discuss. How about Sakura realizing She loves Naruto. Will she come to terms with that in the Manga soon remember when Yamato was going to tell her. That her feelings for the blonde were of love. Till blondie woke up. I wonder she will admit these feelings later in the manga when Naruto is on the verge of death.

This depends if Naruto and Sakura even get together. (unless you mean their relationship in general... If so, then I think Team 7 will go back to the way things were before Sasuke left) Right now, saving him comes first. I see many people say that NaruSaku is centered around Sasuke, and that maybe true... But I think that's a good thing. Because while they want to save Sasuke they're also bonding and getting closer to each other.

For example... When my grandpa died I was depressed. My other (guy)friend had lost his mother. We weren't going out or anything (and still aren't...), but because we both had similiar pains we were able to understand each other. :nod And we got closer.

You know, I never understood that "NaruSaku is based around Sasuke" arguement. Actually, I don't see how ANY pairing can be based around ANYONE, except maybe their child (which doesn't apply in this case). They're both trying to save him, but they deeply care for each other on an individual level as well. It's not like if Sasuke died they would suddenly become enemies.

...hhmm...well, both did want Sasuke back. so, I think both of them wanted it back the way it was, only, actually, not even like that. Because then, they all wanted to be friendds with each other and thats what they were (except the connection between Naruto and Sakura) but they want to make that up, and know each other more and stop having the really bad relationship they did. So, they both just wan6ted Sasuke to come back to the good side and fight everyone together with him as friends, not aqaintences, nor people who act as enemies to each other. The only thing that they want the same iis being back together.

In the friendship department I can see him helping it grow stronger in a indirect way by being in a situation where he requires saving and Naruto and Sakura both would encourage and put all their trust in the other to help Sasuke and work as a team or something (though in a way that's happen before). But in the romance department, well she might struggle a bit with old and new feelings but if she choose Naruto it would be because it was her own choice not because Sasuke sat down had a talk with her about her feelings (snort).

As for another topic, I was wondering since Naruto's feelings for Sakura have already been explored a bit (he seems to still feel a little something beyond friendship for her) that if Naru/Saku did happen would it be because Sakura came out with the confession first since Naruto does not want to push her in anyway with his feelings?

Well Krimson, it could be like that: Sasuke is sort of the "kiddie who has big-boo boo and needs taking care of and guidance" and that is where Naruto and Sakura come in (the "parents"). I am just saying though, because it seemed that later on as Sakura kept on worrying about Sasuke it seemed like a motherly love for Sasuke instead, since she has not been shown that later on, she was attracted to his real self when things got bad.

Either way, I know she still deeply cares about Sasuke, but we have no evidence that she still loves him that way in part II. Just like with Naruto, she is mysterious, we have to keep on looking out for what she thinks about Naruto.

Also I agree with what you said about Sakura developing motherly instincts torwards Sasuke around/after the Chunnin exams since she started to worry more about his health than winning his heart as time went by.
Also I think Sakura felt she was useless to people when it came to being a shinobi but helpful when it came to nurturing and taking care of others and since Sasuke was showing the most visible problems at the time he was the person she felt she could be the most useful to.

It was also meant as a retaliation against the posts that anti-NarutoxSakura people are saying about how Naruto and Sakura are not being romantic, but more like siblings even though they have no proof of that. Some of them still insist that Naruto has a deeper bond with Hinata even though he has never sought her out before (neither has Hinata in part II) and in part II.....where is the bond? They do not have one, it could be possible but it looks very slim because Naruto and Sakura's relationship is growing as opposed to Naruto and Hinata's relationship (which is just a distant friendship relationship).

Naruto's bond with Hinata is about the same as his bond with anyone else on Team 8 or Team 10. The only reason people see it as "different" is because Hinata has a crush on Naruto, which says nothing about Naruto's feelings. :huh

Unfortunately, a good number of NarutoxHinata fans priotize the girl's feelings over the guy's feelings (which is unfair) and consider only the girl's feelings as true love. I look at everyone's feelings in Naruto and I just like NarutoxSakura more because look how much Naruto has proven that he likes Sakura by protecting her life from Gaara, learning to put her happiness over his own in the hospital scene, and gave her the promise of a lifetime.

