I gave it a 9. Alot of good comedy and lu lu getting himself out of that bind was funny.
The knights that came where very cool ( Zino is the man!). Music was very good and the dramatic ending really put me at the edge of my seat.

I'll give it 7. Not the best episode in the series, but some funny moments, fanservice as well as a dramatic ending earns it that rate.

It was a pretty good episode, the ending was a good setup for the next few episodes. Next episode should be epic though :nuts

Difficult Question. It was alittle bit funny, especially with CC and Pizza again. Or Viletta being forced by Shirley.
Then there was the great scene with Viletta, which lead to another subplot being formed, which will hopefully open the Ougi x Viletta route xD"
Speaking about subplots, there was a lot mentioned. Like Diethard and Rhakshad arranging something. Lloyd & Ninarina coming over. VV & tha emperor... as well as the chinese bodyguard on the move again... ah and Rollo's Geass' Weakness o___o Did I forget something? Ah maybe the inner conflict in the reformed Kuro kishi-dan o_o
But then there was Suzaku, which annoyed the heck out of me... especially the last part... all I could think of was: That fucking bastard ò__ó! But that showed how good it was. Overall good inbetween episode. But it was just that, so:

It was okay, I'm interested in what happens with Villeta. She might have liked Ogi when she was with him, but i don't see that as a reason for her to abandon everything she has been working for. If that is the reason for her working with Lelouch, it is a feeble one.
Spinzaku's personality changed a bit from last time. Now he is no longer saying all these inconsistent things, he is being a douche out in the open.
Lancelot is one of the better Knightmares still. Anya's Knightmare wasn't that "fabulous", although Zino's weapons are interesting. I would love if the Gawain makes an appearance (upgraded with other weapons and more Slash Harkens).
Funny enough, it had two of my most hated characters acting annoying as usual (Temaki/Spinzaku)

8/10. I thought it was funny. Probably the first Ashford episode that I've actually sorta liked. lol @ Lelouch pushing CC into the crate of tomatoes.
I can't say I liked the twist with Nunnaly as Governor though. And Suzaku needs to die a thousand deaths.
It good enough to watch. :LOS

Rating in cases like this is pointless; why do we even have threads like this?
Giving an episode an 8 and saying you only "sorta liked it" seem to be way to inconsistent. Opinions are abstract and we are all subjective in regard to how we express our opinions.

I would give this episode a pretty good rating because of the nice plot twist in the end but Suzaku pretty much ruined that. I still don't fucking understand why Lelouch didn't order Rolo to kill that idiot.
Also what the hell is up with the surveillance system? Last episode, they were acting as if they were able to monitor every one of Lelouch's moves but they weren't able to monitor Lelouch talking with C.C. :S
A lot of plot holes as usual but it was pretty good. Would've been better if something happened to Suzaku. Like maybe losing a leg or an arm.

Didn't like it at all. The festival were just like the last one, nothing special happening.
Loved the ending though. What will Lulu do now?

All right, who called it? I know there was a few people who said that Nunnally would become Governor-General in that Nunnally thread. Anyway, I'm more surprised over the fact that that theory came out to be true than the actual ending of the episode.
Pretty good episode. Nice mix of comedy, school life, and drama. The pacing in the series, however, still feels really awkward and... fast. I don't know what it is, but I have issues with the pacing. 9/10

i thought this episode was going to be something like a 4 or a 5, i was wrong. Its a 6. There was nothing too good apart from the twist at the end and suzafag makes everything fail. There was a tense moment or two, and there was me wondering why zeno and anya didnt just massacre the black knights there and then. Bad episode is the worst of the season so far along with episode 3.

Nice eyecandy with the cosplay taking place during the festival, but the episode didn't leave me with some sense of satisfaction like the previous episodes. If not for the ending with Suzaku catching Lelouch off his guard (if only temporarily), I would have rated it lower, but it gets a 8/10 from me.

I can't be bothered to do a summary this week - The episode was too poor for me to put forward the required effort.
The small sections of the episode that weren't filler seemed like they were being fast-forded through, while the filler parts went on too long. There was also an excessive amount of fan service, Viletta wearing nothing for no reason, Kallen's arse being focused on for no reason and lots of swimsuits.
Am I supposed to be watching Zero's epic war against Britannia or Lelouch's day to day life at school around sluts?
I don't like how emotionless Suzaku is: Apart from him mentioning Euphy once when Arthur stole something from him, you'd think he'd forgotten about her entirely. It was bad enough seeing him decide not to kill Lelouch and get his revenge...
Talking of Suzaku, the Lelouch/Suzaku flashback was annoying to sit through. I don't need to see a cheap retelling of their history, just like I don't need to hear C.C.'s voice say the same lines at the start of every bloody episode.
Also, this whole Knights of Round stuff looks like it's going to be a negative: Gino's mecha looks like something from Power Rangers and the huge amount of youngsters piloting mechas instead of adults is already pissing me off before they start fighting in them.
On a related note, Anya was clearly designed simply to piss me off. It seems her purpose in life is to take perverted pictures of women (copy of a Vandread character) and play with her mobile. She's popular, worthless, looks 12 and pilots one of the new super mechas - There's more than enough reasons for me to hate her.
The ONLY truly well done part of this mess was the ending - It made my cheeks tingle to see Lelouch's horrified expression, him knowing he couldn't speak and act like he knew her unless he wanted Suzaku to kill him. It didn't surprise me that the only time Sunrise put any effort in for the ending, Sunrise wanting to throw something in to get the viewers back next week.
If the quality doesn't improve, I might end up dropping Code Geass. I'm very pissed off about how badly Sunrise are fucking this up.

