Your Own Geass...

Can't believe this thread didn't already exist, so much so that I'll actually get of my lazy ass to make it. That doesn't happen often...

So make up your own Geass, I'd like to some original thoughts from you guys. Lets hold this to a little higher standard than those make your own wtfpwn zanpakutou threads.

Mine came to me in a dream. Imagine my surprise when I woke up with a nasty case of red eye thanks to some popped blood vessels that same day. Well so mine was to rewire the brain to make it appear to the person you didn't exist. Seems underpowered, but it means being able to sneak around endlessly and means other Geass users couldn't get ya. Downside being it can't be undone.

Whenever I use it on a person that person would fall madly in love and would be willing to do ANYTHING of a sexual nature I ask her to do, such as dying her hair red and dressing up as Kallen.

There would be a bad side: If it went out of control I wouldn't be able to deactivate it, meaning I'd run the risk of mingers and even men falling in love with me through eye contact alone.

My Geass Power: When my Geass is activated a barrier of 500 meters surrounds the person,in that barrier they begin to experience horrific illusions,which can bring on severe mental/emotional damage upon them. Leaving them mindless after the Geass is deactivated.

Some obvious but useful powers that fall within the Geass category could be telepathy (but instead of hearing thoughts within a certain radius like Mao, you can concentrate on a person), clairvoyance, astral projection, and illusions.

Get Backers has already done the "see a horrible fate" thing, but I surely expect to see it in this anime at some point.

My geass would be possession, I would be able to enter a persons mind and control them as if I was them. So I would look them in the eye, take control stash my body somewhere safe and then fuck up everything, and then later return to my body leaving the person with no memory of what I did, and it will also allow me to gain access to all that persons memories :D

Its hard to come up with original ideas when its only limited to the mind. I don't think anyone mentioned mind control, of course its going to be a little similar to Lelouch but you posses their whole entire being at a given time which is 30 minutes. So instead of just giving orders you do it yourself through the person while still being conscious at the same time. You can get everyone at the same time, you have to make eye contact and the upgrade would be 30 minutes longer. You can also cancel out the mind control whenever you want.

free nerve endings send singles to the brain about heat, cold, itch, tickle, ect. my geass could make your brain get different singles, so i could make you itchy all over, or make you orgasm on command. it would just be funny to fuck with people, politicians, girlfreinds, ect.

A Geass that has the power to disrupt a person's mind processing system, making the victim become easily confused, battling against it's own psyche resulting in severe trauma, and hurting oneself and/or those around.

The marking appears in the person's right eye. The requirements are to be at least within a 260 meter range within the target. The Geass does require eye contact and an activation word which the uses choses when first making a contract. It is only deactivated when the target is no longer to continue, i.e; death, unconsciousness.

If the Geass becomes unstable and gradually attaining power, the more mentally unstable the user becomes, resulting in various results, such as multi-personality disorder, violent mood swings, and loss of free will.

mine would be like you use the geass on a person (via touch like CC does) and you can use that person's subconcious as a back up for your brain permanently or until it is dismissed depending on which function you use. the back up brain is just that, the geass user being able to use the victim's subconcious to process info faster or store knowledge you don't want ppl with mind reading skills to know you have. the victim will experience exhaustion if used to process too much info and if he is being used as a storage device then his ability to remember things might be impaired somewhat depending on the ammount of info stored.

Position: Both eyes

Area of Effect: A "bubble" around the same size as Rolo's. Anybody inside it is affected by the Geass

Power: To manipulate the brain as well as the chemicals it releases to create the experience of an emotion or sensation in the target. This can be subtle, such as making them feel guilt or embarrassment. It can also, in the extreme, be used to inflict agonizing pain or ecstatic pleasure (not unnecessarily of an sexual nature :wink)

Use Limits:
Can be used on the same person repeatedly, with no known limit
As long as I keeps the Geass activated (which I can for several hours easily) and the person stays in the "bubble," I will retain control over the emotions


Weaknesses:
After activating it (no matter how long it was activated) the Geass requires a "recharge time" of one hour
The target still keeps their regular emotions when under the influence of the geass; I can only add to them and not take away. Of course, by overpowering an emotion with it's opposite, I can achieve a similar effect
Although anybody in the "bubble" is effected by the Geass, the results are not individualized. If I want to make one person feel pain everbody in the bubble feels pain


Since every Geass we've seen would have a bad side effect if it grew stronger, I felt I would add one here:

Results of Geass Strengthening: The Geass would remain active indefinitely, causing everybody around me to have their emotions in constant flux if I don't concentrate or lose control of the power. If I become overcome with emotion myself, I could accidentally cause somebody around me to be affected. people would constantly be confused and assailed with emotions around me, and could become emotionally unstable and snap within minutes of being in my presence - which could end badly for me.

I would have to eventually make sure that only a very small amount of people are around me at a given time so I can focus on not modifying their emotions, leading to me being relatively isolated from close human contact. For example, I wouldn't be able to go to the mall anymore. :(