Even now, one of his things that he wants to do said by Yamato, "If you want to see Sasuke. Do it with your own eyes, not the Kyuubi's. That is, if you truly want to save Sasuke! And, if you truly want to protect Sakura!" Even though, we do not know how Sakura feels yet, we see her run toward a Kyuubified Naruto to try to calm him down and she got hurt, and her actions did lead ripples of a solution when Naruto agreed that he will not use the Kyuubi anymore in order to protect Sakura as well. So, Sakura does have an effect on Naruto, even if she does not realize it.

I think it's pretty obvious that Sakura already loves Naruto, both Sai and Yamato commented on that very shortly after they met her, and Sakura didn't deny it either time, like she did in part 1 of the manga. In fact, when Yamato says it her eyes widened in a surprised realization, he didn't have to complete the phrase, she already knew what he was going to say about her feelings for Naruto. And this even before they encountered Sasuke.

Encountering Sasuke clearly made Sakura's evaluation change even more. She has begun to shut even concern for Sasuke out of her mind, and centered even more of her feelings of love on Naruto. Even to the point of overtly flirting with him in a subtly sexual way when she moved in to feed him the ramen.

Oh, and while that graphic was useful for Naruto's feelings it said almost nothing about anyone's feelings toward Naruto, nor for any other relationships- I noticed no lines between Shikamaru and Temari for example, and they certainly have a spark between them as well.

Sasuke's return I don't feel will have any effect on Naruto and Sakura's relationship. Sakura is quite clear in her mind now that Sasuke never had any feelings for her, and besides, she's thinks he's gay- and frankly Kishimoto is throwing plenty of rather clear hints that he is. ;) I think Konohamaru and Sakura have the right of it, Sasuke will possibly develop an attraction to Sai (something Sai seemed to find an appealing prospect ;) That would lead to a kind of fun Team 7, Naruto and Sakura, always trying to sneak in a make out session on missions, and Sasuke and Sai trying to outdo the other in trading insults. I could easily see Kishimoto make them a "legendary four" team of Jonins near the end of the series. Sakura and Naruto would also have a mocking nickname of the "legendary rabbit pair" because of their favorite pasttime ;)

Sai won't become a jonin. He's in AMBU after all. I guess he'll just go though their ranks going higher and higher each time. That's of course if he survives the series. What I hope to see at the end of this long tunnel that is created by complicated plot is Naruto and Sakura as a happy couple. One of the theories I came up with a while ago had to do with this. I believe that Kishi is going to draw a parallel between Sakura's romantic feelings and her genjutsu abilities.

In the beginning, Sakura developed a crush on Sasuke due to her own lack of self-confidence and her need to prove to everyone (and herself) that she's worth something. After she actually got to know Sasuke, she realized that he's not who she thought he was. But by then, she had already drilled the idea of "I love Sasuke" into her own mind, so she didn't (and maybe still doesn't) really question it. Basically, she's ignoring her true feelings and fooling herself.

Now, how does this relate to genjutsu? I think her ability in genjutsu is symbolic for her ability to analyze herself and her true feelings. It's been said many times in the manga that Sakura has great potential in genjutsu, yet ironically, she can't see through her own illusions about how she really feels. Once she's able to dispel illusions on the battlefield, she'll be able to see through the ones in her mind as well.

Or at least that's my theory. :laugh

No. Jonins are elites along normal shinobi and are the only ones to have A rank missions assigned to them. There are Tokubetsu Jonin which are Jonin that are specialized in certain tasks, for example Ebisu specializes in the private training of elite ninja and Hayate Gekko, Anko Mitarashi, Ibiki Morino and Genma Shiranui are examiners during the Chunin exams.

ANBU is a completely different league. Here's what AMBU is according to the information I found on Wikipedia:

The ANBU (暗部, The ANBU literally "Dark Side", Viz "Black Ops", English TV "ANBU Black Ops") is actually short for Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai (暗殺戦術特殊部隊, Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai literally Special Assassination and Tactical Squad). The name is a play on words, as in English acronyms like SWAT, where the two kanji used to abbreviate the group's full name constitute an actual word on their own. The ANBU wear porcelain animal masks, in order to distinguish themselves from normal shinobi and to conceal their identities. They also have standard uniforms consisting of black and grey armor, arm guards, and a signature spiral tattoo on their arms. Certain ANBU wear black cowls over their standard uniforms, and squad leaders may wear white cowls.