8/10. I really believe that each episode has been good so far. With that being said...I understand the lower scores. This season hasn't been as good as the first season so far. If anyone came in with expectations of this season surpassing the first season...then they are just setting themselves up to be disappointed.
One thing that has really impressed me so far is that the animation hasn't dipped. This was a perfect episode to do save a few bucks on considering it was an Ashford Academy episode.
Next episode looks good.

Not really; most people seem to be going crazy over S2 - Just look at rating it has already after 5 episodes on MAL and how many people rated this episode 10/10 on AS.
I'm obviously quite different from most. Most people love humour I don't find funny, love fan service and don't mind the fact Code Geass is turning more comical than epic. I never will understand how the minds of others work...
All the hype while waiting for S2 has caused me to be extra harsh out of frustration. Sunrise showed with S1 that they had the ability to make one of the greatest series of all time, yet they seem determined to go backwards before going forwards with S2.

Well, I guess I should clarify a little bit. I thought the first season ended with a lot more momentum than we have at the moment. The start to the second season might be better than the start to the first season...if you want to look at it that way.

The introduction of Zino and Anya could've been much worse.I actually quite liked the fact that the ep was set in school. There were some comedic moments(not to mention Viletta:zaru). The end was epic indeed. It just tore you apart from the lighthearted mindset of the ep

8/10 for me.
Pretty funny and eye candy episode...and the twist in the ending definitely leave me some satisfaction... .It quite amazing that C.C didnt have the intention to kill Lulu afterall what have he done on her..
It seem Pizza indeed is C.C biggest weakness, if only V.V and Britannia know her weakness ..they wont wasting their 1 years time to bait C.C.
I always like the Ashford episode because I really enjoy watching the mighty terrorist- leader Lulu got ordered around by Milly....where is your dignity huh, Zero?
It clearly that Milly > Brittania Army, C.C., Kallen, OBK, Suzaku because she actually treat the terrorist leader as her slave...
and yeah, More Anya scene = Win.

6/10...way too much Suzaku acting like a scumbag and a bunch of unecessary scenes like the flashback at the start. I kept wanting Rollo to stab him but sadly it never happened :(. Pretty fillerish episode until the last few min too, only thing that really saved it was the ending. Worst episode of the season so far imo but next week should make up for it hopefully.

The episode was pretty good. 7/10 for me. The scene where Lelouch gets out-paced by everyone while chasing Zino was pretty funny. smile-big I didn't expect Zino to have such a childish voice though. And the twist at the end of the episode is going to be interesting. :)

Ep. 5, the episode whose summary made me drop Code Geass R2. After reading the full episode summary in RandomC and other places, as I was told I must, I was forced to watched it...
First, I'll get this out of the way, Ashfail is fail. Shit-tsu, going into Ashfail for Pizza was just :facepalm what was she going to do if Suzaku saw her? Fucking ugly brain dead hag, Lelouch is fucking lucky that the school doesn't have cameras all over the place(Intelligence Division fails so hard).
And then Viletta, Sunrise just turned her into a whore for wearing that skimpy bikini(she could have just said no to Shirley), and why on earth didn't she recognise Kallen? Not that it really matters now. Oh and, how much time did that recap, courtesy of Lelouch and Lord Suzaku, ate up? :facepalm
Now to the other outside of Ashfail parts...
I definitely understand Chiba and the others distrust towards Zero. He betrayed them during the Black Rebellion, made the Elevens suffer even more after giving them hope then snatching it away when he left them just when they were about to achieve their Freedom. Not to mention, that bullshit excuse that asshole gave.
I don't know what's going on in Todou' head but I hope he'll confront Zero about this soon, or Zero taking the initiative for once. He's going to regret not trusting his Knights one day.
Zino was awesome! Is what I was going to say but he doesn't deserve it. Fighting against 5th generation Knightmares in a 7th Generation Knightmare is not impressive, it's pathetic actually.
Kallen again, acting like she' Zero' wife. I hope she dies. She even managed to snuck in her fail fanservice. :facepalm
Finally, I got a wicked smile on my face when everyone started calling Suzaku "Lord Kururugi". However, what really made my day was when Nunnally and Lelouch "talked". I laughed like a maniac at the look at Lelouch unworthy halfwit face. That face that spells OWND. That was just beautiful.
Rating: 5/10 The fail in this episode cannot be ignored.

Pretty good episode. Nice mix of comedy, school life, and drama. The pacing in the series, however, still feels really awkward and... fast. I don't know what it is, but I have issues with the pacing. 9/10
Yeah, pacing is a major issue for me too. The music also just doesn't seem to go with the show most of the time. There's a load of different things happening all the time but half the time the song just stays the same throughout and you lose the emotion.
That said, I it wasn't too bad. It wasn't as good as the Ashford episodes of last season but it did alright. Villetta's fanservice was quite amazing. Same with Kallen, C.C.'s tomato dive, and Shirley. Her fight with Kallen was epic :LOS
I felt sorry for Rivalz at the dance. Zino that bastard better lay off Millay :C and ...Suzaku for that matter. He was ok otherwise but he had some dumb lines. Anya is just a boring shit. I didn't think she'd turn out so lame.
Unfortunately, I'm finally starting to dislike Suzaku. As one of the people who has stood by him throughout everything, I'd just like to say that he better cheer up and act right with Lelouch instead of going underhanded like he did there at the end.
I'll say ...7.5/10 ...and round down.

Not joking.
I really don't like his eyes. He's starting to look like the Emperor. Charles might as well adopt Suzaku to take the place of Lelouch.
I realize Suzaku needs to find out once and for all whether Lelouch has his powers back or not, but using Nunnally is something he should reject doing if he has any semblance of his morality left.
