The Devil Keeper.


This is the story of the Devil Keeper. A story of hardships, of betrayel, and of what is right and wrong. It is a tale of the light within the darkness, and the good that can be extracted from seemingly the most evil of deeds. It is a story of life and the troubles some of it's followers must face. It is a story, and that is all it was ever meant to be.

The world is that of Oria. It resembles our planet Earth, yet has a much more..."loose" sense of realism. It is a world of endless possibilites, and is open to any number of things your mind can come up with. There is no "possible" and "impossible," and it does not follow the laws of real life. Let your mind wander! Be creative! In this world, it is YOU who create the surroundings! It is YOU who create the "possible" and "impossible"! YOU create what is "real" and "not real"! But of course there ARE some ground rules, but we shall get to them later.

First and foremost, I must make the announcement that this RP is set in a world built around the imagination. HOWEVER, regardless of such, there are many serious issues and not everything can be fun/care-free. Actually, the basis of the plot is BUILT around a serious storyline and the hardships of the real world! It's still all creative and magical, but just with the emotions and troubles of the people brought into it. Ever see One Piece? Well, if you did, then that is the sort of world that I am aiming at here! Nothing WAY too mindblowing, but just something that breaks the boundaries of the real world and allows our mind to come up with some crzy things. What's that? You NEVER see One Piece? Well...there is nothing much I can do about that. But just think of this: An almost real world setting but with many fictional things happening, and with a lot of "magical occurances" or basically things that could not and can not happen in our world. And...that should be about it for this! I'm going to leave the main attractions and cities/places of the world all up to you. But just remember: I might not allow it if it seems too odd. There is such a thing as TOO CREATIVE here. I just want you to be creative, not to spit out off the wall nonsense.



The main story. It is about time I got to this, and I suppose it's something you have been waiting for ever since you opened this topic, huh? If not...then to hell with you! >=O I'ts the best part of the whole thing! The is nothing so complex! Nothing so mind-numbingly difficult to understand and heart-wrenching! NOTHING can stand to it's might! And here it comes:





The Devil Keeper (or just "The Keeper") resides within the world of Oria. If a person is to fall into a state of depression, The Keeper appears and grants one of his countless Devil's access to the human's soul. After a brief period, these humans shall succomb to the Devil's will and become a demon themselves. However, there exists an organization bearing the name of "Graedan" that wishes to exterminate all Devil's and put an end to The Keeper's crusade.





Exciting, wasn't it? Of course it was! I told you it would be awesome. (o.o)b
Ha ha. Anyway, now that the basic story has been told, it's time to go into the deep stuff.









The Devil's and thier cycle: Once possed, the human shall not notice any difference in themselves untill about a week or two later. After that, voices may be heard, or the host may start ot hallucinate and see things. He/she may also begin to have strange and horrific dreams and thoughts that tear away at their very mind. However, being possessed by a Devil also has it's "good" points. The human who has been cursed is able to wield that specific Devil's ability. Each Devil has a specific array of abilities assigned to it, so no two are the same. But the obtainment of said abilities is about the only good thing. The Devil shall slowly feed upon the human's soul and eat away at his/her sanity untill they break down completely and succumb to the Devil's desires. The body rot's away, and all that is left is the image of the Devil, whom continues to live and to seek out more power.

The Devil's, even while still housing themselves in the humans body, shall hunt down and devour any other humans possessed by other Devil's to increase their power. They wish to feed upon their comrades, and obtain a level of power that is near unmatchable. Because of this, the human that has been possessed is also able to see the Devil residing within other humans, and always face the urge to suddenly attack and fatally harm said people. Also, the devouring of other Devil's helps to increase the power of the abilities the Devil grants upon it's host.

The more control the Devil gains over the host's body, the more abilities become available to the host to wield; The more Devils it devours, the higher it's level increases and the more powerfull said abilites become. However, devouring other Devils increases the Devil's control over the mind and body, thus shortening the life span of the human host considerably.



Becoming a full demon/devil: Once the Devil has entirely devoured the mind and soul of the host, the physical body dies and breaks away, leaving only the monstrocity behind. At this point, there is NO WAY for the human to return and he/she is lost forever, with no hope of salvation what-so-ever.



Sealing the devil's power: Utilizing ancient holy magics, a tattoo of a circle bearing strange markings are placed upon a human possessed by a Devil. Said symbol shall supress the Devil within and stunt it's growth, nullifying nearly all of it's control over the host. However, even though it's control may be taken away, the abilities it allowed the host to wield are still accessible by the host. Once the seal is placed upon the body (it can be tattooed anywhere) the thrive to devour and see other Devils vanishes completely. However, the level of corruption and harm dealt to the body because of the Devil's progression remains the same, and sometimes a seal would do more harm to the host than good. The seal can only be applied by special members of the Graedan organization.


Making weapons from the Devil's soul: If a Devil has attained a certain level and bears a strong enough power, then once the demon is destroyed it's soul shall remain. Said soul can be forged and fused into a weapon of choice, causing it to develop many strange and mysterious powers. However, these weapons can not be wielded by an average person. No, because if they are, the Devil's soul in which the weapon was forged from shall slowly corrput the user, and tear their body apart from the inside-out. These people will suffer the same fate as those who were originally cursed with the Devil's pressence, and shall also eventually perish.