ANBU protect the village from exceptional threats, conduct high-risk missions into enemy countries, and deal with extremely strong (S-Rank) ninja. They are also responsible for carrying out assassinations and missions requiring specially trained ninja. He was likely passed through the Academy quite young like Kakashi and Itachi, far ahead of his age peers. This would have made the chance of him forming emotional attachments far less likely. Danzo would have gained control over him after graduation, maybe even leading his Genin team, certainly making sure whoever lead his team was a Root member. Once he passed the Chunin exam it would have been easy for Danzo bring him into Root as a "routine" promotion to Jonin that the Third would have just signed off on. It was at this point Sai was likely put on the team with the person he calls his brother. Despite Danzo's plans, it appears Sai did form some attachment to his "brother". Maybe his "brother" was kindhearted despite being in Root. Danzo appears to have used some sort of amnesia jutsu on Sai that has blocked out much of his memories as well as the emotions attached to them, but hasn't been able to shut out everything. I have a feeling that being around Naruto and Sakura will cause that jutsu to weaken and Sai will start to remember his family. I also think Danzo has some connection to the Uchiha family massacre. Itachi didn't "get strange" until after he had been in ANBU for about six months. He would have had interaction with Danzo.... It would have been quite convient for Danzo's plans if the Uchiha clan was out of the way, as they were Konoha's police force, and would have stood in his way.

That would mean he wasn't even a Genin. He learned everything in Root and wasraised by it.

I have a question. While I've been in the Forums for awhile, I still have a question about fanclubs.

Can ordinary members of a fanclub allow outsiders to join? Or can only selected fanclub members do the welcoming?

Maybe, it would be a good idea not to get into other fanclubs if it is against people's negative posts. Believe me, it takes me a lot of willpower not to lash outwardly against the stupid reasons why some of the anti-NarutoxSakura people are saying in that fanclub. I could get cornered if I do that. But what can you do?

Either way, Yamato never got to finish his speech anyway, but it does show that Sakura is at least showing the same care for Naruto as she did with Sasuke in part 1. The difference is that Sakura actually appreciates Naruto's character and personality.

In Naruto fandom, don't know. But other fandoms shipper or character fanclubs/mailing lists/forums, oh yeah. The Gambit Guild (for Gambit of X-men comics, but with a strong pro Gambit/Rogue shipper membership- about 90%) had well over 5,000 members at it's peak, and even now has over
2,000. A Spuffy (Spike and Buffy of BTVS fandom) forum I belonged to had over 10,000 members at it's peak- during season 7 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. When you get large groups like that the majority though just lurk, you might get 100 or so members that post semi regularly, and maybe about 30 more than once a day, and thats when you have a busy list. When it goes quiet (ie the character isn't being featured much in the stories for an extended period of time, with some doubt of when they will return), you'll lose some membership and postings will go down a lot. For example the Gambit Guild, right now, is more active on it's forum page than the mailing list. The later is down to around 1-2 posts total per week, the forum on the other hand is getting more. Once Gambit returns to the comic- some time this summer from what I've heard, the posts will jump back up.

Just a general overview for you of fairly typical fanclub membership behavior, no matter what the fandom is. Another example Spuffy fandom lists have recently picked up on fanfic and general posts because of Joss Whedon doing an official season 8 of Buffy in comic book form.

Nick could probably confirm whether or not that on weeks we get Narusaku that the posting numbers go up. I'd guess new members joining also jumps up around the times we get Narusaku in either the manga or anime. That's the general pattern in fandoms.

Sometimes even a really good fanfic series will also bring in new members, even if the fanclub doesn't post a link to the fanfic. (And even if the fanfic writer doesn't know of the shipper fanclub.) That happened a number of times in the Gambit Guild, and on Spuffy lists/forums as well. I'd almost bet it has for Narusaku as well. :)

Naruto's feelings for her have already been explored and it looks like after the "POALT" scene he's decided to back off bit. That's not to say that he's given up completly or anything, but he does not want to push her to much and therefore not make any major steps in their relationship that he felt she might not be ready for.

Sakura feelings for Naruto beyond a platonic level have only been hinted at a few times but nothing as explored as Naruto's feelings. If Naru/Saku is the pairing direction for the manga, than we might have a moment where Naruto discovers that he's in love with her but due to current circumstances and the fact that he wouldn't push his feelings on her because she might still like Sasuke, will make him bottle everything up and try to continue on like nothings new. Sakura could find that she's fallen for Naruto and...well actually I can see her doing the same thing too, because she might not be sure how he still feels for her and worry that if these new feelings of hers would only complicate his life more (darn lack of communication they have at the moment), but between the two of them I think Sakura would be the first to admit her feelings to Naruto. The only way I can see Naruto confessing first is if he's dying at the time and wants to tell her how much she means to him (you know like in all those books and movies where the main characters admits his true feelings before dying) .

