A short-story featuring Aizen and Hinamori. Sometimes I really like them together. *sigh* If Aizen would not always be so evil....
Momo's Discovery
One day in Soul Society, Hinamori had, just a few months before, become the fifth division's vice-captain. She kept the squads head-quarter clean and swiftly cleared all the work she had to do and even a bit more.
Hinamori came around the corner where the captain's apartment was, the few Shinigami who were on guarding duty sighed at their vice-captains appearance but Momo did not care, she loved to please her captain. One word of appreciation made he day. Even after some months she could not believe she actually was Aizen Sousuke's vice-captain now.
Carrying a basket of what seemed to freshly cleaned clothes she entered Aizen's apartment without knocking on the door, the first time she had done so Momo nearly fainted and blushed crimson red but soon she noticed that Aizen somehow always knew she would coming in at that exact moment. Nowadays she was not as shy as before, entering his rooms without any hesitations and even a secret hope was embedded in her behaviour maybe she just once could catch a sight of something not so innocent and familiar to her. But it only was a faint secret hope of something she herself just was discovering.
Something was odd today, captain Aizen's usual: “Hello Hinamori-kun.” was missing. She looked around a little puzzled around as she placed his laundry in the living room.
Could it be? She thought. Is he taking a bath now. Suddenly she blushed deeply, rushing blood made her feel warm and excited. Could she dare it? Bluntly walking into his bathroom pretending not to know that he was there? Her inner self was debating with her about the duties and rules a vice-captain had. But she over-ruled those thoughts forcefully whispering:
“I got to know where Aizen-taichou is or I would be a bad vice-captain!”
With this resolve she finally pushed the door open anticipating to once see a surprised Aizen. As fast as this new feelings had come as fast they were gone again. There was no Aizen Sousuke, only an empty bathroom. A little disappointed she scanned the deserted room, wanting to turn and leave her attention got caught by a small book just next to the door and her.
She took it from the shelf it was lying on. Curiously she red the title:
“Diary!”
And he bells went on as she blushed deeply again but she could not behave herself and let her curiosity have it's way. Quickly she opened the last page that was marked. The last entry just was from this morning. She read on:
“The last weeks Hinamori's affectionate behaviour became very obvious. I wonder why I did not notice this before but now that I have, I am thinking about it constantly. She is very caring, nice and gentle. Something she should be praised for, it is something I for a long time have been missing in this world. Such a gently caring soul. I will invite her to dinner tomorrow, I would love if she accepted but probably she already found someone....”
Blushing even deeper as before she clutched the diary to her chest. She felt so happy, so happy. Yes she would definetly accept his invitation. Suddenly someone behind her spoke up:
“Hinamori-kun?”
She turned around with shaken eyes she saw Aizen standing in front of her. He wanted to say something more but she instantly fainted. And her world went black.
