Well, I'm surprised there wasn't a thread on this before. It seems that without WWII really opening up cultural borders, Japan became a nation of inbreeds. Thus the only time one of them use common sense, its when their a half-breed Brittanian. Actually, I believe this has been brought up multiple times, talk of how the japanese in this show are always portrayed as idiots. I mean, they have to do some stuff for drama and all, but it's been pretty consistent. Excluding britannia, there are usually only a couple intelligent people from each nation, and of course britannia gets made fools out of by zero, so I guess in their minds it all balances out.
