Rasengan users...???

I've read through the manga again and ive found something a bit strange...but i'm not sure about it...
When Jiraiya was teaching rasengan to naruto he said that if u master that technique you would be the 4th user of this jutsu...
The first one is the yondaime(the forth hokage)
the second is jiraiya
the third is...
the fourth is naruto>??
have i not well understood what jiraiya said or else there is another user of rasengan other than jiraiya,naruto and the fourth...
Could anyone confirm this to me???

It was yet another mistranslation, if I recall correctly. I think it was supposed to mean more along the lines of being the user of Yondaime's jutsu, rather than the fourth user.

Shouldn't Sandaime technically know the Rasengan though? It's stated he knows every non-bloodline limit jutsu in the village, so...

Didn't tsunande say there are only 2 people who could use that jutsu. Jyraiya and the 4th? and it was foolish to teach it to naruto.

I thought there were only 2 users before Naruto. Jiraiya and the 4th. But it would make perfect sense for the 3rd to know it as well. So if there was a fourth user... my money is on him.

Its said only the 4th and Jiraiya could use that Jutsu.

it took alone the 4th 4 or is it 5 years to invent the Jutsu. - And it doesn't use handseals. Its obvious someone have tried to acquire the Jutsu, even the uchiha clan must have tried to achieve it. But they couldn't. So its not an easy jutsu to achieve, besides its simpliality of only molding and forming your chakra in a palm.

The concept is simple but not the actual action of doing the jutsu. It takes and incredible amount of chakra control, which is what Naruto needs to be able to extract Kyuubi,s chakra when he needs to. Like in the situation with Gaara when the sand had surronded him and he still summoned Gamabunta.