I think Sakura would confess first because:

1. She's more emotional and I don't think she will be able to keep those feelings to herself for long.
2. She's used to it because she confessed to Sasuke already although I understand that she will be more careful with Naruto because she doesn't want her another love lost.
3. Sakura is smart enough to understand Naruto's feelings by analyzing all what he said to her, how he was always nice and ready to serve for her and how he would given his own happiness for hers and ending on how many times he tried to ask her out despite her sometimes brutal rejections. Sakura is also smart enough to understand that the only reason Naruto hasn't confessed yet is because he isn't sure how she will react. He understands very well that if he will confess to her too early or at the wrong time he might lost all the progress in their friendship that was made. So from that short analyze she can easily understand that it's up to her to take their relationship to another step.
The only thing that stops her from it is fact that she doesn't have time or doesn't have the courage to explore her feelings and tries to concentrate on the matters at hand. Even though she won't be able to use that excuse for much longer because the more time she will spend with Naruto whenever it will be just spending time doing ordinary things like walking, eating and such or fighting against their enemies together, she will discover that she has a gigantic effect on Naruto and will eventually seek for the cause because she isn't a type that will accept everything around her easily. She needs to know why, that's why she'll eventually end up exploring her feelings and realizing how she feels about him.

And about your work? I don't know I haven't been around for that long to have an answer right away. But I guess both you and Bad Milk are good at this. Maybe you should form a duo of topic makers that would end up with much larger variety of topic because two topic makers can think of more topics than just one.

Everything is dictated by supply and demand. With the decreasing number of ramen, an increasing number of Naruto clones would go crazy and die off, until there are few enough to be fed with the existing amount of ramen. We'd thus reach an equilibrium between the number of Narutos and the amount of possible ramen supplied.

It could come in cycles too, with periodic overpopulation and underpopulations of Narutos. Eventually one might get mutations in a way to adapt to different food sources, though such a process would take mighty long. :amuse

That might explain why there are more men (like myself) that are becoming more passive and understanding (not all of them though obviously). Originally, when males are embroyos, they were actually female in the very beginning but were introduced with an extra hormone given at the right time to make us male.

Naruto has already confessed - more or less. (Are we talking about confessing to being in love or confessing to being interested?) I think that he'll continue to do the latter, but he'll avoid the former. Personally, I think Sakura will be the one to confess first. I just don't see Naruto as the kind of person who would confess first because he might think Sakura still likes Sasuke, or he just may not want to trouble Sakura with something like that. He doesn't seem like the very open kind of person when it comes to relationships like this. He likes to hide his feelings about personal matters like that, IMO.

Sakura, on the other hand, will finally realize her love for Naruto and confess to him and tell him how much he means to her and other gushy stuff like that. I have no clue when it will happen or what will be going on when it happens, but Sakura is definitely the one who's going to confess first.:nod

That's what I figured so it's how I answered it. (Except for the first sentence.)

He might think that Sakura already knows or suspects and so figures that it's in Sakura's court. By not confirming it himself, he's not making her reject him (since I presume that he thinks Sakura is in love with Sasuke, as per chapter 183) and it keeps their friendship from being awkward.

Or maybe I'm thinking too much about it. I don't think that Naruto thinks too hard about these sorts of things. He just feels them. (So maybe he's "feeling" this?)

Actually new studies suggest that the Y chromosome is both bigger than previously thought and able to self-repair.* Also There is the possibility that if it does shrink it'll only wither to one gene but stay there like in kangaroos. Then you have to take into account that only working genes are passed down. All in all it look like human males are here to stay.

Here's my response to your topic. I posted it earlier but I doubt that many had read it though and I think that's one of the best ones yet because it takes into consideration all sorts of things.

