I just watched GG's sub. That was... very weird. I'm not quite sure what to make of all that exposition. So the 'Code' part of Code Geass is finally explained... that's cool I guess. But did Lelouch take CC's Code? Or did he somehow erase it with the Thought Elevator (thus also erasing her memories up until the point before she got her own Geass). But err... damn. I may have to watch that again. That was a lot of information to take in.

In any case, I gave it an 8.

Well the episode was a bit confusing, especially when C.C. and the Emperor were talking and that C.C. in black confused me even more.

So this episode cleared some questions like C.C. past and how the Geass works but also raises more questions.

I'll give it a 9, because it was thrilling to see Charles and Lelouch face to face and especially the cliffhanger.

That was by far one of the better episodes of this season. Though I wish that they would have revealed a little more about Charles and Marianne. But I'm glad that they revealed a lot more information behind the Geass.

It was hard for me to even care about C.C. tbh. Her role in this season has been so minimal. She felt like some side character.

There was to much of Charles Di Britannia in this episode for my taste,and seeing Charles pawn Lelouch didn't help at all either. Also the other scenes that were shown was completely useless shit. Oh my god like I actually care about Oghi and Villeta,Oh my god like I actually care about Nina and her nuclear bombs. Seriously,it would be 10/10 if they stuck to the original scenes instead of switching back and forth.

On a positive note I enjoyed watching C.C.'s past,and it seems like she lost her memory..

The charles vs lelouch stuff was just awesome, although I'll have to agree that the villeta/ougi stuff was totally unnecessary and annoying. The scene where Lulu use his Geass Combo with Mirror against the Emperor is epic...I was like mesmerized by that scene...That alone worth 10 points.

I don't like Mkv for the fact,that the filesize is so god damn big. A typical Mkv R2 Episode of Code Geass will be anywhere from 300MB - 360MB. For Eclipse .Avi it is 250MB,and the quality is better. Also most PCs require codecs in-able to play Mkvs,I know mine does. I've seened GG and Eclipse Quality,and I must say Eclipse is better.

my computer handles all files and codecs fine,300 mb as opposed to 250 is not that big of a difference...meh after season 2 im sure they will release a small avi batch torrent,ill download that whole thing and get rid of the big ass files I have now

well I'm not going to go into detail but when you have an Ati or nvidia card that supports AVIVO or Pure Video the card takes over the decoding. This way your CPU has more power to use for other matters. Especially when you want to decode HD material like H.264 in full HD on a 24" screen.

An other advantage is that the quality of the decoding is much better.

To see a movie or episode in HD you also need to have a screen that has at least 720p and a connection that has HDCP support like HDMI or DVI.
A good example is the Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP. This screen has every connection that you can imagine and has a resolution of 1920 x 1200.
1200 is larger then 1080p ofcourse, so you have a Full HD screen and it will have some black edges on top and bottom.

If you have all of this you can watch a HD episode in all it's glory.
