Hip Hop ensemble 3RD PARTY is poised to burst onto the national rap landscape with their rare brand of feel-good grooves. Based in New York City, the group has been rocking shows and airwaves in preparation for the release of their first studio album, Pressed For Time. Emcees Hired Gun, Farbeon and Rabbi Darkside meld their distinct styles with cuts by DJ Watts over beats by And I to create a truly unique sound. The group produces progressive Hip Hop that remains true to the aesthetics of the music and the culture, yet transcends region and genre, opening the door for a whole new generation of listeners while "renewing faith in Hip Hop" for those that have lost heart.

I randomly downloaded their album "Pressed for Time" earlier today and I must say, I quite like it. I don't listen to a lot of rap, but I do have some J5, Mos & Talib and Cunninlynguists for example.

When I put on the first track of the CD, I thought: Jurassic 5 clone. But after hearing the whole album, I don't think they sound that much alike.

There's a live cover/spoof of Black Star's track "Definition" on the album, fun stuff =)

If anybody wants to check it out, send me a PM

I am eager to hear, too. I always love good hip-hop. Especially feel-good hip-hop. There isn't a whole lot of that floating around (and I miss Tribe, De La, and Del a lot right now).

Send, plz! I will PM you also :D