I think Sakura would confess first because:

1. She's more emotional and I don't think she will be able to keep those feelings to herself for long.
2. She's used to it because she confessed to Sasuke already although I understand that she will be more careful with Naruto because she doesn't want her another love lost.
3. Sakura is smart enough to understand Naruto's feelings by analyzing all what he said to her, how he was always nice and ready to serve for her and how he would given his own happiness for hers and ending on how many times he tried to ask her out despite her sometimes brutal rejections. Sakura is also smart enough to understand that the only reason Naruto hasn't confessed yet is because he isn't sure how she will react. He understands very well that if he will confess to her too early or at the wrong time he might lost all the progress in their friendship that was made. So from that short analysis she can easily understand that it's up to her to take their relationship to another step.
The only thing that stops her from it is fact that she doesn't have time or doesn't have the courage to explore her feelings and tries to concentrate on the matters at hand. Even though she won't be able to use that excuse for much longer because the more time she will spend with Naruto whenever it will be just spending time doing ordinary things like walking, eating and such or fighting against their enemies together, she will discover that she has a gigantic effect on Naruto and will eventually seek for the cause because she isn't a type that will accept everything around her easily. She needs to know why, that's why she'll eventually end up exploring her feelings and realizing how she feels about him.

And about your work? I don't know I haven't been around for that long to have an answer right away. But I guess both you and Bad Milk are good at this. Maybe you should form a duo of topic makers that would end up with much larger variety of topic because two topic makers can think of more topics than just one.

And please let's keep this topic on it's track? I'm sure it's very interesting for some of us to explore the future destruction of male gender but can you please do it elsewhere? This forum does have an off topic section if you don't know.

Well, as most people if not all have said, I think Sakura will confess first. Why? Naruto has shown that he does not want to interfear with her being happy. And in his mind her being happy is her being with Sasuke. This isn't neccisarily the case though. Sakura has shown repeated signs of having feelings for Naruto. While she may not love him quite yet, I don't think she truely realizes the depth of her inner feelings for her teammate and friend. As of now, Naruto is the person closest to her and she will do most anything for him as she has shown when she tried to calm him from his four-tailed Kyuubi state. Right now, she doesn't even know it, but Sakura loves Naruto.

I think, if Naruto were to end up in a situating in which he could end up being killed she will be the one to protect him and she will confess her feeligns. I'm niot really sure exactly how it will work out but I could see Naruto getting beaten by Sasuke and then Sakura protecting him as he's about to be killed. (or something in that general range)

Well, that's how I see it. I'll keep it short but sweet.smile-big

Well, yeah, we do know that Sakura will always care about Sasuke regardless (we just do not know if it is still romantic love) but she most likely is starting to fall for Naruto, little by little. Either way, she still wants Sasuke to come back because he is her teammate and she wants to desperately help Naruto with the rescue and protect him from the Akatsuki. That could be love, at least I hope, we just have to wait and see.

It is also developed in a beautiful way so if they do get together, they actually do have reasons why they decided to be together because of everything they have been through together and supporting each other along the way.

She sighs, softly, and shuts her eyes close, her fingers unconsciously moving and tangling even further into golden locks; her arms bringing him closer, even if just to feel his warmth.

She has never been able to hold him like this; so close, so intimate, so loving; at least not when he was awake.

Every time she dared to bring him closer to her—to her heart—he was never there; his eyes were always closed, his mouth shut, his mind far away; far away into a place where he couldn’t feel her, nor hear her words.

Into a place that separated them; that placed an invisible barrier between them; even when they were so close..

..So close, but yet so far.

There are times, when she feels like breaking; breaking because her words land in deaf ears, breaking because he never lets her finish what she wants to say; breaking because he isn’t there when she wants him to be there. Breaking because this need of telling him, of showing him, has somehow become too great, and she just can’t hold it in any longer.

Breaking because all the effort she made to whisper those simple words in his ears, were worth nothing.

Because he still was the same; he smiled at her the same way, his eyes shone the same way, his treatment was the same, and above all, his memories were the same. He couldn’t remember something that he wasn’t aware had happened.

And it just killed her inside, because no matter how much she just wanted to cradle him in her arms—or to just jump in his arms and let him cradle her instead—she can’t, because that’s not what a just-friend would do.
That’s not what she, the girl who has always loved Sasuke-kun, would do.

But wishing wouldn’t bring her anywhere, she knows; it never had, and it never will.

A lone tear makes it’s way down her cheek, and she feels the boy stiffen in her arms, before a groan leaves his lips; her emerald-orbs open with surprise, and widen, and she feels lost, for a few moments.

She feels frightened.

She feels like she has been caught.

But then she gets a hold of herself, and one of her hands softly and carefully leaves his body, and wipes the tear off her cheek, and it’s right there when his eyes open.

