i dont know if some1 seen it.. but anyway... i downloaded 13 eps.. cos i saw jsut 13.. i thought wtf.. isnt it to short for a season.. but what the heck i guess im wrong.. and then i saw all 13.. and then i was like..wtf.. it didnt end.. WERE R THE REST OF THE EPS.. 14+?? i thought first maybe they didnt release them.. but i saw the ep 13 was released 2003.. i dont think it takes almost 2 years to make 1 ep.. weres the rest?? help me out guys :blink :(.. i want to know how it ends.. see hades.. know what that pandora girl has to do with 1 of them.. :sad

Saint Seiya Hades are 13 OVA's from the original series Saint Seiya which has 114 episodes. The Hades arc is from the manga, but the OVA's don't even cover half of it. TOEI animation which is encharged of animating the series, hasn't said anything about continuing with the OVA's, there's been many rumors that say they'll do it this year or in 2007, but nothing is confirmed yet. Too bad since this is the best part of the series...

I can't seem to find it. The first 50 episodes or so has been released on DVD, however for some reason they aren't releasing the rest. I then thought that I could properly find some fansubs for that, but for some reason I can't. And I really hate to start on a series I will be unable to finish, so just buying the DVDs that has come out is not much of an option to me.

Does anybody know some place to get the rest?

Well AznAnime subbed up to episode 51. I got it from their irc channel, but don't think they have a bot containing all the episodes anymore, probably due to the fact that they seemed to have stopped subbing it due to lack of staff. Though you can get the torrents of this website. http://aznanime.yi.org/Bittorrent/

Though I don't know any group that subbed past that in English, I was only able to find the manga in Spanish, though Viz is releasing the manga, they've released up to around volume 15 or 16.

The series is good, at least while taking into account the time it was released... though I haven't watched or read everything yet, I'm still watching the Hades OAV.

The anime is based on the manga series of the same title (above). The animation series by Toei Animation first premiered in Japan's TV Asahi on October 11, 1986. Masami Kurumada said that he doesn't like the anime, but agreed to transfer the manga to anime because of a tradition of make an anime from every manga.

Classic Ep 1-114 (TV Series)
The first anime series was produced by Toei Animation from 1986 to 1989. It was directed first by Kōzō Morishita (episodes 1 to 73) and then by Kazuhito Kikuchi (episodes 74 to 114). The character designers were Shingo Araki and Michi Himeno, and Seiji Yokoyama composed the soundtracks. The chief script writers were Takao Koyama and Yoshiyuki Suga.

It has three main parts: Sanctuary (episodes 1 to 73), Asgard (74 to 99), and Poseidon (100 to 114). The Asgard arc does not exist in the manga and was made directly for the anime. There have also been five theatrical releases (three short movies and two full-length ones), which do not belong to the regular chronology, as they contain several story line contradictions. The movies are Saint Seiya (Saint Seiya Gekijōban), The Gods's Ardent Battle (Kamigami no Atsuki Tatakai), The Legend of the Crimson Boy (Shinku no Shōnen Densetsu), Warriors of the Last Holy War (Saishū Seisen no Senshi-tachi) and Heaven Chapter ~Overture (Tenkai-hen Josō~Overture).


Saint Seiya OVA Hades/Inferno/Elysion 1-31
Chapter Sanctuary
The first 13 episodes of an OVA series corresponding to the Hades saga were broadcasted on Animax (a Japanese pay-per-view channel) from November, 2002 to April, 2003, and then released on DVD during the year 2003. Before that, the Hades saga could only be seen in the manga. These 13 episodes were named Hades - Chapter Sanctuary (Meiō Hades Jūni-Kyū Hen).

This OVA series was directed by Shigeyasu Yamauchi, still with character designs by Shingo Araki and Michi Himeno, scripts written this time by Michiko Yokote, and soundtrack entirely taken from Yokoyama's work on the previous TV series.

Chapter Inferno
Two years after the first part of the Hades saga, Chapter Sanctuary, a second part was produced in 2005. This second chapter was named Hades - Chapter Inferno Part 1 (Meiō Hades Meikai Hen Zenshō) and consists of six episodes. However, most of the original seiyu have not reprised their roles. For example, Masakazu Morita replaced Toru Furuya as the voice of Pegasus Seiya, Yūta Kasuya replaced Ryo Horikawa as the voice of Andromeda Shun, Hiroaki Miura replaced Koichi Hashimoto as the voice of Cygnus Hyoga, Katsuyuki Konishi replaced Hideyuki Hori as Phoenix Ikki, Takahiro Sakurai replaced Hirotaka Suzuoki as the voice of Dragon Shiryu and Fumiko Orikasa replaced Keiko Han as the voice of Saori Kido/Athena. Hideyuki Tanaka, however, reprises his role as the narrator. Hirotaka Suzuoki, the original voice actor of Dragon Shiryu, passed away on August 6, 2006 due to lung cancer.

