What first drew you to the Narutoverse?

So what was it about Naruto that first got you so damned addicted?

Hmm...well I had started watching Naruto during the tail end of the whole "Gaara vs Sasuke vs Naruto" arc, and that was only because there was nothing better to do at 5:30pm on a weekday night. But it essence, I guess the main reason I kept watching it was because of the characters. Gaara intrigued me especially, and I was curious to know more about him. That, and at around that time, before I even payed attention to Naruto (The character) I found Sasuke rather...you get the idea xD So I ended up wanting to watch the whole series.

And that's how I ended up becoming a big Naruto fan. Not the most original way to get hooked, but whatev xD;

~Skipped the Zabuza arc, and skipped the Chuunin exams because I thought it was crap. Saw a Toonami commercial for Naruto's fight against Kiba and watched it, wheh the cliffhanger came I watched a couple more episodes to see the result.

I was going to stop, but Neji showed up and I wanted to see how he fought. THe way Neji and Hinata faught eachother was awesome enough to carry me into Lee's fight, and then after that it was purely about finding out if he got helped or not.

EVentually leading me to the kickass Nara, who pwns anything he does with a lazy charm. I suppose it went downhill from there, though I'm probably just watching for the sake of the end.

Personally, I don't really even like Naruto at all. Apart from Sakura, Shikamaru, Temari, Kisame, and Neji the rest of the series is pretty failtastic. :pek

Naruto and Sasuke's fight against Zabuza in the manga, when Kakashi was trapped. I remember buying Shonen Jump and glancing over the manga a few times but it never drew me in until that moment because I had to reread it a couple times to really figure out what happened. When I figured it out, I couldn't get over how cool the teamwork and strategy was. After that the characters had me hooked.

My friend (A) had a friend (B) who was into anime, and B got A into Naruto. I was at A's house one day and he was watching one of those filler episodes (one where Rock Lee and Might Guy fight each other in the form of puppets), and I was like 'Hey. This sucks.' My mate REALLY wanted me to get into it, so he made me watch the whole Valley of the End fight, which didn't really impress me.

Over time, I got into Bleach, and kept away from Naruto. I got my ideas for my own manga about a guy with a demon sealed inside of him (lol i r kri8tive(and trust me, I've got a lot more fucking creative shit than that in it, don't doubt me just yeeeet!))), told friend A, and he says 'well, that's the main character of Naruto!'. Me = :facepalm. At the time, Shippuuden was about 2 weeks away from starting, and I thought 'meh, I'll give this a go if a new series of it is starting', and I started watching, and it was only about 2 weeks in that I thought 'hey, this is shit'. I then read the manga from Part 2 onwards and really enjoyed it, so I went back to Part 1 and watched most of it.

I've never really been 'impressed' with the Naruto series, but it's just kind something that piques my interests. Plus, Hidan rules, and Sasuke half-rules.