The deepest shade of blue meets green.

And though there’s still pain in his features, he manages out a smile for her.

“Sa..Sakura-chan..”

He whisper softly, weakly, and she nods, painfully swallowing the burning knot in her throat before finding her voice.

“Aa, Naruto… I’m here”

Something odd flickers on his eyes, and his smile enlarges somewhat.

“I.. I thought I.. heard something.. while I was unconscious”

The effect his words have on her is immediate, as her eyes widen, fright shinning clearly in them, her arms shaking.

But Naruto doesn’t notice any of this, his eyes were transfixed on the girls orbs, his heart beating way too fast for him to hear anything else.

“I thought I.. hear you say something..”

And silence engulfs them for a moment, and just when she is about to open her mouth and blurt out things that she wasn’t sure she was ready to say, he speaks again.

“…It must have been a dream”

“..A very beautiful one”

Something akin to a chuckle tries to leave his lips, but it just makes him fall into a coughing fit, his hand traveling weakly to cover his mouth, his eyes closing.

And that’s why he misses the immense grieve and deception that possessed Sakura’s orbs, and the tears that started to shine in them.

“Aa…”
She starts, her lower lip quivering, while she brings him close in order to try and stop his coughs.

“…It was only a dream..”

Wow I was right :amazed ya for me. As for researching or re-reading to much, I do/did neither, but I recalled those faces because they stood out for me in the chapter when I first read it, if that makes any sense.

I dunno, maybe it's just how they feel typing it, or it's aesthetics, it doesn't really matter, Naruto and Sakura are still together. Though, maybe NaruSaku means it's more centered on Naruto, and vice versa.

As for your topic we haven't seen too much evidence from Sakura's part but it could be similar to Rosette and Chrono's situation in the Chrono Crusade manga.
Basically both over the four years of working together grew to love (romanticaly) each other but never realised/acknowledged it because they were to busy trying to find/rescue Joshua, Rosette's brother who had been taken away by Aion.

Naruto and Sakura's situation kinda mirrors Chrono's and Rosetta's situation since both are spending so much time on finding/rescuing a lost friend/brother that they spend no real time on thinking of their own relationship and what they could mean to each other.

I think the general rule is that the male (dominant) comes before the female (recessive). Might sound a bit sexist, but just keep in mind that that's how the yaoi and yuri pairings are named too. :P

It's hard to say how it is in Sakura's case because at one point she wants to serve her loved one and at the same time most of those who are in love with her (Like Naruto for example) want serve her and treasure her like she the most precious being on the planet.

It's whatever the fandom choses as it's favorite. This sort of thing only dates from the late 1990's as a common thing in fandoms. You'll notice in "ships" (also a late 90's term creation for relationship fandoms within a fandom) that predate the later 90's the combo name thing isn't that common. For example I say I'm a Rogue and Gambit fan (from X-men comics) Some of the younger fans (shippers) have dubbed them Romy (which interestingly puts Rogue first, its Rogue+Remy=Romy) Sometime the name combo is inspired by what order makes something like a word- ie Spuffy from Spike+Buffy in Buffy the Vampire Slayer fandom. Sometimes it's a case of what name order has the most pleasing to the ear sound. I'd say that is the case with Narusaku, it flows better than Sakunaru, which still sounds like two seperate words because ru-sa flows over the tongue easier than ku-na. (ru-sa are soft sounds, where ku-na are hard sounds.)

True, Naruto and Sakura's relationship can be interpreted as just strong friendship at times but keep in mind that Naruto still shows an interest in her that goes beyond platonic from time to time when not on missions and plus with so much time being spent worrying on Sasuke's safety
they both don't get much time to ponder on the changing nature of their bond. So maybe when they get wind of Sasuke's current situation we might get to see them put a little more focus on each other since Sasuke no longer is facing the danger of being possesed or something like that.

As for Shika/Kure pairing...um I don't think she would take up the favorite student of her dead lover, since it would seem a little weird (not to mention perhaps ilegal) and Shikamaru kinda has a thing for temari dosen't he?