The weapon can be anything at all, as what objects the Devil can be forged with are near limitless. Also, depending upon the object, the power of the weapon may also change. (In other words, BE CREATIVE!)


Those who can wield the Devil Weapons: Born into the world are humans who have been "chosen" by god. They are a part of the grand figure, and a piece of the creator himself...or so the texts say. They were born for the sole purpose of combating The Keeper, and because of this Graedan has been looking for these select individuals ever since their uprising. They are key for combating The Keeper, and are those who can wield the Devil Weapons without any ill-effects to the body , mind or soul.


Demonic and Holy Magics: Through the hundreds of years they have existed, Greadan has developed their very own and unique way of combating The Keeper and his Devils. What is this method? The way of Demonic and Holy magics. Through years of research and development, the sorcerers stationed at Graedan had finally developed two special ways for those who are not connected to a Devil nor a Child of God to do battle against the Devil's. Demonic Magic delas with destruction, sealing, and cursing, while Holy Magics deal with purifying, healing, and creating. There are countless Magic spells, and a vast majority of them have been forgotten throughout the ages.



Graedan: An organization founded by "The Founder" (their leaders name) which seeks to put an end to The Keeper's reign of tyranny. It is run by a group of three individuals known as "The Three Emperors".

They have a wide range of members, but these three are given the most respect and are feared throughout the entirety of the Organization. They keep the order, and help to enforce the rules The Founder has placed upon the members. They have Three divisions, all of which are looked after by a specific emperor:

The Devil Division: Members who have Sealing Tattoo's placed upon them and house a Devil within them are placed within this divison. The First (Devil) Emperor is in change of this division.

The Holy Child Division: Members who are Children of God and wield a Devil Weapon are placed in this division. The Second (Holy) Emperor is in charge of this division.

Devil Arts Division: Those who specialize in the art of Magic are placed in this division. The Third (Magic) Emperor is in charge of this division.


They are housed within a great castle placed upon the banks overlooking the vast Ebon Sea (which is a sea that has been turned blood red through unknown forces.)

The Aspects: Those who follow The Keeper and are a part of his small "family". They represent a part of the body, and are all somehow connected to one and other in a way that has not been spoken of. The are as follows:

The Body: The container; Main figure classified with changing shape and maintaining appearance. It is genderless. It's abilities include:
-No set personality, as it can take on whatever personality it pleases.
-Transformation. It's entire body can be manipulated into a Solid, liquid, of gas-like state (thus it has no set appearance and can change into whatever it pleases.)
-May reflect the image of any person it pleases, taking upon their appearance down to the very last detail.
-Can copy a person's abilities and fighting style.
-Skilled at Demonic Magic.
-Others can be added by player.


The Judgement: An aspect of the mind willing to pass divine punishment upon those it deems unworthy. It has a set vision of what is right and wrong, and shall let no one alter that vision. It's abilities include:
-Wielding a massive hammer that has a cross at it's head.
-The physically strongest of the Aspects.
-Others can be added by player.


The Agony: Is the aspect of the mind that fears death and the pain in which the future may bring. it lingers on to the past, and wishes not to move forward. It's abilities include:
-Wields a scythe.
-Can open a path to his very own dimension: A place where time does not exist. It is an endless void, and where as he may spend years within, not a single second shall pass in the real world. He enters and exists this space as a form of teleportation.
-Can stop time within a seletced space.
-Others can be added by player.


The Heart: The center of the creation. It allows the function of all other aspects. It's abilities include:
-Re-drection of attacks. Ex: If you stab it, then the sword shall immediately phase back out at the attacker. It is as if the attacker is striking a mirrior and the reflection is striking back.
-The manipulation of her blood, plus the ability to turn herself into blood.
-Others can be added by player.


The Mind: The most intelligent and reasonable of the aspects. It is kind and caring, and can forsee it's targtet's movements before they make them. It's abilities include:
-Instant teleportation (thus is THE fastest aspect.)
-Telepathy and Psychic ailities.
-Can temper with victim's sanity.
-Others can be added by player.


The Anima: The soul. Gives compassion and love but is cruel and unforgiving. Deals with illusions and the inducement of hysteria. Her abilities include:
-Generation of illusions.
-Left eye holds within it the true body of Anima; A dimension all to her self in where she manipulates the physical body. Within the dimension is an vast sea of blood, with Anima chained and bound to a cross in the center.
-Others can be added by player.


The Will: The ability to move forward and the will to carry on. The ability of alter perception and robbing one of their will and confidence. It's abilites include:
-The most durable of the aspects.
-The fastest (speed-wise) of the aspects.
-Ability to steal the opponents will.
-Others can be added by player.


The Imagination: To imagine a world and to hold all aspects of creativity. The artist and creator. An ability to create reality through drawing, writing, and painting, Follows through with it's ideas to the very end, and devises plans of action for the other aspects. It's abilites include:
-The love of drawing, writing, and painting.
-The most creative and care-free of the aspects.
-Wield art supplies as weapons.
-Wields a large pole with a massive sharpener blade at it's tip.
-Others can be added by player.