Toei Animation released on the same Animax channel the first two OVAs on December 17, 2005, followed by the next two on January 21, 2006. The last pair were released on February 18, 2006. Shortly after their TV broadcasting, (for 2 months) they were released on DVD in 2006.

This short OVA series was directed by Tomoharu Katsumata, again with character designs by Shingo Araki and Michi Himeno, with scripts by Yosuke Kuroda and soundtracks still taken from Yokoyama's previous works on the TV series of 1986 (but Yokoyama composed 2 new tracks for this OVA).

On July 4, 2006, the newly released Saint Seiya Vol. 15 manga (Japan Complete Version) brings a news: Hades - Chapter Inferno Part 2 (Meiō Hades Meikai Hen Kōshō) anime has been started on July. Toei Animation officially announces the news on its website on July 18, 2006. It has been decided that Hades - Chapter Inferno Part 2, which contains 6 episodes in total, will be released from December, just like the first Meikai OVA series. The first two episodes of Inferno Part 2 on Japan's Sky Perfect TV from December 15, 2006 to January 4, 2007, with the next two episodes on Sky Perfect from January 19, 2007 to February 1, 2007 and the last two from February 16, 2007 to March 1, 2007.

Heaven Prologue (5th movie installment Overture).
A fifth movie came out in Japanese theaters in 2004, Heaven Chapter - Overture (Tenkai-hen Josō), which is supposed to follow the regular chronology right after the end of the manga (which has not been entirely adapted to anime yet) as a prologue to a new chapter. Toei Animation first announced that this new chapter would be a new animated series, but later Kurumada stated that he wanted the movie to be part of a trilogy, but unfortunately Masami Kurumada cancelled the whole project since Toei Animation had diverted from his original script and was unhappy with the result. Thus the conclusion of the heaven chapter will only be revealed when Kurumada starts on the manga again.

What can I say, its one of the few series that gets poor recognition now. But the fact remains, it was an international success. Its graphics was ahead of its time, but the musical score placed a new standard, that follows today’s anime.

Its going to be a challenge to locate all 114 episodes subbed. But I shall give it a shot.

The TV series only covers up to the events that took place in the Poseidon arc.
However the OVA takes place right after up until the conclusion of the Hades Arc (which is ware the original/classic manga ends).

However Movie #5 is open for debate. Not from the direct quotes the movie makes to its manga roots…but because it was stated that it was originally meant to follow the events after Saint Seiya manga. And let it progress to Zeus or Olympus chapter.

Just watch the first movie "the golden apple" and it made me lol because it exactly follows the rules of Saint Seiya.:lmao

- First rule is a technique doesn't work twice on a Saint
- Athena always needs to be saved (kidnapped or could lose her life)
- Seiya always fight the first and the last opponent
- Shun will be saved by his brother at some point

Me too, Saint Seiya is a classic here in Spain, it was one of the series of the anime "boom" in the early 90's...

How about we start talking about fauvorites? :D

My fauvorite bronze saint is, of course, Phoenix no Ikki :D (Badass beyond belief :LOS)

Close to him in my fauvorite list is Scorpio no Milo.... ANTARES > U! XD. Awesome character there :P.

I really like Saint Seiya but I have to say the ovas after the Sanctuary arc feel so cheap: it's like they were given $2 to complete the project. Too many animations being reused and too many static images gliding across the screen.

Anyway, I'm mostly excited because Kurumada has started a new Saint Seiya manga which is a prequel to the original story. This is encouraging because it might lead to the continuation of the original story after the Hades chapters.
Many have speculated that Seiya and the others might take a trip to Mount Olympus and even confront Zeus.

Its no diffrent to what happed in the classic anime after the Sanctuary Arc. (the Irony) the fillers took a step down from quality, and the next arc just plunge.

I can't. Only Episodes 1-60 have been English Dubbed, and none of the anime encoding groups on AniDB or Baka-Updates have ever released dual audio dvd rips.