Ahh man that be so funny twist of fate. Shika having to take care of another girl that be sweet. Hmm on the NaruXSaku panel time. I think Kishimoto-sama wanted to reach500+ right if not someone correct me but we still have along way to go. So true there relationship is growing slow but i have hope it will pick up. Who know we might have another time skip where we see Naruto traing his and Sakura's love child remember Kishimoto-sama was a die hard fan of Akira Toriyama-sama's great Dragon Ball manga. From my point of view, the interruptions are symbolic for the fact that there's too much stuff going on for the two of them to get all mushy and emotional. I guess it's just Kishi's way of telling us "Wait till everything else is dealt with".

Well, I am looking forward to Sakura's fight with Sasori animated as well as when Sakura would run towards a Kyuubified Naruto (I wonder what type os sad music they are going to play). I do not like the new music for Naruto Shippuden at all, they should have use the same music, but oh well.
The KN4 scene is gonna be a LONG time away, considering the current pace of the anime. Personally, I love the new music, especially the music for Gaara vs. Deidara. It sounds so old and mystical. :amuse It fit perfectly with the scene; a battle in a desert village under the moonlight.

Yeah, but I miss the old music so much, the sad theme music on Naruto part 1 fits the sad scenes perfectly and so on. I think the rescue Garaa arc would only be about 20 or 30 episodes because usually the anime covers one in a half or two chapters in just one episode.

Hmm, I've been reading through some of my own posts in that debate, and I've realized that I tend to be overly aggressive. :P But it just really bothers me when people say how 181 was such a great scene, cuz it disturbed me. I think it was a great scene. Very emotional and tragic.

And I also think it wasn't romantic at all. It's the scene that convinced me that Sakura's feelings for Sasuke were immature and what totally killed SasuSaku for me.

I think I'm already debated out also. I've been posting off-topic - well, actually on-topic if you pay attention to the thread title :P- to avoid actually getting back in because I'd be awfully tempted to be rude.

I agree with you Krimson! Why can chapter 183 not be a great scene by more people? It was scene where it left with unspoken words from Naruto and yet he still put Sakura's happiness above his own and gaver her the promise of a lifetime!

I believe that a lot of fans do think that 183 was a great scene, even if they don't ship NaruSaku.

They either see it as Naruto letting go (or starting to let go) of his feelings for Sakura or don't see that confirming his feelings for Sakura as significant since Sakura still has feelings for Sasuke.

I think it's only a few that continue to see Naruto's feelings for Sakura as immature. (It's probably also just a few that see 181 as un-romantically as I.) But it really boggles me when people are puzzled at why one might believe that his crush has matured when he's showing such strong devotion towards her as well as continuing to show signs of physical attraction. It's one thing to disagree with those two adding up, but to be completely oblivious?

I hate it when they consider Hinata's crush as love, but not Naruto's crush on Sakura? Sakura is a mystery though, we still do not what she is thinking, but all hints so far have been pointing toward Naruto and Sakura, but I do not want to jump the gun like certain NarutoxHinata and SakuraxSasuke fans.

It seems like a lot of the arguement for why the NaruSaku pairing is better than the SasuSaku pairing, is that Naruto is nice to Sakura, cares about her, understands her feelings, and has been getting closer to her lately.

But I have to wonder, why do you think NaruSaku would work when LeeSaku didn't happen? if anyone says 'main characters' I'll stab them with a fork Lee is quite a bit like Naruto in some important ways; looking for acknowledgement (of his ability as a ninja. He's all about proving he's just as good as, if not better than, Neji right?) cares about Sakura (risked his neck to save her in the Forest of Death) tried to help bring Sasuke back, even though he was just recovering from a dangerous surgery, and he had a heck of an opportunity to get to know her when both her teammates were gone for two and a half years. She seemed to encourage him too, bringing him flowers when he was in the hospital (the same kind she got for Sasuke) and generally being nicer to him after the chunin exams. Yeah, he's a bit funny-looking, loud, weirdly close with his sensei and a bit of a nut sometimes that's why I love him but he's certainly better mannered than Naruto (or Sasuke for that matter) and generally, such a sweet guy and really serious about what he does.

So what makes Naruto so much better than him as a potential boyfriend?

The majority of NaruHina and SasuSaku shippers [or at least the real fans/intelligent ones] don't negate Naruto's feelings for Sakura and don't think that they don't matter. I just don't want you to think that all of us are like that, cause we aren't. However, most of us just believe that Sakura's feelings for Sasuke and Hinata's for Naruto were developed more than Naruto's for Sakura. That's our opinion. Meanwhile, a NaruSaku fan, such as yourself, would think that Naruto's feelings for Sakura were developed more or mean more. It's all opinion.
