I can't relate to Naruto. i grew up with tons of friends and a loving family. So i really don't understand his loneliness or the bond he had. That bond was his first and only for a while so i couldn't compare it to the bonds with some of my friends that came and went.

I'm unsure to be honest. The connection Sasuke and Naruto have is likely incomprehensible by the likes of you or I. Both had suffered a tragic childhood, which eventually lead to their bonding, a situation that's rather hard to imagine. I have to agree that this kinda diminished his character in a lot of people's eyes and many don't like/make fun of him because of this dependency. However, what makes this different from a manga based on Jiraiya/Oro if he just gives up? It's obviously a symbol of his character. I understand your point though.
